Yeahhhh! my canon is kassandra in odyssey and in valhalla its the male eivor I love his delivery of the lines especially that part in leaving valhalla.
Still salty about them making female Eivor canon. Not that she's garbage but I feel there's a better experience when playing as male due to Magnus. Plus they marketed male Eivor first so my mind was made up.
Kassandra’s fighting has improved so much since odyssey, she appears so much more disciplined and agile in this fight than the brutal and explosive fighting style, really feels like she’s developed her skills over the centuries
I mean, if you ignore physics and biology without anything to the lore [that I'm aware] suggesting she's magically imbued with strength and mass to take out a man probably twice here size, sure.
Hats off to Kassandra, she Carried the heaviest burden out of every character in every AC games just to keep the peace and waited many years to give the staff to “the heir of memories”.
And their “the heir of memories “ is actually manipulated by certain someone to bring their husband back to life. And then the husband will bring that certain someone back to life.
I can't describe how awesome this fight scene felt, this is a proper way to do a crossover. And the tension between Kassandra and male Eivor was spot on :D Malaka, can't wait to check out Odyssey quest with Eivor!
for those of you who don't know, Kassandra is a canon protagonist in Assassin's Creed Odyessy inspired by Leonidas's real granddaughter. She is the daughter of mathmation Pythagorus and a descendent to the Isu (a race of advanced beings who created humanity as slaves) and a Spartan by blood and technicality, though she doesn't bid by Spartan law as a mercenary. Kassandra is probably responsible for the Templars since she fought the Cult of Kosmos who with one remaining member broke off to make more cults. She was given Hermes's staff by her father which allowed her to age for as long as she kept it on her, which is why she is alive here. In the DLC, Legacy of the Blade, she married a man whose father was an Assassin from Persia. Kassandra had a child named Elpidios. Her Father-In-Law was one of the first to use the Hidden Blade, after her lover died Kassandra realized the Greek world or at least around her wasn't the best idea for her son. So, she had her Father-In-Law to take Elpidios away from the Greek world and to Egypt where Elpidios leads a line of human-isu hybrids who would one day become the Assassin's Creed. It's possible that she is a reoccuring character in the Assassin's Creed Timeline and franchise since her actions started the whole thing
Each individual player should decide which optional protagonist is canon in each respective game. Otherwise there's no point in having two choices. Like, none.
She didn’t started the templars. The Order of Ancient is the origin of the Templars , as you see them rise in the dlc Legacy of the Blade after Kosmos was gone. And when you kill each of them they don’t seem like they worshiped Kosmos. They were proto templars.
Well the spear lost its Isu power after the Isu artifact in Korfu fucked it up, so Kassandra lost the ability use most of her unlocked skills and mastery skills. By extention she lost combat precognition which gave her the edge she always had, the edge Leonidas had too. With a powered Spear of Leonidas, Eivor wouldn't have stood a chance. Just a three-bar Overpower and Eivor was sent flying ragdoll through the sky.
I’ve just finished the whole Kassandra chapter. It was full of excitement. I kinda felt of something like combination of nostalgia and sadness. Great work from Ubisoft for giving us the chance to see both characters meet up in a wonderful way.
I love how clearly you see the difference in experience. Just look at how utterly refined each and every one of Kassandra's movements are. Speed, precision and skill. No single movement made to waste energy, rather conserve it. Eivor shows his Viking fighting style, relying on Strength, momentum and brute force. Wide berth yet perfect combat awareness. I love it. It's such an awesome detail to consider. The spartan who likely has 1000 years of experience vs the Viking with memories of his life as Odin, and experience from that time to boot. (Although he don't seem to be aware of it.) This fight was just two Warriors fighting each other. No stupid " powers " no " HURR DURR DEMI-GOD " bullshit. Just skill.
Not really Eivor due to being a Sage is way faster and stronger than normal Humans or even ISU-Human hybrids such as Kassandra. Dude lifted a giant 3 ton Rock in Siege of Paris
@@aranha6285 We can’t possibly be watching the same fight. Kassandra is clearly faster, more precise, and can match Eivor’s strength with less motion/momentum in her swings/parries. The only way you could see Eivor “dominating” here is if you mistook Kassandra for Eivor.
Male Eivor is the best Eivor. Couldn’t care less what canon says. And honestly, until we move past Valhalla and actually see Eivor in another game, male Eivor is canon to me.
I never understood why the females were canon in the 1st place. In both games, the male versions are all over the cover of the game and the marketing. It makes more sense for them to be canon
I love how Kassandra feels like she's just toying with Eivor and not giving him all she has. I have such high hopes for these expansions can't wait to get my hands on them. Maybe they'll make a crossover with Odyssey and Origins also like who taught Bayek and Aya to fight so well and the signature every assassin possess the leap of faith. Maybe Kassandra was watching the brotherhood from the shadows while she was alive and immortal.
she is stated to have friends with the "Hidden Ones", so it's possible that she knows them from a personal standard. I never actually thought much of what she did between her getting the staff and meeting Layla. I always just pictured it more as her just laying around in Atlantis
@@gamerstheater1187 there's possibility that they make a crossover of orgins and odyssey some years later after the story of Bayek ends. After the Curse of Pharoahs DLC fans wanted to see more of Bayek. Maybe they'll finally listen to us 😁.
@@altantulga8138 you are absolutely wrong about that I'm sure there are women out there who can beat you I know a few woman personally who completely dominate. You are sexist.
People talking about gods/demigods are missing the point of Assassins Creed. Odin isn't an actual god, he's an Isu. Eivor is a reincarnation of Odin, but born in a regular human body so would only have the minimal amount of Isu DNA that any normal human would have. Kassandra is also human, but has a higher level of Isu DNA compared to most. That's why she was able to wield so many isu artifacts and not be affected by them. Eivor can obtain a number of Isu artifacts in-game, but we don't know how many she wielded in canon, so saying she's basically a demigod because she can pick up Mjolnir or Excalibur is a bit redundant.
