If you didn't catch it early then you are also NOT a Horror Movie Fan!!! Sean Chandler is NOT a Horror Movie Fan!!! When you disclose that 1/2 of your 31 on 31 Horror Movie Reviews are "First Time Watches" for you (and many of them have been around for DECADES) then you have told me that you are a Used Car Sales Man acting as a Financial Advisor! see: Cody Leach Reviews for TRUE Input on Authenticity of "Horror Movies"!!! Jus Say'n.
At this point, Chandler has to be trolling us. The dude shows clips of Abe Lincoln Vampire Hunters during his Spielberg ranking and here he shows Spielberg Lincoln clips during ALVH. 😅 Funny stuff, man.

I love how in the Spielberg ranking I was confused why Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter's clips are mixed in with the Lincoln clips. And here, I'm confused why I saw Daniel Day Lewis' face the moment he showed ALVP.
Out of these my personal favourites are What we do in the shadows and An American werewolf in London, probably because I prefer horror comedies but they is still a good variety on this list.
rotten tomatoes ranking: 31. An American Werewolf in Paris (7%) 30. Van Helsing (24%) 29. Blade: Trinity (24%) 28. Underworld (31%) 27. Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter (33%) 26. I'm happy that you were able to rank this many movies, Sean. Especially since most of these, as you said yourself, were 1st viewings for you since you had never seen most of these before.
Van Helsing is my favorite movie of all time. I was so heated when you put it at 30 omg! Then to top that off you put silver bullet low. I’m crying! But I still love ya!
As a point of reference, I watched/rewatched and took notes on all 31 of these movies over the last two months. These are my updated thoughts on all 31 of these films 31. An American Werewolf in Paris-An incredibly lame and tedious version of this story that doesn’t have any redeeming qualities in my eyes 30. Van Helsing-As much as I love Hugh Jackman, this is a hollow, overblown, noisy film that doesn’t seem to have any idea of what makes a good monster movie 29. Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter- Even though this movie certainly looks interesting, the movie never knows what it’s trying to do with its characters, ideas, and concept As another point of reference, I like and/or would go positive on the rest of these movies 28. Blade: Trinity-This isn’t a good movie by any stretch of the imagination, but I still have a pretty decent time with the surface value entertainment that this movie delivers 27. Twilight-Listen, I’ve never been the target audience for this movie, it’s not a movie that I ever gravitate to rewatch, and it has problems, but for what it’s trying to do, I think it does it fairly well 26. Interview with the Vampire-While this is a movie that I enjoy well enough for its atmosphere and thrills, it’s also a movie that’s a bit too operatic for my personal taste 25. Brotherhood of the Wolf-It was definitely a movie that I respected more than I fully enjoyed it, but I still found this one interesting for all of the elements and genres that it blended into this film 24. Stake Land-This is the movie where I started to get a bit burnt out on watching all of these vampire and werewolf films, but I still thought that this was a pretty impressive film for what it was, especially because it had a budget of $625,000 23. Underworld-Even though the already not great reputation of this movie was hurt by a bunch of the sequels, I’ve always liked this movie for its style, cast, and well done action from director Len Wiseman 22. Renfield-While I didn’t enjoy this movie as much as I hoped I would, I definitely enjoyed this movie for its gore, its exploration on codependence, and of course, Nicolas Cage as Dracula 21. Bram Stoker’s Dracula-I didn’t think that all of the philosophy, horror, adventure, romance, and operatic elements were fully blended as well as they could’ve been, but it was always engaging and I really enjoyed most of the performances 20. Ginger Snaps-This isn’t really one that I would gravitate towards to rewatch, but it worked quite well for the coming of age werewolf story that it was trying to be 19. Thirst-Because I didn’t really know what this movie was, I was pretty surprised by how relentlessly bleak and disturbing this movie was, but it was still intriguing and well done 18. John Carpenter’s Vampires-It’s definitely superficial entertainment, but I’ve always had a good time watching James Woods hunt down vampires 17. Silver Bullet-I wouldn’t say that this movie ages as well as a lot of the older movies on this list, but because there are a lot of very bad Stephen King adaptations, I thought this movie worked pretty well for what it was 16. 