  • Just arrived after 60 days (aliexpress) the module is very cool and will be a part in an upcoming project. In this video I will unbox it and play around with this module. I also do a measurement to check the accuracy and the efficiency. Enjoy the video.
One thing to mention is that I will next time order it from banggood they are quiet faster.

Another way to help me is to use these links from banggood. Every time you use my links to buy things, I get some money to buy new, useless kits.

Definitely one of the better videos I have seen on this power module you put a lot of time and effort into it great job can’t wait to see your next one. I was thinking of using one of these with a transformer stepping it down from the mains using a full bridge rectifier and some capacitors maybe some LC or RC to clean up the power to be the feed voltage supply for this buck boost power supply. Most people probably would just use a (SMPS) switch mode power supply it’s cheaper smaller and lighter I just happen to like things that are heavy duty and linear even though they’re not efficient. Would like to see you do a video on something like that put together.

I like to use (SMPS) modules that are fully closed so I don't need to mess with main voltages even I could work with main voltages long time ago I learned that stuff (energie anlagen elektroniker) but for my videos I like it more safe so I always search for a way not to play around with main voltage. I have large enough transformers and the full bridge rectifier and big enough caps to build one but then I won't use a switch mode module then I will use a linear regulator just to avoid the switching noise you will always get with smps.

Thanks for the video. I was going to buy the DPS5005 but think I will get this one instead. Looking forward to the next video of you making it up. :)

Ian Allen I think the DPH is a great module I like that I can get more voltage out of it, need to play more around with it, just now I think at higher output the efficiency should be better long time ago I learned that those switching power supply are best at about 80% load.

Hello there. Thank you so much for this great video. I ordered the same product and I expect it to come. What I want to know is how does the device behave if the current is reversed? As you know, the electric current in the battery power supplies turns in the reverse direction after the power is cut off.
Does the device cut off current in this case? Is there a diode inside the device? Does the current show negative? Could you give information please?

Ali Sever I try to charge a battery with it and it works but I’m not sure is it is a good idea somewhere I read it has a protection with the older modules it was not possible. Maybe you should ask RuiDeng on their channel.

      ts.electronics.Thank you for your reply. I have a 1kw online power supply that's connect to 3 batteries(Varta 12 Volt 105ah) .
The power supply charges the batteries with a voltage of 41. And it's not enough to make a full charge because the manufacturer advices to charge it with 14,4 volts that means 14,4*3=43,2 to have an full charge and desulphation. So I plan to boost the 41 volt to 43-44 volt by this device. In my opinion it will work because the batteries will decide how much current will be there. But the device will put the maximum current as 5 Amper. I hope, the electricity doesn't cut off during charge. İf this sistem doesn't work i'll buy an Direct current power supply like this:

      Thank you for your help.

Thank you very much for your great video , you test the resolution and efficiency . it great ,
but for the resolution, you can should use more bit multimeter to compare, I guess your result is not exact ...
If you want to make a better test, you can check this page , it show many many things
I am waiting for your new video
    thank you

Is it still runing fine? Any problems after 3 months of use? Im thinking about buying it but for 60$+ you can get cheap bench power supply... I cant decide what is better.
Edit: also would be nice to know if this module can output for example 1V 5Amps while its powered with 20-30V. Its hardest thing to do for modules like this because they are less efficient on low voltages. Would heat a lot probably.
PS: i cant say efficiency also :D :D such a hard word

works still fine, I use it a lot at 5V the efficient was not bad for this module I let it run for several hours (>24h) to power a raspberry pi as an octoprint server.
