I don’t have one because I also just use my keyboard, but it seems like a big bonus from what I could see is that you can do everything with one hand instead of sometimes having to take your drawing hand to the keyboard.
Just got the blue tooth edition. I do 3d animation / video editing and digital illustration. Stoked that it will help with all. My new setup has my Cintiq a few feet from my main monitors so moving the keyboard is a pain.
Hmm, the only reason I could see Bluetooth not being included is they’ll probably say “ohhhhhhh new model with Bluetooth” they currently have two models out at the moment
It's only one function per control, right? I only ask because on the Tourbox site, as you scroll down the page, they have the dial on one example adjusting brush angle, and then the very next example, the same dial adjusting image rotation. That's not possible, right? Unless you are pressing another button at the same time to modify... It does seem a little pricey for me as a hobbyist, but I see they have a Lite version now for $95 but which has fewer controls.
Eh. Aside from the dial in the center, you can buy a game pad for half the price and it does the same thing. Not to mention they are built for gamers, so typically they feel nice on the hand.
Nice video, can the dial be set for horizontal scrolling? I'm not just talking about configuring the left, right, keyboard keys, I'm sure this can be done. I'm talking about real horizontal scrolling, the opposite of the normal vertical scroll wheel on mice (located between the left and right click buttons. The new Logitech MX Master 3 Mouse has a dedicated wheel for horizontal scrolling, that's what I mean. .
It doesn't do that natively, you'd need to send a key with the tourbox then have another program like autohotkey intercept that and send out the left right scroll
Thanks! I'm not sure about illustrator. I need to test it out there more for sure. But the device is the same no matter what program you use. I guess it just comes down to how often you use hotkeys in Ai.
My original got a loose dial after a year of use. They replaced it for free immediately as soon as I sent a video of it not working. They're good people, get on their case.

great review, been interested in this for a while, Ill wait for the version with bluetooth and iPad support :)
Yeah, not sure why it doesn't have bluetooth. Would be interested to see for the ipad for sure! Thanks for watching.

Bluetooth would increase weight and price and possible lag
That matte rubbery plastic usually goes tacky and gooey after time. Happened to other peripherals I have anyway. .. For me that is a big NO.
True, but 15 - 20yrs later.
Thanks for this video, I have been looking at this product for a while now and after watching your video it seems it has a lot of advantages . 👍👍

Great review, and lovely studio.
Awesome review saving time saves money
Great review. How do you think it would go in Illustrator?

Seems interesting for sure!
If it was less than half the price, I'd probably seriously consider it. Just too expensive.