30 Days of Night-A solid combination of a serious tone with gore and atmosphere that makes for an effective horror film 15. Fright Night Part 2-This was a first time watch for me and I thought that while this movie didn’t fully capture the charm of the original, it was a solid sequel that stood on its own two feet 14. Daybreakers-A very good vampire movie that has enough of a difference from other vampire films to be a satisfying experience for horror and vampire fans 13. What We Do in the Shadows-I had never seen this movie before a week ago, but I quite enjoyed this movie for its satirical and subversive spin on vampires that respects what it’s poking fun at, unlike some other Taika Waititi projects 12. The Howling-I don’t put this movie on as high of a shelf as a lot of horror fans, but it’s still a solid film that has a great werewolf transformation sequence and a plot that’s executed quite well 11. Let the Right One In-A very thematically rich horror film that has a lot of interesting themes of parenthood, identity, loneliness, and attachment, which makes for a solid movie that has a lot to say 10. Dog Soldiers-Much like a bunch of other movies on this list, this movie isn’t a perfectly crafted movie, but it provides plenty of action and horror that makes for a movie that’s definitely worth watching for genre fans 9. Fright Night 2011-It’s nowhere near as classic as the original, but it has its own unique style, a well written script, and very good performances from David Tennant and especially Colin Farrell 8. Teen Wolf-This is pretty much 100% nostalgia, but I’ve always really enjoyed this movie, even though it’s a generic coming of age story where the main character just happens to be a werewolf 7. Near Dark-A rock solid vampire movie that takes vampires, western elements, and an Americana setting and mixes those in a very consistent horror film from Kathryn Bigelow 6. From Dusk Till Dawn-I’ve always enjoyed the first half of this movie more than the second half, but the entire movie is still a highly enjoyable blend of crime drama and vampires that has Robert Rodriguez’s style and Quentin Tarantino’s dialogue 5. An American Werewolf in London-When you put it all together, the werewolf transformation sequence is iconic, the movie is incredibly bleak, there are moments that are quite funny, and the tone is something different entirely, so this is a great horror movie that has a lot to offer 4. Blade II-It’s nowhere near as massive in scale as the vast majority of comic book movies over the last fifteen years, but that doesn’t change the fact that this is great sequel that builds and expands upon the original in a great way 3. Fright Night-A great blend of 80’s horror, 30’s & 40’s horror, and humor that works because it knows that it’s concept is silly, so it leans into that while not treating itself like it’s a joke 2. Blade-Who knows if Blade’ll ever show up in the MCU, but what I know is that I’ll always be able to watch this awesome movie whether or not we ever see this character and world ever again 1. The Lost Boys-A fantastic mix of teenage vampires, horror, humor, and plenty of visual style, which makes for a movie that’s so distinct in 80’s excess that it’s definitely my favorite out of these 31 movies
Man, you guys are all over the place on these movies and that's great! It just shows art is subjective and different people see different films differently (pardon the redundancy 😅) I like seeing these different takes on movies even the ones I radically disagree with. Keep up the good work.
I love how Supernatural used the used the romanticized vampires from Twilight, to trick teenage girls in thinking it's romantic, then getting eaten by the vampires because they're monsters who eat people
Loved your ranking ❤ I watched all the 31 movies for this 31 on 31. Had a blast going through them all, found several great first time watches. I will definitely rewatch Blade trinity 😁 Blade trinity is a bad movie, but it is a ton fun. Even though I only watched it recently for this list, I still feel like it was fun watch for me. Agreed with that being a gulity pleasure watch.
I was lucky enough to experience From Dusk til Dawn with no prior knowledge. For two acts I am totally into it - kind of a Tarantino script on a wild ride/road movie with my favorite George Clooney stuff ever. And then. . .wow. Ridiculous but so fun because of the HUGE turn - like the original narrative fell down a trapdoor into Hell.
I have been looking forward to your list the most because of what you generally cover on your channel and.... you didn't disappoint at all, great list. Blade trinity also happens to be in my top 3 favorite bad films of all time as well.

