- In this video I install a double din stereo that is touch screen and supports Carplay and Android Auto. In my opinion its a must over the systems that has to be cut into your dashboard. Links below on where to get tools and equipment used. Comment with any questions and I will get back to you.

Great video, anyone have a suggestion on speakers and underseat subs for the 135i to go with this head unit?
I think bavsound makes upgrades to me the oem sounds great for my sound levels
Do you deserved way more subscribers and views ….
Thank you appreciate the kind words
i know this video is old but by chance do you know where to get another kit from? i can’t seem to find a double din kit elsewhere online and the link in bio doesn’t work anymore
Try your local auto stereo shop they have them
do you have a source for the bmw headunit wire diagram? i have an 08 e82
No I do not you do not need it for this setup
I just got a kit from spiral audio but they didn’t send me a longer flat cable do you know where can I get one ?
No, the kit I used supplied it, return it and buy the kit I used is what I would do…
Hi, I had a head unit professionally installed and the installer can’t get the thing to sit flush. Do you need to cut out the rear black piece? Is that what made it sit flush at the top? Mine seems to fit fine toward the bottom. It’s driving me crazy.
Yes you need to customize it a bit but can’t remember exactly what I did and car was sold sorry
Great job!!! where did you get the fascia frame? Regards
I think I put some links if not try your local car audio store for a quality one or check for a metra brand, the rest are junk
Hiya, would you please be able to provide more info on the wiring kit please?
The link isn't working anymore :(
Thank you!
I only know what I posted it would be best to talk to your local car stereo shop that’s what I did as the ones you get off eBay and Amazon are trash and can cause fires
What's with the power wire from the trunk.? Is that to power your interface.? Why couldn't you jumper off the constant 12+ running to the stereo.?
Because it’s a must go to battery wire, clearly says it in the directions and on my new 135i I had a professional install and they did same thing
@@BOO5Tchannel usually anytime there is that much wire and a fusible link. It goes straight to the battery. I've never ran a power wire for an interface before. First time for everything!
Do you have a part number for the Metra kit?
No, these are hard to find try your local car audio store
The Metra kit isn't available anymore
I’m sure others are
You do radios too?
I do it all lol
Can you share the product link please?
Most of those are not available you can get the harness at any local car stereo place and the head unit can be whatever you want
anyone know if this head unit will work w the convertible 135i
It does
Anybody know if this will work for a 2008 128i?
It should
@@BOO5Tchannel Great! What about those higher dash mounted 10" screens? Think there is any issue with any of the 1 series BMWs? It is tough to find a lot of information for the 128i specifically.
@@andrewrp5828 those screens require dash cutting which I would not do
Anyone know why the previous owner of my car installed a headunit like this but kept the original headunit in the boot. It still turns on and everything but never tested if its connected to rhe speakers
No clue
