I was one of the "idiots" that did the windmill. It was for the sake of being edgy and in reference to the old "pool's closed meme" IIRC, and it was technically after the con had officially ended as well. In our collective defense, it was three hispanic guys, an asian, and a literal jewish guy who took part in it, so it's not like anyone can say it was genuine antisemitism, and we wouldn't have done it during the actual event, or at least I wouldn't have. On behalf of those involved, I do apologize, but only to you, the staff, and those who were at the con, not anyone else online. I don't really care about the opinions of the terminally online twitter types whom can never be appeased.
Un-ironically going to this con has change me, talking to people whom for past several years I had only know as a "that voice/text chat on the screen" and recognizing them (and even crazier, BEING recognized by other people) has messed up my mind in a positive way. I will be 110% returning to it next year, and my only grief would e the fact that there isn't going to be an Euro Mare Fair since the number of brony 4channers is pretty low here back in the old continent.
Also seeing the irl Moonman was pretty based, gonna take my Ary for the McDonald pilgrimage next time.

It was my first pony con and I loved it. There were plenty of times where I was waiting for a punchline -only for it to never come, but I still enjoyed myself and had a great time meeting new people. I only ever knew the show prior, gone on eqd and fimfic; So there's a TON of stuff that flew over my head. Nevertheless, ppl showed me kindness and were generous and brought me into their fold when I put myself out there. If I ever go to another con it'll be Mare Fair.
This is a great rundown of the convention. Also happy to see my photos went on to be used and further seen. Reminds me that doing photography isn't just for myself but to document things for others as well. Looking forward to Mare Fair 2.

It's crazy to me how people still demonize 4chan and it's users just because "they say words that hurt my feefees" lmao. Especially since I'm certain they haven't actually been on 4chan. There's no "harm" being done. Seemed like a fun based con to me. I'm not even a big MLP fan and I'd go just to be around people I can actually talk to without getting offended at something stupid.

Looking forward to Mare Fair this year even though it won't be at the same location as last year. The Marriott hotel looks nice though.
I'm only peeved I couldn't go because my budget didn't allow it.
This is only made worse because of the massive inflation that proved that while it was a smart choice when made, it was made a bad choice in hindsight.
I will not fail next year.

I didn't go to Mare Fair 2023 but it looked like a lot of fun. After talking with people who went at Harmony Con 2024, now I am going to attend Mare Fair 2.

Nice video on this Epic con Mitty. Only Regret I have is not attending your panel, but still had a blast nonetheless! Glad you had a blast as well, people (especially on Twitter) tend to hype up the negative side of everything, and honestly, them saying everything at Mare Fair was bad, is generalizing, which is just as bad if not worse than what they're accusing Mare Fair of. Let's keep it real, Mare Fair was amazing and we're going to have another one!
Marefair was absolutely magical. I'm happy I went, I'm happy I had a panel, I'm happy I spent over $800 on mare merch without an ounce of hesitation. In no way has any other convention I've gone to match the quality.

It's so weird how stereotypically nerdy looking everyone looks. Like why tho lmao. I've been to a couple furry cons years ago cause my friend's sister was into it and he wanted me to go. Honestly a pretty good time despite some insane cringe going on lmfao.