Been waiting Sean! Loved the vid and the roaster! Thank you! I have to say that I really like most of the outings here and already seen 28 out of 31 before watching the other 3 in preparation to this awesome tradition you guys brought to us. So thank you! here is my short ranking and I’ll leave a more elaborated list in my first comment . Let’s start with the few I hate: 31. Twilight. 30. What We Do In The Shadows. Now for the ones I don’t like. 29. Teen Wolf. 28. Ginger Snaps. From here on, everything here is decent to me(some for guilty pleasure of course). Now for less better ones that I still enjoyed. 27. 30 days Of Night. 26. Daybreakers. 25. Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. 24. Stake land. Now for the ones I like(the fact that we still got so many to go shows how awesome this 31 on 31 is!!): 23. American Wolf In Paris. 22. Bram Stoker’s Dracula. 21. Thirst. 20. Blade Trinity. 19. Let The Right One In. 18. American Wolf In London. 17. The Howling. Now for the ones I really like(which again, is just crazy considering how many more I have left!). 16. Fright Night(Remake). 15. Underworld. 14. Dog Soldiers. 13. Brotherhood Of The Wolf. Now for the ones I really really really like 12. Blade 2. 11. Van Helsing. 10. Fright Night 2. 9. From Dusk Till Dawn. 8. Renfield. From here on out all the movies are in my top 50 horror movies of all time. 7. Silver Bullet. 6. Near Dark. 5. John Carpenter’s Vampires. 4. Interview With The Vampire. 3. Blade. Now for the two movies from this roaster that I’m in love with: 2. Fright Night. I love this movie! It’s in my top 30 favourite movies and my fifth favourite horror movie overall! Jerry Dandrige is the best vampire characters and I really like the other characters as well. 1. The Lost Boys. It’s my favourite horror movie and my seventh favourite movie of all times! I love all the characters! The two Corey’s are the standouts here!
Here I’ll be giving more reasons to why I ranked the movies as I did. Let’s start with the few I hate: 31. Twilight. I just hate what it did to genre. Don’t care for the plot or characters. 1.3/10 for me. 30. What We Do In The Shadows. I like the idea but really don’t like the execution. I tried to give it a chance but it didn’t work out so… 1.6/10 for me! Now for the ones I don’t like. 29. Teen Wolf. Never liked the tone or the production. 2.5/10 for me. 28. Ginger Snaps. I thought I’ll like it more, but it just isn’t for me. But I can at least see the appeal.3.2/10 for me. From here on, everything here is decent to me(some for guilty pleasure of course). Now for less better ones that I still enjoyed. 27. 30 days Of Night. I like almost everything here, except the look of the vampires, which is my least favourite maybe ever! 5.1/10 for me. 26. Daybreakers. So cheesy, but I still like it! 5.2/10 for me. 25. Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. This movie is ridiculous, but I still like it. I didn’t liked Abe or the main Villain Adam but I think the rest of the characters are actually really good. 5.9/10 for me. 24. Stake land. This was one of three movies I’ve watched in preparation for this 31 on 31. I kinda liked it but I wish the production value was just a bit higher. 5.9/10 for me. Now for the ones I like(the fact that we still got so many to go shows how awesome this 31 on 31 is!!): 23. American Wolf In Paris. I have nostalgic memories of the first time I saw it, but upon recent rewatch I realised I just don’t like it as much as I used to. 6.1/10 for me. 22. Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Out of all the movies here, this is the one the last rewatch has hurt the most. It’s way less interesting than I remembered. Dracula himself is great and Keanu’s ascent is comedy gold. 6.4/10 for me. 21. Thirst. Really nice filmography there. I really liked most of it. 6.7/10 for me. 20. Blade Trinity. I know some people hate it but it still really good compared to most modern comic book films. I also like the Deadpool prototype we get from Ryan Reynolds here. 6.7/10 for me. 19. Let The Right One In. I like this movie but the language in this one made it rough for me as a non Swedish speaker. 6.7/10 for me. 18. American Wolf In London. This movie is still great for me, but it hasn’t aged as well as some of the other films here, at least for me. 6.9/10 for me. 17. The Howling. I like this movie. Very classic. Tough I don’t really like to rewatch it for some reason… still, great werewolf movie in my eyes! 6.9/10 for me. Now for the ones I really like(which again, is just crazy considering how many more I have left!). 16.Fright Night(Remake). I really liked the first two acts but the last one not as much and Billy Cole was sorely missed… 7.4/10. 15. Underworld. I always really liked it! Way better than the sequels and it got Some style. But I never truly loved it like some people do. 7.6/10. 14. Dog Soldiers. This was one of three movies I’ve watched in preparation for this 31 on 31 and I really liked it! It’s awesome! One of the most underrated in this list. 7.7/10 for me. 13. Brotherhood Of The Wolf. I always really liked this movie. The period, the style, the actors and tone are all great here! I know it’s not a traditional werewolf movie, but I don’t care! 7.8/10 for me. Now for the ones I really really really like 12. Blade 2. I used to really love that movie, but the effects and plot didn’t aged as good as the first one. I still think it’s an awesome movie! I also don’t like how they brought Whistler back just because… 8.2/10 for me. 11. Van Helsing. I like everything about this movie, specially the cheesy parts. It’s very fun to watch and I love the action. I also find it hilarious how slick is that werewolf hair. 8.3/10 for me. 10. Fright Night 2. I saw that sequel three years ago and really wished I’ve seen it sooner. Really liked it. Very cool! It’s a 8.3/10 for me. 9. From Dusk Till Dawn. I really liked the beginning and side characters but don’t really like the ending. But it’s the one time I really liked George Clooney in anything… It’s a 8.4/10 for me. 8. Renfield. This was one of three movies I’ve watched in preparation for this 31 on 31 and I was shocked on how much I like it. I loved both Nicks in this one, but I wish the ending was less cheesy. Still a great movie for me. Still, my favourite movie of the year so far… 8.8/10 for me! From here on out all the movies are in my top 50 horror movies of all time: 7. Silver Bullet. RIP dear Corey Haim! I really loved this movie ever since I was a kid and it’s my favourite Werewolf movie. 