This reminds me of that one Spider-Man comic when Peter was literally getting his shit rocked and for a moment he thought if he could just give up and go home, but with responsibility that big, you can’t stop.

This is the movie that made me realize that no matter how extraordinary a person is, they are still human. They can get bored, they can feel sad, lonely, etc. And it goes the same with superhero, "with great power comes great responsibility" but you never choose to be a part of that responsibility, Spider-Man choose to be a hero is because he had the choice and he made a decision, MetroMan here is just a man who had dreams but could not follow it because of his responsibility.
I mean, think about it there literally is no responsibility here megamind is doing this for fun, the moment metroman stops, megamind doesnt commit terrorism, he steals a few items and gets bored
Love the dynamic duo, cuz they’re polar opposites. Merman is more matured thinking while Megamind is always childish. & Metro man felt stuck after that realization of the repeating cycle, while Megamind was in love with the thought hence why he created another metro man & even gave a speech about how Titan was supposed to take him to jail so he can escape again. This was a very interesting & contradicting movie with well written contradicting characters, solid 10.
One was nurtured and given the possibility to seek something greater. The other handed a set of circumstances and told that's all he'd ever achieve. This is why Metroman is initially deep in his emotions and desires, while Mega Mind was very one dimensional and shallow with his emotional depth.
