The fact that you completely tear things like this down to clean them and regrease them and then reassemble them correctly blows me away. Just incredible work!
Thank you very much for showing the mistake, and how you fixed it. It is very important to show that sometimes things go wrong, and you can go back and correct them.
Brilliant tool. My EZ7410 is now over 20 years old and still works like new. It has a yellow body, as was the color of Panasonic cordless tools were back then. Thanks for posting this restoration.
This fellow is amazing, does really good work. Its beyond my capability. If I had seen things like this earlier, I would have tried to fix ny Dad’s old 1950’s reciprocating saw. Had bad brushes (didn’t know that at the time 20 years ago), so I threw it out & bought a new one.
That's incredibly ironic that this video came out right before I had to repair my hitachi db3dl that have almost same case and I thought that it will be good to turn something on RUclips for background noise, but instead this video actually helped me not to break my screwdriver.
It's the same company, but they had to change the name to "Panasonic" in North America because the name "National" was already registered as a brand. Here in Scandinavia they were branded "National-Panasonic" for many years, until they decided to skip "National" and only keep "Panasonic" due to greater worldwide recognition of the "Panasonic" brand.
Iguess your super well talanetd and really clever, great stuff but you surly must still take photo's of each step when removing each parts ? I wwould forget where anything goes otherwise
Great Video master like all other videos. What is this motor's current value "not need buy a new motor" at 3,7 volt ? 1 Ampere ?(I mean at 08:44 test) Second question :Have any polishing material for plastic covers polishing "like new"? Could you advise a product names ,method or a product link for this ?
> It looks exactly like the Panasonic You are right. "National" used to be a bland name of Matsushita Electric Industry. The company name and the bland were changed to "Panasonic" in 2008.
There's just something so ironic about having to use a screwdriver to open your screwdriver. Like having to cut open the clamshell wrap to open a pair of scissors.
Sir can we use adjustable speed switch in single speed Hitachi VTP -18 impact hammer drill?? Just single to variable speed only By changing switch is it possible

I don't think even the brand's own technician would be able to disassemble and reassemble without the manual 👏👏👏
Thank you for this comment.

National is like the predecessor of Panasonic, if memory serves me right...

Good job thanks
National company's all item r very good
I like it
All products are very good
How price thik product
Ok, the two-wire thingy going into the handle was the light. That's clear.
But what is the three-wire sensor (or whatever it is) in the front for?
It seems to be a speed encoder sensor. Maybe it's part of a safety system in case of a output shaft stall.
It detects when the torque clutch slips and stops the motor, so you don't hear the annoying "tatatatata"
Nice video, thanks :)
