Thanks, Andy. I have a piece of glass that I have used for years with my oil paints. I’m now working with Folk Arts Enamel paints so I was looking for something else besides the foam plates. Good information that helped me make a decision.

Andy...What do you think of the wet palates? Where will I find the disposable palate you use? I didn't see a link. Thanks.

Looks like amazon has a few sources:
Jack Richeson Grey Matters Paper Palette (50 Sheets), 9" x 12" Paper for Paint Mixing
SoHo Urban Artist Paint Paper Palette Pad Specially Coated Heavy Duty Grey Toned Disposable Palette Paper [40 Sheets]- Size 9x12"
Check out Dick Blicks and Jerry Artarama too.

That's an excellent question. The Masterson Sta-Wet Palette is made for keeping acrylic paint workable for extended periods of time.
The palette consists of a plastic "holder" a thin sponge, and specially manufactured paper.
You wet or soak the paper to get it ready. You wet the sponge and then put the soaked paper onto the sponge. The paper will allow moisture to penetrate but keeps the acrylic paint on top.
It is a terrific tool to have available to use. I would suggest you try it and see if it works for you. I know the Sta-Wet Palette works as intended. You have to try it out to see if it works for you!
The grey disposable palettes can be found at your local art supply store or online.
