I was touching up on all my online movies in my hard disk and found this great movie called "Hotel Rwanda" and instantly I remember the 1994 Rwanda genocide that led to 800,000 innocent people died within 100 days. How on earth could things like this happen in 1994? Then I saw a newspaper article today stating its been 25 years since the genocide in Rwanda. While there are countries still arguing whether to ratify the Rome Statute and still ignorant of what it really means, I like to dedicate this song sang by Paul Potts to the 800,000 lost souls under this horrific dark incident that happened 25 years ago and may their names never be forgotten.
Till now I remember when I saw him in his first show when he said I want to be an opera singer.When I look at him nowadays I feel so happy for him flying from one capital to another enjoying the fame that he deserves.

One of Calafs closest people Liu gave her life before revealing Calafs name to the princes. So maybe it is about hope, but selfis and arrogant hope...
Potts didn't invent this version. It was the 60s equivalent in Italy of Whiter Shade of Pale. Of course, the wording is totally different. Also, Italian just rolls off the tongue when singing. It's why all the major operas were written in Italian.