Yeah, people get all pissed about the gods and mythology when they are forgetting that the whole thing is that the gods are Isu. The series is less about the actual assassins now, and is more focused on the artifacts and ancient civilization.
In Odyssey, if you've played Fate Of Atlantis dlc, even Poseidon confirms that they're not gods, they're called the Isu. They're just technically advanced more than regular humans.
The one thing that we should all admit is scary is Eivior is actually holding his own against someone who was no slouch back when was the same age and has an insane number of years to grow her skills even further. I know Kasandra did a lot of sidestepping, hinting she is possible still holding the edge, but the fact Eivor was still not making it easy shows his own skill.
@beastdynasty6221 Trying or otherwise, Odin would wipe the floor with Kassandra. Enough said. Eivor literally managed to hurt Kassandra with that headbutt. Kassandra is good at disarming, but she didn't land a hit that Eivor could feel.
@@DarkoRavens let’s remember what I said. Kassandra was equal to eivor when she was not trying. If she WAS trying. She would win mid diff. Stop trying to say eivor wins. Please.
@beastdynasty6221 How about no? Eivor's skill tree is bigger than both Kassandra and Bayek combined. Kassandra was put on the defence for a good portion of the encounter. She's supposed to be a Greek Demi-God, and yet she can't handle a bunch of mad Scots chipping away at her. Eivor's just bodying everyone like Viking Wolverine. Don't get me started on the insane Isu weapons that Eivor acquires.
Something I noticed was on Kassandra’s gauntlet it has the same logo as the armor she gets from Atlantic as well as the armor reminiscent of that armor added the animal pelts to match the age. I just find it really cool but I want to know how she came across and got her own hidden blade.
Sure it's cool to see protagonists interacting with eachother but it really rubs me the wrong way with how overly magical the games are these days and how Kassandra is pretty much immortal. What the hell happened to the meaningful moments of people trying to help the world with the time they had and leaving messages for the future.
The games were magical from the start, when they introduced the Pieces of Eden. Since the goal from the first game was to collect the PoE, we know that as the games progress, new pieces were going to be introduced, new magics were going to be introduced, and eventually it would all become a more prominent feature of the game. It's logical progression.
@@DalionHeartTTV They were never magical, the games were always strongly based in history while taking twists with prominent figures and events. The pieces of Eden were databanks, keys, medical tools, weapons and human control devices left behind by the ancient civilization, the Templars sought them to control the people and the thought was truly terrifying but the newer games have been making them more magical and have gone so far back in time that they don't have to be as accurate and can take as many liberties with history as they like.
@@JoCoHo Dude Assassin’s Creed has always been “magical” we’ve seen Isu technology throughout the games, we’ve seen visions and a whole bunch of shit that was deemed “magical” that’s the problem with other OG fans, they forget that Assassin’s Creed was never 100% realistic. I’m one of the few that can understand that the whole “Gods and Monsters” thing is not too far fetched. My only problem with the series now is that it’s becoming more rpg than anything.
That scene the build up the music i found it amazing eivor really wanted to kill and kassandra was toying with him. What makes sense. A demigod and a lot if fighting expierence. You can feel how strong she is when she makes that spear on the spot hold the axe like nothing and kicked eivor way back
So I guess here we see basically the canon skillset and weapons for Eivor, since you fight the cutscene with the same weapons always? He first uses the bone-biter dane axe. Then dual wielding of varins axe and raiders axe. He uses the throwing axes and harpoon ability and he uses the roundshield. I love to play these types of games fully with the canon armor, weapons and skillset to feel completely immersed in the story, so this cutscene has helped me a lot with that! Amazing stuff.
Seeing a lot of comments about how kassandra carries “the heaviest burden” We all just gonna forget Altair, ezio and Desmond like that then ? As well as Bayak and Aya, and Edward come to think of it he got pretty fucked over at the start of the game
just imagine if you just heard the booming voice of Abubakar Salim saying ENOUGH and they both look up to see Bayek on the high ground. i don't give a fuck that it would make no sense timeline wise but let's face it that would be awesome. even tho Kassanda/Alexios is literally 100 times the age of both Bayek and Eivor i still feel that Bayek would easily be the wisest out of all the newer AC protagonists. because unlike Eivor and Kassandra he was an actual character with no RPG bullshit influencing his character.
Bayek is wiser than a character who's lived for over a 1000 years? Nothing about that sounds logical. You literally used ingame mechanics to explain why Bayek is smarter. Lore wise, Kassandra should be wiser. The amount of wars she's been through, people she's met, life experiences for over 1000 years? Hell no
This was such a great fight I played as Kassandra in Odyssey and I wish she would had been a character through out Valhalla and also I wish I got to fight her as a hard boss in the beginning and after defeating her cuts to this cut scene
To be completely honest, this was the only exciting part of the crossover. I assumed we were gonna get some kind of team up boss battle against a Norse/Greek monster or something. To make it more like an actual event instead of a short fan fic. 80% of it they spent arguing, they fought a group of enemies like twice, Eivor had to solve a puzzle and collect shards, they party, and that's it. Like imagine a cool team up battle against a powerful Isu who wants Kassandra dead and Eivor helps her new friend. Honestly wasted potential
Unity had only problems with the story I feel. And not even major issues it's just not as exciting as some of the other entries before it. Gameplay wise unity fucks
@@ross8093 I actually really like unity, I'm replaying it now. Despite being a history buff and into the series, even I can't remember who the bureau members are at any time, fat guys with wigs and the guy who wrote the musketeers, or his son, idk.