9.1/10 for me. 6. Near Dark. I always loved the tone of this movie. Great characters. 9.1/10 for me. 5. John Carpenter’s Vampires. To me This is the most badass Vampire movie ever. The tone is really unique. I love James woods in it and love the Neo western vibes! 9.3/10 for me. 4. Interview With The Vampire. I love that classic take on Vampires! I love the periodic feel to the movie! Tom Cruise is so amazing here! Also, Christian Slater, Antonio Banderas and Kirsten Dunst. 9.4/10 for me. 3. Blade. It’s my sixth favourite comic book movie of all time! Love the action, Blade himself and Deacon Frost are the best! whistler is great! It’s A 9.7/10 for me! Now for the two movies from this roaster that I’m in love with: 2. Fright Night. I love this movie! It’s in my top 30 favourite movies and my fifth favourite horror movie overall! Jerry Dandrige is the best vampire character and I also really like Peter Vincent, Charlie Brewster, Evil Ed, Amy and Billy Cole. The effect are so awesome and I love the 30’ meets 80’s vibe here! 10/10 for me! 1. The Lost Boys. It’s my favourite horror movie and my seventh favourite movie of all times! I love all the characters! The two Corey’s are the standouts here but also David, Max, Grandpa and Michael are very memorable to me. I love the tone and unique style of the movie. 10/10 for me!
I came over to see your list because I love Cody Leach. I appreciate your opinion but you missed out on the old school films. They are life. You hit Twilight right on the head👏👏👏👏
While I highly disagree with most of this ranking, it's interesting to see something different than the usual. But also, it seems very odd to have a ranking of vampire and werewolf movies and not featuring the Universal Dracula and Wolfman films but considering the vibe the films on this list, I kind of understand too.
I’m going to be honest and say that I’ve only seen one movie in this ranking and that movie is Blade. Hoping to get some more recommendations out of your video!
I loved hearing your commentary on Twilight, and I totally agree. I was 13 when I read the books and the first movie came out, so right in the generation you were referring to. I /was/ the target demo at that time. That said, I know exactly what they are and get lots of guilty pleasure out of them (the MOVIES, the books are actually much better), so it’s nice to hear someone else who actually understands that.
Here’s my ranking of all the movies I saw: 23. Teen Wolf 22. Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter 21. American Werewolf in Paris 20. Underworld 19. John Carpenter’s Vampires 18. Blade: Trinity 17. Van Hellsing 16. Silver Bullet 15. The Howling 14. 30 Days of Night 13. Fright Night (2011) 12. Renfield 11. Near Dark 10. Blade 9. Blade II 8. The Lost Boys 7. Fright Night (1985) 6. American Werewolf in London 5. Let Me In 4. What We Do in the Shadows 3. From Dusk Till Dawn 2. Interview with the Vampire 1. Bram Stoker’s Dracula
31- Blade Trinity 30- Twilight 29- Van Helsing 28- An American Werewolf in Paris 27- Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter 26- Teen Wolf 25- 30 Days of Night 24- Stake land 23- Brotherhood of the Wolf 22- Vampires 21- Dog Soldiers 20- Day breakers 19- Fright Night Part 2 18- Underworld 17- Bram Stoker’s Dracula 16- Renfield 15- Silver Bullet 14- The Howling 13- Near Dark 12- Fright Night 2011 11- Blade 10- Interview with the Vampire 09- Blade II 08- Fright Night 07- From Dusk Till Dawn 06- Ginger Snaps 05- An American Werewolf in London 04- Thirst 03- What We Do In The Shadows 02- Let the Right One In 01- The Lost Boys
This is a fun list that makes me want to watch some of these movies. A couple of comments: (i) I have fond memories of Ginger Snaps II, which begins as a straightforward sequel to Ginger Snaps (which I had definitely not seen first; I think I eventually did, but I have no clear memory of it) and then goes somewhere else entirely. This is the onscreen debut of Tatiana Maslany, and boy does she leave an impression. (ii) Yes, I like Blade II better than Blade. I think the sequel is not only not derivative of the original but is a distinct elevation of it. The design on the "super vampires" is just wonderful. They actually scared me a bit; nothing in the other Blade films came close. The main antagonist feels like a worthy opponent to Blade, more so than Deacon Frost and (weirdly) much more so than Dracula himself. Having Ron Perlman in a film is always a treat. And finally, the visual feel of the movie is just tremendous. You mentioned that the visuals look dated, and I haven't seen it for a few years, but I remember that the end of the first film uses mid 90's computer animation of the kind that looked dated almost right away. I really like that Blade II doesn't try to "go bigger" than the first film; it's just a better movie. (iii) From Dusk Till Dawn is a ridiculously fun movie. Good eye in putting it so high on your list.
