As a body guy never go to a insurance recommended shop. They are forced by the insurance company to install as many junkyard/aftermarket garbage as they can and are forced to locked rates in return for business. they hack things out to “make more money”. I highly recommend a certified by manufacture shop if you can.
love the videos and the animated personalities, and a shop with a sense of humor that maintains a sense of honor, we need more of these places and people. love the custom cars in the shop as well, got me whishing i could do up my medical scooter like your RX7, my whip is too slow.
OMFG I think you just helped me answer my problem. I have a 98 Aristo V300. I swapped the air intake to an HKS and I've had issues with acceleration. Almost like it stalls for a few seconds when I'm tryna floor the gas. The mas sensor is expensive too. I messed up. smh
As a body tech. The kia is the things I hate. Hack jobs. Honestly suspension and the quarter panel pissed me off the most because that's the safety of a customer.
When trying to "burp" the cooling system on those engines... rev it. Pump will create enough pressure to crack the tstat open and force thebair out. Revv it to about 2,500rpm and hold for a cpl seconds. Let idle for 5-10 seconds and repeat the process. Clutch fan will cool the coolant sure, but you still get the air out.
You know what would be a sick addition to these series? Having some of those Meta glasses that can record. I would love to see the POV when looking under the car/inside the engine bay instead of relying on the cameraman to focus on whatever is happening. Just a thought 😅
love the channel .car garage say 33psi and my book say 29psi which is right i got 2013 hilux 17" wheels do not do a lot of motorway dirving i live in the country
Add Volvo to the Christmas tree list, gas cap engine light will also make ABS, and TCS lights come on, but it will say it disabled traction control as well, but it doesn't drive any different, and unscrewing the gas cap and putting it back makes it all go away for an indefinite amount of time.
When ANYONE puts in a NEW K&N air filter, its already set to go with oil impregnation from factory, so, it's already set into filter, if you see excess oil in the plastic bag it comes in, let it sit out in open air for about 20 mins. if you still see excessive oil, then you need to physically dry it off with a rag, but this is a rarity, usually, it is good to go from the package, it's usually when it has been cleaned by owner and reinstalled, they have put to much oil in it and/or not let it sit out in the shade to dry/set properly, usually newbies to the filter system. takes practice like any other automotive service stuff done at home. otherwise you ruin your mass air flow sensor and have to replace that, so, be mindful of any repairs at home you do, any can lead up to bad stuff.
Id love to take the CRX I built when I was 19-25 to Will and ask him to give me a "pre purchase" on it just to hear him roast my work from when I was learning. Actually, Id love to see a "Roast my car" series.
I jus put a kn on my 15 subie and what u said makes hella sense actually as u said yup a kn i was like yo the oil prolly and then u said the oil fucks with it i jua never fogured thwyd bleed that much
There is no problem using a wet type K&N filter, the problem arises when too much oil is applied after cleaning. Unless you know the exact factory oil quantity required to lube up the filter, and unless you posses a machine capable of applying said oil evenly across the entire filter you should NOT be cleaning and re-lubing these filters. Also, these filters are rated for 50k+ miles, no idea why some car owners feel the need to wash and re-lube the filter early on. But yes, if you have no idea about wet filters or how to properly lube them up, you should buy the AEM Dry filters or you WILL ruin your MAF Sessor.
LOL!!! tell us all you know absolutely dick about cars. Try reading K&N's (the manufactures) suggestion sheet, even they state CLEARLY not to use their wet unit on a MAF car, and to use the DRY one they make(AEM made)
Makes me happy you have my level of attention to detail. Watching im like "that, that, that, that" and you bring it all up. I used to have customers that loved me because i was legit, no bullshit. never sold work that didn't need to be done and always found the problem. A LOT of that body stuff makes me think of the "russian special" basically knew this russian dude and ANY time a customer had a matching car to one he owned that he was "restoring" for sale, they would try to seal as many parts as possible. need new suspension? nope, their private sale vehical just got it and they only claim you got yours replaced. it was really scummy. mind you, at MY shop he was the state inspector. so he was fired and lost his inspection license when it all came out. and i only found out through him getting fired. and then he tried to pull the "ya'll behaving like putin cocksuckers" meme which was hilarious. can't stand people like that, who fuck over customers. karma always wins in the end.
@umbre11ac0rp it's a difference of at least $200. I won't pretend I've been a mechanic as long as OP because frankly i dont know that much about him, but I am a damn good mechanic and my bet is OP doesn't like the customer
pretty sure hot wire MAFs suffer from the wet filter thing I have a eclipse that has a MAF but its not a hot wire MAF and i oil it pretty heavy haven't had any issues but if you see cars without hot wire MAFs have this problem nvm
Hot film sensors are less susceptible, but if you keep over-oiling it might have problems later. Depending on the year, it might also be doubled up with a MAP sensor.
Holy Christ! That body shop scam infuriated me and the sad thing is, it happens more often than we know! God bless!
This is why they raised the rate because shops are just milking the dry
So glad this is being brought back! Happy New years fellas
Love the crime investigation on that KIA, with pokemon music in the background

Only Will can be SO detailed about cars @16:11 where he finds something new in the smallest of spaces. That's impressive. Happy New Years!
As a body tech. The kia is the things I hate. Hack jobs. Honestly suspension and the quarter panel pissed me off the most because that's the safety of a customer.
Thank you guys for second season. I missed all the shenanigans in the shop. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Happy new year!! Looking forward to all the shenanigans this coming year

It's called the Anti Steering Law (CA). No one can force you to choose a body shop for whatever reason.
I was JUST watching your last one yesterday like wheres he been? Happy new year boys

Yall are awsome. Love the content
As a body shop guy I don’t recommend most shops too many places cut corners. Just go OEM and save time

Who's the owner of that CHR? It looks sick!!
I have a Question
My son owns a 2004 Subaru outback
What filter should he be using

Og rx7
lol uncle smiths lol
Happy New Year Team!!!
I've literally never had to replace a mass air for filter fluid. You carb clean the sensor and put it back. What the f my dude
Customer could have preferred it over cleaning. Never know what’s behind the scenes or between cuts
@umbre11ac0rp it's a difference of at least $200. I won't pretend I've been a mechanic as long as OP because frankly i dont know that much about him, but I am a damn good mechanic and my bet is OP doesn't like the customer
hi there what is that blue car you are standing next to
I believe it's a Toyota C-Hr with a bodykit
pretty sure hot wire MAFs suffer from the wet filter thing
I have a eclipse that has a MAF but its not a hot wire MAF and i oil it pretty heavy

@SkorpyoTFC 1st and 2nd gen eclipses did not have MAPS
At least the 4g63 ones idk about the others
Happy New Year Y'all
I hate AEM products especially their high flow fuel pump.
34 minutes ago, holy
Wait wait wait…..is it your opinion?
