  • Sioux Chief Test Titan provides a leak-free seal at over EIGHT times the PSI of other mechanical test plugs. It also provides high-pressure performance at an economical price. Back-to-front wedge design prevents blowouts at high and low temperatures and its non-slip shoulder allows for fast, easy installations.

    Great demonstration for the TTMP!

    misses the mark.
the idea is great, but for a 3 inch the force to turn the knob is too great, requires wrenches. Plastic and pipe wrenches don't mix.
second, the black thread is not smooth at the seam. like a pealing knife, it slices off the red nut. there is a self destruction going on. great for a one time disposable unit, but not for a working plumber.
what this screams for is metal on the thread to eliminate resistance and a slip washer/thrust bearing to allow it spin.
On the 4 inch, the expansion was all on the back side closer to the nut. the expansion looked like a funnel with the front not even expanding.
testing showed that with only one use, the red threads were torn and there were red flakes on the black thread.
the IDEA is fantastic. the device leaves a lot to be desired.
A real shame because of how great the idea is.

Wrong...I tried a 2 in and it wouldn't seal. I like red metal ones

    Cool.
How many PSI can the pneumatic version hold? And where can I get some in LA!

The Test Titan is designed for plumbing use only. The smallest size is 1 1/2".

I really don't see any benefit over the traditional style. These appear to be less durable.