Watched all of the different rankings. It was interesting to see the difference of opinion. I do really like Fright Night though, it would be higher on my list.
How I Would Rank All Of These: Top 10 1. Let the Right One In 2. What We Do in the Shadows 3. Ginger Snaps 4. An American Werewolf in London 5. Interview with a Vampire 6. The Lost Boys 7. Near Dark 8. Fright Night 9. Dog Soldiers 10. Reinfield Middle 10 11. Underworld 12. Bram Stroker’s Dracula 13. Brotherhood of the Wolf 14. Blade 15. From Dusk Til Dawn 16. Stake Land 17. The Howling 18. Fright Night 2011 19. Twilight 20. Daybreakers Bottom 11 21. Blade II 22. Blade Trinity 23. Van Helsing 24. 30 Days of Night 25. Silver Bullet 26. Teen Wolf 27. You guys should do a 31 on 31 with the universal classic monster movies, which is 30 movies, but I recommend adding the monster squad which has all the classic monsters in it
Wow man... I'm sorry but fright night and silver bullet is awesome!! I watch Cody leach all the time and I thought his list was Soo much on par with mine but to each their own brother! I know you said you had no ties to the movies and you didn't grow up on them

Ah man there are so many werewolf and vampire movies. You must see the old Chinese vampire movies. They are really funny. Like Mr. Vampire ( 1985). The vampires do not walk but jump when they move. It hilarious to watch. Top 15 favorite vampire movies are: 15- Carpenters: Vampires 14- Interview with a Vampire 13- Dracula (1931) 12- The Night Flier 11- Underworld 10- 30 Days of Night 09- Near Dark 08- Thirst (Korean) 07- Blade 06- Fright Night (1985) 05- Salom's Lot 04- The Lost Boys 03- From Dusk Till Dawn 02- Vampire Hunter D 01- Bram Stokers: Dracula. American Werewolf in Paris isnt a good film but its got one particular scene that made me laugh hysterically: when the main character is having visions of his friend in the restraunt and says "it cant be you. You're dead. I saw them drag your body out of the river" only for it to be a fish in reality 😂😂

Oof Van Helsing at 30…that hurts. Lol I have a lot of fun with it. It’s an incredibly interesting crossover idea….but it’s certainly not great. I’ve read the novella Silver Bullet is based off on: it’s ok. It is an interesting story…
Bout time American Werewolf in London made the top 10 on these 31 on 31’s. Not gonna lie my jaw hit the floor when I saw you ranked Twilight above The Howling but hey opinions be opinions

Jus Say'n.
thats why its nice to see all their reviews, they all have different backgrounds and enjoy different things@@4truth123...
@4truth123... Thank you. I just said the same thing.
I thought Sean and Cody had identical movie opinions, but after watching both of your 31’s on this… NEVER-MIND!!!
At this point, Chandler has to be trolling us. The dude shows clips of Abe Lincoln Vampire Hunters during his Spielberg ranking and here he shows Spielberg Lincoln clips during ALVH. 😅 Funny stuff, man.
Fright Night Part 2 is severely underrated.
Oh man, I’ve made it 5 spots into both this and Brian’s and already I’m raging 😂
I expected it from Brian but Sean's surprised me.
@@chadmcfarland9660Right, this is crazy.
@@chadmcfarland9660 I recomposed myself and watched the rest of Bryan’s vid and I gotta say of the 4 I’m by faaaaar most in line with Bryan.
Bro there’s like 31 movies my guy. It’s never gonna be like your list
and the Lomax Award goes to...
Uncle Sean Chandler lol 😂
Fright Night 2011 is my favorite. I absolutely have a blast with that one.
