- The Williamsburg Bridge is one of three suspension bridges crossing the lower East River within a mile of each other. It has always been overshadowed by its more famous and attractive neighbors, but also was the world's longest suspension bridge for over 20 years. The bridge has been in service since 1903.

I like how the middle lane can be used for I 278 or the bridge. Thats good traffic engineering
@PeaceLuvVeggies this bridge crosses the east river between manhattan and northern brooklyn so this bridge doesn't come close to coney island...
i took a J train over the Williamsburg bridge from Marcy avenue to Essex street
I call the WilB, "The Bridge that MTA took over"...
...The traffic on there is absolutely atrocious too... I always just go on the Manhattan or Brooklyn bridge coming in from Queens after driving my girlfriend home
That bridge needs a serious makeover.
I prefer the outer roadway
@A08041988 and that white truck needs to choose a lane :P
Williamsburg bridge needs to be repaved
Oh God the Williamsburg bridge desperately needs to be repaved.
