    I used the nosvritch mouth guard for literally one game and got one of my lower teeth broken by a long distance shot.
    The product wasn't defective in any way but its design inherently carries more risk than a baclava or a mesh mask and I think you should mention it.

    I did mouth guards once. They worked well and helped my heat issues. But I found that the amount of headshots I recieved skyrocketed. To a point that it wasn't just bad luck.
    Also, my teeth were fine but my lips and surrounding facial tissue got bruised. So fuck mouthguards.

      Spending hundreds of dollars on dentist is not worth the risk at all. It is a numbers game , sooner or later you will get hit in the teeth

    I can recommend making your own stainless mesh insert with 1/1.2mm stainless mesh. Basically cover the sides in strong bias tape / thin finely woven webbing. The delicate bias tape isn't enough to protect you from the sharp points, and the wire might poke through the loosely woven webbing. You can add some soft material on the inside edges, shape it so it touches on either side of your mouth, not actually touching your lips. Makes it easier to talk clearly. The shape is basically just a rectangle that's tall enough to not slide down (sits on your chin), and wide enough to cover your teeth. Either just shove it in your balaclava or sew it on.
    This is the best solution I've found so far, cost about £5. Doesn't immediately rust like some other inserts you can buy.

    Pro tip:
    If you wear a scarf or balaklava either by itself or under a mesh mask, allways leave your nose uncovered.
    If you breath through your nose, he air flows downwards which makes it harder for your eye protection to fog up;
    But even if you breath through your mouth, the seal of the scarf around your face will be much thighter that if your nose would be covered
    I use a mesh mask with a balaclava under and it works perfectly

    I actually got around it all, you look a bit silly but who cares.
    I got a full face mesh mask, feels really free and spacious underneathe. I then put some safety glasses underneath to stop fragments. Works really well.

    mouthguard is designed to absorb and distribute the force of blunt impacts, like those from sports, to protect against concussions and soft tissue injuries. However, an airsoft gun fires small, hard projectiles at high speeds, concentrating force on a small area. A mouthguard isn’t made to protect against this type of precise, high-speed impact. For airsoft, a full-face mask or a hard dental shield is needed to protect your teeth effectively.
    This is a piece taken from an article I read a few years ago when I was researching whether a mouthguard would be good enough for airsoft use. I would highly recommend buying proper face protection. Teeth are expensive. These Novritsch guys may have money to replace their teeth, but regular people don't.

    I’m a former field hockey player. Mouth guards are not the best choice in all my experience with them, if using them in airsoft, as you do not protect either lower teeth (if not a full one, I tried one, so bad) or your nose. Also, boiled mouthguards of not the greatest quality sometimes are not healty. Also it’s a new way to speak.
    But, the only big positive, you will nose breath better

    What i did is cut out mesh to cover my nose and mouth, and added straps to the back. That way im able to comfortably wear a balaclava while still being safe.

    Funny enough i had a Dye i5 face mask and while playing airsoft a player slide underneath me like slip and slide style and somehow show my bottom tooth out. And ended up getting a root canal. Im just unlucky like that