31 on 31 are always so much fun to watch, thx sean. The Lost Boys will always be my favorite vampire movie.
EXCELLENT MOVIE
Absolutely.
Appreciate you Sean!!
I always enjoy your rankings. I hope you have some cool summer plans!
So Uncle Sean is getting ALL the Lomax Awards this time. 😂😂😂
He will not be denied 😂😂😂
I think everybody will be the ones getting the Lomax awards 🤣🤣

I love how in the Spielberg ranking I was confused why Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter's clips are mixed in with the Lincoln clips. And here, I'm confused why I saw Daniel Day Lewis' face the moment he showed ALVP.
Out of these my personal favourites are What we do in the shadows and An American werewolf in London, probably because I prefer horror comedies but they is still a good variety on this list.
Sean is doing a speedrun to make Cody go insane

I'm happy that you were able to rank this many movies, Sean. Especially since most of these, as you said yourself, were 1st viewings for you since you had never seen most of these before.
Wow, Let the Right One In is an easy number 1 for me. I audibly gasped at your placement, but totally respect it, everyone has different tastes.
Yeah seeing that one and Interview with the Vampire being below blade films was mind blowing for me
Yeah. I don't rate it for re-watching, but it's great. It's just such a bummer, I don't go back to it very often. Top 5ish tho.
Van Helsing is my favorite movie of all time. I was so heated when you put it at 30 omg! Then to top that off you put silver bullet low. I’m crying! But I still love ya!
As a point of reference, I watched/rewatched and took notes on all 31 of these movies over the last two months. These are my updated thoughts on all 31 of these films
31. An American Werewolf in Paris-An incredibly lame and tedious version of this story that doesn’t have any redeeming qualities in my eyes
30. Van Helsing-As much as I love Hugh Jackman, this is a hollow, overblown, noisy film that doesn’t seem to have any idea of what makes a good monster movie
29. Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter- Even though this movie certainly looks interesting, the movie never knows what it’s trying to do with its characters, ideas, and concept
As another point of reference, I like and/or would go positive on the rest of these movies
28. Blade: Trinity-This isn’t a good movie by any stretch of the imagination, but I still have a pretty decent time with the surface value entertainment that this movie delivers
27. Twilight-Listen, I’ve never been the target audience for this movie, it’s not a movie that I ever gravitate to rewatch, and it has problems, but for what it’s trying to do, I think it does it fairly well
26. Interview with the Vampire-While this is a movie that I enjoy well enough for its atmosphere and thrills, it’s also a movie that’s a bit too operatic for my personal taste
25. Brotherhood of the Wolf-It was definitely a movie that I respected more than I fully enjoyed it, but I still found this one interesting for all of the elements and genres that it blended into this film
24. Stake Land-This is the movie where I started to get a bit burnt out on watching all of these vampire and werewolf films, but I still thought that this was a pretty impressive film for what it was, especially because it had a budget of $625,000
23. Underworld-Even though the already not great reputation of this movie was hurt by a bunch of the sequels, I’ve always liked this movie for its style, cast, and well done action from director Len Wiseman
22. Renfield-While I didn’t enjoy this movie as much as I hoped I would, I definitely enjoyed this movie for its gore, its exploration on codependence, and of course, Nicolas Cage as Dracula
21. Bram Stoker’s Dracula-I didn’t think that all of the philosophy, horror, adventure, romance, and operatic elements were fully blended as well as they could’ve been, but it was always engaging and I really enjoyed most of the performances
20. Ginger Snaps-This isn’t really one that I would gravitate towards to rewatch, but it worked quite well for the coming of age werewolf story that it was trying to be
19. Thirst-Because I didn’t really know what this movie was, I was pretty surprised by how relentlessly bleak and disturbing this movie was, but it was still intriguing and well done
18. John Carpenter’s Vampires-It’s definitely superficial entertainment, but I’ve always had a good time watching James Woods hunt down vampires
17. Silver Bullet-I wouldn’t say that this movie ages as well as a lot of the older movies on this list, but because there are a lot of very bad Stephen King adaptations, I thought this movie worked pretty well for what it was
16. 30 Days of Night-A solid combination of a serious tone with gore and atmosphere that makes for an effective horror film
15. Fright Night Part 2-This was a first time watch for me and I thought that while this movie didn’t fully capture the charm of the original, it was a solid sequel that stood on its own two feet
14. Daybreakers-A very good vampire movie that has enough of a difference from other vampire films to be a satisfying experience for horror and vampire fans