Sorry to dissapoint the idea, Altair is the GOAT among the assassins through out the history to me, but his winning chance against her would be narrow. Kassandra was an isu hybrid, meaning she's considerably physically stronger, faster and more durable than ordinary humans, including her eagle sense. She's the strongest among all the assassin protagonists. Even during her 20's she defeated several Isu-Made beasts through the Greek world. Being an isu hybrid made her immune to the side effects of pieces of Eden, as she was able to easily subdue Olympos project artifacts, which means Altair's greatest weapon, an apple of Eden, would be useless against her. And with the power of SoH, she didn't age a single day, she'd be about 1600-1700 yo. by then if they crossed path. Her combat experience would exceed every assassin protagonist in the series combined, besides she mastered the full control over Spear of Leonidas and Staff of Hermes, two powerful Isu weapons. Defeating Eivor, Altair may still stand some chance. But not her. She basically was too OP to be considered in the same league as the rest were.
Yes. It kind of solved the issue for me that we got two games in a row without playing as an assassin. When Eivor and Kassandra both said they are alligned with the goals of the Hidden Ones that solved the issue for me partially. But I still do not understand after you have such a good storyline why did they not just let Eivor become an assassin in a similar fashion as Edward Kenway? Like why? It is an assassins creed game. You learn from hidden ones in the game and their wisdom, tenets, creed, and then when asked to become one Eivor basically says "nah not for me". That feels like the developers trolling the fanbase lol.
Still don't know why Kassandra is Canon. Literally all the marketing and box art is Alexios. Would have been nice if we could have chosen who it would be here since I like Alexios' voice actor more, but oh well.

