I got hooked on your videos because I love the camping ones. Now I have to watch all of them. Watched this one even though my van’s automatic. I think I’ve got a problem. Send help! 😆
My guess is that if you can get away with lowering that lower section of the shifter more then because of the leverage affect you will shorten the shift more than if you left it at the exact 8cm that it was from factory, however of course clearance and alignment is important to take into account.
wait, was that the managon in the final shot? looked like huge progress, keep an update video coming pls! btw: again, excellent choice of ambient music ..
Is there a solution for long distance between driver and the oryginal shifter? Till now I was wondering about bending the oryginal lever, closer to right leg, but now i see that the lever is hollow inside, so bending is not good idea. Is there a possibility to install Big Shot shifter closer to right leg/knee, than oryginal lever ?
So the Big Shot can be oriented in any direction, so you can fine tune the position of the top of the gear stick. The throw is also reduced when changing gears so you don't have to reach as far.
Help me out please I do need help. Be bus 2.5i 4 speed right-hand drive. 2nd gear is kind of a struggle to get it in or sometimes it springs out of 2nd. I'm from George Western
Westfalia Vanagon Camper ,one of the few vehicles that goes up in value as it matures.
Inexplicably, as they are shit.
Back in the ‘70s this kind of thing was very big with bugs and Ghia’s in the states. Nice upgrade.

I have one on my automatic and I love it. Real easy to install.
Would have loved to have seen a bit of a drive with the new stick...
I have the automatic big shifter from RSFab I won it last year at syncrofest in Hollister CA. I love it. Love your videos.
Thank you for the kind words.