13. What We Do in the Shadows-I had never seen this movie before a week ago, but I quite enjoyed this movie for its satirical and subversive spin on vampires that respects what it’s poking fun at, unlike some other Taika Waititi projects
12. The Howling-I don’t put this movie on as high of a shelf as a lot of horror fans, but it’s still a solid film that has a great werewolf transformation sequence and a plot that’s executed quite well
11. Let the Right One In-A very thematically rich horror film that has a lot of interesting themes of parenthood, identity, loneliness, and attachment, which makes for a solid movie that has a lot to say
10. Dog Soldiers-Much like a bunch of other movies on this list, this movie isn’t a perfectly crafted movie, but it provides plenty of action and horror that makes for a movie that’s definitely worth watching for genre fans
9. Fright Night 2011-It’s nowhere near as classic as the original, but it has its own unique style, a well written script, and very good performances from David Tennant and especially Colin Farrell
8. Teen Wolf-This is pretty much 100% nostalgia, but I’ve always really enjoyed this movie, even though it’s a generic coming of age story where the main character just happens to be a werewolf
7. Near Dark-A rock solid vampire movie that takes vampires, western elements, and an Americana setting and mixes those in a very consistent horror film from Kathryn Bigelow
6. From Dusk Till Dawn-I’ve always enjoyed the first half of this movie more than the second half, but the entire movie is still a highly enjoyable blend of crime drama and vampires that has Robert Rodriguez’s style and Quentin Tarantino’s dialogue
5. An American Werewolf in London-When you put it all together, the werewolf transformation sequence is iconic, the movie is incredibly bleak, there are moments that are quite funny, and the tone is something different entirely, so this is a great horror movie that has a lot to offer
4. Blade II-It’s nowhere near as massive in scale as the vast majority of comic book movies over the last fifteen years, but that doesn’t change the fact that this is great sequel that builds and expands upon the original in a great way
3. Fright Night-A great blend of 80’s horror, 30’s & 40’s horror, and humor that works because it knows that it’s concept is silly, so it leans into that while not treating itself like it’s a joke
2. Blade-Who knows if Blade’ll ever show up in the MCU, but what I know is that I’ll always be able to watch this awesome movie whether or not we ever see this character and world ever again
1. The Lost Boys-A fantastic mix of teenage vampires, horror, humor, and plenty of visual style, which makes for a movie that’s so distinct in 80’s excess that it’s definitely my favorite out of these 31 movies
Man, you guys are all over the place on these movies and that's great!
It just shows art is subjective and different people see different films differently (pardon the redundancy 😅)
I like seeing these different takes on movies even the ones I radically disagree with.
Keep up the good work.
If the Blade movies teach us only one thing, it's that vampires LOVE raves
The Little Vampire not being on this list is criminal
Love these 31 on 31. I have about 5 new movies to watch so thank you :)
31 on 31 is ao fun. Just finished watching Bryan's list. As expected, completly different placement. Very cool to have such diverse opinions!
I’m just glad Silver Bullet was in y’all’s videos. I grew up watching it and adore but it isn’t for everyone
Wow I almost fainted when I saw how low The Howling is! Lmao
56:50 I actually experienced it like that, and I watched it like… a couple years ago 😅
Gotta love that Gei Elmo Del Toro.
I will definitely rewatch Blade trinity 😁
Blade trinity is a bad movie, but it is a ton fun. Even though I only watched it recently for this list, I still feel like it was fun watch for me. Agreed with that being a gulity pleasure watch.
First time i watched dust till dawn did not know it was a vampire movie
Such a great movie
Daem im suprirsed dog soldiers was this high!!!! That's freaking awesome
Loved the list Sean! You might get the Lomax award this year lol
😱 Ginger Snaps is my #1
@James Bruce Good choice.
I have a soft spot for An American Werewolf in Paris
Me to. It's bad but enjoyable bad.
I always watch that movie near Halloween. It never gets old, especially its soundtrack.
I was as well and wow it blew my damn mind too lol !!
im only 4:55 in and Van Helsing is too low, thats a taco bell movie for me
I have been looking forward to your list the most because of what you generally cover on your channel and.... you didn't disappoint at all, great list. Blade trinity also happens to be in my top 3 favorite bad films of all time as well.

Werewolf by Night is a favorite of mine!
Let’s start with the few I hate:
31. Twilight.
24. Stake land.
Now for the ones I like(the fact that we still got so many to go shows how awesome this 31 on 31 is!!):
23. American Wolf In Paris.
22. Bram Stoker’s Dracula.
21. Thirst.
20. Blade Trinity.
19. Let The Right One In.
18. American Wolf In London.
17. The Howling.
Now for the ones I really like(which again, is just crazy considering how many more I have left!).
