- 1st Gen Tacoma Trd Supercharger Maintenacne, pulley upgrade MORE BOOST.
I will be changing the supercharger coupler Dorman part number 917-022, oil (Redline 5W-30 Full Synthetic) and installing a URD 2.2 drive pulley to up the boost. www.urdusa.com...
Also installing URD SuperGrip Crankshaft Pulley! www.urdusa.com...
The fuel injectors are sourced used and locally, I paid 10 bucks each for them. They are out of a 1997 Lexus with the 2jz and are said to be around 312cc"s
The fuel pump is a Walbro 255. Part number gss342 ( Don't forget the install kit)
170 degree thermostat was bought from Orielly Auto Parts local. Part number 4077 Murray brand ( Don't forget the t-stat seal! )
Excellent! I’ve got a T100 with a 4th gen I bought new on ebay in 2014 or 15, it’s got over 120k on it now, and I’m having to go in there for a bad fuel injector, so I’ll be changing the valve cover gaskets and sleeving all the fuel rail wiring, the plastic disintegrated 80k miles ago, so everything is laced with aircraft string tie and clamped up off the lower intake. I’m going to cover that with black plastic braid this time in. I’m also replacing the high pressure fuel line and return hoses, as well as the vacuum lines under the fuel rail in the back by the fuel pressure regulator. I like the way you approach the job, and you show the average person that the job isn’t impossible to do with basic hand tools.
Quality video!
Thanks for the video. Just subscribed 👍
Awesome, thank you!
The walbro pump will give you trouble in the 15 amp wifi fuse .It will draw to many amps
Hi, nice combo. Where did you get the injectors from , please include a link? Also did you use a piggy back or a tune?
I’d love to see a video on how to install that pulley! I’m going to change mine and I’d love to have a vid to reference to
Did you get yours done?
I would also like to supercharge my Tacoma but would like to avoid ping. 7th injector kit is so expensive though. In for more videos on this truck!
@@HalversonAutoUT just did!
I’m running a 2.0” pulley from Pulley Boys, URD stopped making them, and now you can only get the 2.1” and larger pulley from URD. I’m running a 4.88 rear, if you want phenomenal acceleration and no pinging, run premium and an easy to spool up rear gear, (4.30 or higher) and you’ll be the stoplight King in your area!
I have a 96 T100 with the 2 inch pulley I'm running a Snow Performance water methanol injection kit in my opinion it's a much better and less expensive way to go vs the 7th injector route
Did you add a 7th injector kit or just the injectors in this video with just the stock ecu?
Awesome video but where’s video number 2?
I will be posting an update video soon!
I’m wondering the same thing I need to do some supercharger maintenance as well and I would like to run the bigger fuel pump and 2jz injectors also with the 2.2 pulley 🙌🏼🙌🏼 I pray I’m not wasting time and money I don’t have
How does it run with the new injectors and smaller pully? Did you have to do any other mods to get the A/F mixture correct?
I’m wondering the same thing if anybody has done this since he’s not responding can you please let me know thank you
If I want to run the 2.2 pulley do I have to run the seventh injector kit and or also get it tuned or can I just put the 2.2 on and be good to go ? I don’t really race it or anything it’s a crawler but I would like the little extra torque Im sure it might give it…
Is the mpg loss noticeable? And has it been worth the time and money in your opinion?
I actually got better mileage when I installed the SC when the truck itself had no lift and stock tires. Increase of 2 mpg
I live in Colorado have a sc 2001 4Runner and I’ve been on the forums and can’t find much help for upgrading the sc without going super expensive . I really like what you did and are doing. Do you think what your doing would be good and would work for mine? I should mention that I am doing a lot of driving in my car for work and stuff. How long does this keep the vehicle disabled.
Do you have a supercharger now?
how's it running? did the Walbro pump help with detonation ?
I'm going to post a video here soon!
@@HalversonAutoUT?? Did you post one up ? I want to do this too thanks
@@HalversonAutoUTplz more info thanks
Are the injectors plug and play?
@@HalversonAutoUT what about tuning?
Yes they are. The computer seems to do a good job with them al stock, no rich/ lean codes after 1,000s of miles.
