Great job Oscar! The amount of Seat-Time you put in really shows. I was hoping they would open up to Club Racing too, but when I reached out to them a couple of months ago they said they were strictly Rental/Rental League. I was so hoping for another Club Track in our area.
Looks like pretty slow go karts to me. Felt like I was looking at an F1 race with Mercedes F1 on pole. Track looks fun to me when the kart would be a bit faster. Keep up the good work. And congrats with the win.
Great race Oscar. Question: How powerful are those engines? 8 HP? The track looks fun, however I noticed some bumpy areas and high kerbs. In fact you didn’t hit any. Great video!
Yes, I think they're around 8 or 9 HP. There are some bumpy areas but they're still working on things. It's a fun track and I did try to stay off the curbs.
Base on your experience how do you feel about rental vs own kart in both experience and cost? Am thinking buying a tag kart got practices sake. Thanks!
Dave - There's no substitute for owning your own kart but both serve a purpose. When you own your own kart, you can drive it as much as you want and you can make adjustments to help it run & handle better, in rental karts you get what you get. Of course owning your own kart costs a lot more to just keep it on the track and if you damage something, you get to pay for it. Rental karts are a great place to start and I still like racing them because they're challenging to drive (in their own way) and the competition is good in league racing but after a while I think a person will want their own kart because they'll want to go faster, drive something that handles better and race against other competition. If a person is able to, I'd definitely recommend buying a kart. If rental racing is what a person can afford, then rental racing it is...we just need to be racing something!
Illegal Alien Racing Thanks for the reply! I think a lot of people are on my boat( could afford a used or entry level tag kart, but daily a sports car so have to rig to tow it and lives in an apartment so nowhere to store). Would be awesome to see a video breakdown the cost related to that!
@@DaveWuDong Interesting video idea. I have a friend that stores his at his apartment complex. He tows with a trailer but doesn't drive a sports car as mentioned. Some people rent space in a trailer kept at the track and some tracks offer onsite storage. Thanks for the idea on that!
I had a question, I’ve been going here and dkc and I know the racing line but I’m still hitting the same times as used to when I didn’t know the track I was wondering if you had any tips on how to shave time or have I just got to keep going back and racing for a couple years to get faster?

There were 7 racers in the light class for the first league night.
I just got back from DKC and immediately thought of your channel. My best lap in the adult base car was 74.2. I’m 13. Any thoughts?

What kind of gloves do you use? Mine are getting worn out and I’m looking for a new pair for the rest of this season.
The ones in this video are Minus 273 (-273). They're thin and feel great. I also have some Alpinestars gloves that I like.