16. Fright Night(Remake).
15. Underworld.
14. Dog Soldiers.
13. Brotherhood Of The Wolf.
Now for the ones I really really really like
12. Blade 2.
11. Van Helsing.
10. Fright Night 2.
9. From Dusk Till Dawn.
8. Renfield.
From here on out all the movies are in my top 50 horror movies of all time.
7. Silver Bullet.
6. Near Dark.
5. John Carpenter’s Vampires.
4. Interview With The Vampire.
3. Blade.
Now for the two movies from this roaster that I’m in love with:
Let’s start with the few I hate:
Now for the ones I like(the fact that we still got so many to go shows how awesome this 31 on 31 is!!):
23. American Wolf In Paris.
Now for the ones I really really really like
From here on out all the movies are in my top 50 horror movies of all time:
Now for the two movies from this roaster that I’m in love with:
How could wolfman not even make the list, it’s better than half of these movies!
Need a zombie version of this
Van Helsing was the first movie I ever watched with VLC back in high school 20 years ago
I'm speechless about this list, but I respect your opinion, sean.
I feel like I like van helsing more than most because I watched it so much as a kid. Honestly, kinda scared to watch it now lol
No Dayshift? {edit - so glad Twilight made the list} what crazyness is this?
I'm guessing the only movies I have seen on this ranking are the Blade movies so I'll just rank those
1- Blade
2- Blade 2
3- Blade: Trinity
This debrief will be legendary 😂
I loved hearing your commentary on Twilight, and I totally agree. I was 13 when I read the books and the first movie came out, so right in the generation you were referring to. I /was/ the target demo at that time.
That said, I know exactly what they are and get lots of guilty pleasure out of them (the MOVIES, the books are actually much better), so it’s nice to hear someone else who actually understands that.
Here’s my ranking of all the movies I saw:

Honestly, so glad Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter made the list 😂...not great but mindless entertainment
Holy shit this list 😳 I know we’re all entitled to our opinion but damn Bryan 😂
Started scaring me when you were talking zobie apocalypse with daybreakers....
Sorry to hear that
This is a fun list that makes me want to watch some of these movies.
I still love the underworld franchise. Admittedly, the last 2 are great!
Wow it's trippy how completely different your list is from Cody's. Fascinating. Such vastly differing opinions.
You should rank John Hughes movies. Also now that you mention Napoleon Dynamite I need to hear your thoughts on it😂
Blade trinity is the bottom for me and the top is very hard for me between fright night and American werewolf in london
Wow I somewhat like the bottom movies so this list should be pretty stellar.
Then I saw twilight at 25 and being like wtf is wrong with Sean.
Watched all of the different rankings. It was interesting to see the difference of opinion.
I do really like Fright Night though, it would be higher on my list.

dont ye guys usually do a joint video after doing the 31 on 31?
Yes. It hasn't been scheduled yet
Shout Marc Dacascos. Only the strong and drive were great back in the day. Good to see him in John Wick 3.
You guys should do a 31 on 31 with the universal classic monster movies, which is 30 movies, but I recommend adding the monster squad which has all the classic monsters in it
Van Helsing i enjoyed. The story does needs more depth. Fright Night 2 had some good stuff mainly the main villainess she was good.
This was a 31 on 31 with a lot of iconic movies in it
You said Only the Strong and I was suddenly 8 years old at my dad's house again
Wow man... I'm sorry but fright night and silver bullet is awesome!! I watch Cody leach all the time and I thought his list was Soo much on par with mine but to each their own brother! I know you said you had no ties to the movies and you didn't grow up on them
You guys should make a t shirt with the logo of the werewolf and vampire in the background, would be sick. Big fan of the horror reviews
Just gonna do my own top 31 instead of going by yours. I actually like every film on this list, but the bottom 3 are all guilty pleasures.

I actually love Van Helsing, it's campy AF, but the snowy setting is so cozy
Great list! I have only seen 13 out of the 31, but my top 5 is:
What we do in the Shadows
The Lost Boys
Blade II
Fright Night
Fright Night (2011)
Definitely want to check some of yhe remaining 18 out as well
No Bad Moon?
Damn Morbius wasnt included? I guess because we all know it would be number 1.
It would be unfair
It's already in the hall of fame.
Ah man there are so many werewolf and vampire movies.

Horror Of Dracula is easily better than any of these films