Such an amazing fight till you realize just how much Kassandra held back on Eivor. Kassandra practically made her look like a novice. That and Kassandra wasn’t using all of her strength or speed at all. Makes you forget she has super human physical abilities
The Viking hero and the Traveller of Tragedy. Arriving at the scene described by the Seeress of Ravens, the heroic Norseman Eivor walks through the fog without a hint of trepidation. For he knew this was not a personal quest. Randvi would never endanger the clan and, therefore, would not be necessary for sacrifice to protect the clan. Spotting a figure, vaguely obscured in mist. The Viking rounds to get a better vantage. An unmistakable braid, yet not beloved Randvi. A woman of Southern European song declares her name: Kassandra. The figure readies for a fight with Eivor, armed with a mutual battle axe. Both are ready for a scrap. Kassandra has fought far too long, while Eivor never stopped fighting. The charge. Blows are traded and deflected. Eivor exerts raw power and strength, befitting that of a battle-hardened Norse. Unrelenting force as by the laws of Odin himself. Kassandra displays a focused and guided dance, similar to a play of theatre. A certain homage to her Classical Greek theatre. Their weapons clash and break, leaving both in a state of question and awe. Eivor simply finds joy and pleasure in a difficult fight. Appreciative that after so many battles, one may finally keep him on his feet. Kassandra is more thoughtful and studies her destroyed weapon. She wonders what kind of person could have disarmed her after many years of travel and experience. Has she finally met her match? The idea crossed her mind as she put herself back in the fight. Blades and Axes clash. After a tight spot, Kassandra is hit with a realisation and a rough Vikingr Salute, which compelled her to consider that there could be more to her hardened Norse opponent than she could have anticipated at first. And no longer holds herself back. A flurry of Axes from Eivor forces Kassandra to manoeuvre herself before they face off for the third stage of the confrontation. Kassandra's Spartan kick just barely gives her distance or space to breathe before Eivor yanks a raider's shield to deflect Kassandra's swift blow. Eivor puts Kassandra on the defensive, forcing her back with hard and fast strikes. Seeing no other option, Kassandra disarms herself and Eivor in turn, throwing the shield aside with her own personal tools. Eivor moves in for the kill, the blade barely inches from Kassandra's throat before he is halted by Kassandra's own, which is stopped by Eivor in turn. Both take a moment to observe before the idea for discussion is brought forth. End of the confrontation.

Its cool that theoretically (I don’t know if it is) this could be made canon since kassandra was alive in the modern age roughly 2000 years after her time so she definitely would be now about 1000 years from her time
But the protagonists themselves aren't associated with the Assassins, and personally the modern AC games feel too bloated. If the games struck any chord with me, i'd play for longer than 2 hours, but they don't, and AC never will captivate me like the series did in its previous gameplay formula. Even the historical aspect of the games is ruined by all these mythological and crazy shenanigans. AC always had some fantasy to it, but it was hidden or only involved in the modern day sections. Now I can't go 5 feet in Valhalla without getting literally cursed by voodoo magic or going to actual fucking Asgard. Seriously, what the fuck? How does that even fit into the lore? It makes no sense and ruins the point of a historical setting.
And Eivor is the reincarnation of the chief Norse God, Odin. Honestly, Eivor is the next best person to go toe to toe with Kassandra, because he/she already has a good chance of taking Kass down. Everyone else like Ezio or Arno just wouldn't make it five seconds.

Fun fact, you can actually discover the spear by raiding a bandit camp in the map. You can't, however, give it to Kassandra
(Although he don't seem to be aware of it.)

They are forgetting assassin’s creed is fantasy sci-fi
Yeah, people get all pissed about the gods and mythology when they are forgetting that the whole thing is that the gods are Isu.
The series is less about the actual assassins now, and is more focused on the artifacts and ancient civilization.
In Odyssey, if you've played Fate Of Atlantis dlc, even Poseidon confirms that they're not gods, they're called the Isu. They're just technically advanced more than regular humans.
@@kaijin713 but Desmond needs to return still.
its interesting assassins creed went from a sci-fi time traveling game with an ancient civilization to magic, monsters and gods.
Odin is distinctly a God of battle and wisdom. So if anyone can match Kassandra in a fight, it's Eivor.
@@DarkoRavensit’s also fair to consider that kassandra was definitely not trying
@beastdynasty6221 Trying or otherwise, Odin would wipe the floor with Kassandra. Enough said.

Lol Hardly.

I'd love to see an all out fight...even tho kassandra would most likely win
Eivor at full on God mode would wreck Kassandra in an actual fight. The Valhalla story isn't complete and the character of Eivor is still growing....

Kassandra was holding back, she and her brother Alexios are the strongest AC protagonists because of their isu bloodline, they are almost demigods
And Eivor is the reincarnation of the chief Norse God, Odin. Honestly, Eivor is the next best person to go toe to toe with Kassandra, because he/she already has a good chance of taking Kass down. Everyone else like Ezio or Arno just wouldn't make it five seconds.
@@DarkoRavens I agree. I do think that Eivor and kassandra could take on all the other protagonists without struggling
@@DarkoRavens eivor has just 5/6% of ISU DNA cuz he's a sage. He is in a human body and besides at this time he has already rejected his odin personality. He is not a demigod or something
@@DarkoRavens sorry, she. Female eivor is the historical one
@@alby8357 Well "rejection depends on where you're at in the story, so that hardly applies.
Me and my friend just did a 20 minute discussion about how bad the fight choreography was. Ik kassandra is immortal and live along time but the amount of times she let's eivor get away when his back is turned infuriated the hell outta me.
you missed the point. shes toying with him
That's by design dude... The whole theme of the fight is Eivor starting it and then being the one to push it forwards, with Kassandra not trying to kill him. Hardly bad fight choreography.
god I love kassandra so much
People saying that kassandra hold back with eivor🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
If only they knew.....
Would be cool they do a dlc in all the games with this cross over with kassandra as she lives of 1000 years
Loved this, even if it was pretty short. But just free so im okay with it. This is also the first time since Rouge we had any crossover with a character outside their own game, and first time since revelation with a main character.
Man, now I wish they would have fought Kassandra wielding The spear of Leonidas and Eivor wielding Mjölnir
They tried to pull some Ezio and Altaïr level cross over, but because these characters are so weakly written it just comes off like them boosting their own ego’s. Theres no build up, so why should they get a big pay off to two characters that only have 1 game, and both their games are widely considered to be either the worst or near the worst in the series. Just shows that new Ubisoft loves to stroke themselves off without putting in any work. Absolutely terrible scene.
I wonder if a Kassandra vs Bayek fight will happen? I really miss Bayek bro
It would be cool since he used to be married to her great great granddaughter
As someone who played as Alexios, this is a poop crossover.
That's why I always play as the canonical character :D
@@attilafekete7892Alexio players are cool. kassandra players are noob.
@@bankroll4416 Lol. Btw I wasn't just referring to AC, but all games overall.
@@attilafekete7892 I feel that. I normally go guy bc am guy. Guy with sword I like.

I should really get back into odyssey and valhalla, i enjoyed them, its just theres so much to do with me having very little time to finish tbe game all the way through
And they're both still shit AC games
0 askers
wait, what if I didn't play Kassandra in the Odyssey?
Kassandra must be drinking the same juice as Abby lol
is the juice called dedication and workouts?
