I have an old Mackie CR-1604 mixer and I love THE sound that comes out of it! I bought it in 1994 and I am still using it, after replacing the old capacitors. I put on ELNA Silmic II caps and it rocks like brand new. The 24-8 Mackie desk I want it badly and I can't find any... Thanks for the video man!
He's not mixing, if you watch the video he explains that his tracks are fed through the direct outs on his mackie into a presonus digital mixer, which interfaces with his Daw and he mixes in his DAW.
As soon as he activated the drums after previewing the samples I started bopping like crazy 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Official instrumental my guy !!! Keep them bangers comin !!!!!!
Nothing wrong with a Mackie 8 bus. It's pretty much straight wire. I'm tempted to get a 32 channel version. I can mix so much faster on something like this than in the box.
I don’t use my mixer much but I plan to use the mix b feature to pan a sound per channel. You can pan the mix b and eq it so instead of using channels 1&2 for a sound I can keep the sound in one slot on the mixer and eq them differently. I can get 32 tracks into 16 and have the remaining 8 for returns or whatever.
I had this console before I went all in the box. I needed it less and less as I started relying on my DAW for everything, the console to me was starting to feel like a very expensive patch bay. I love the sound look and feel of this board to be honest, nothing in its price range comes close.
Hello friend, I'm about to buy that Makie mixer. Please can you explain to me how you did to connect it to the computer? How do you use each channel individually? How do I use each channel of the computer separately? Please help me by explaining with a short and simple video. 🙏🙏🙏
Hello.. first your going to need a audio interface with a lot inputs if you want to record each channel of this mixer back into your daw.. let's keep it simple for now let's say you have 8 channels on the mixer you want to record back into the daw.. this particular mixer has direct outputs on the back it.. so you would plug those into a interface with 8 inputs then record them into the daw..
I use 4 Presonus Firestudios as my converters. Patch the outputs of your interface(s) to the tape returns on the board (I stick a patchbay in between so I can patch in my outboard gear as needed). When your mix is finished, use the L and R Mix outputs (two XLRs on the back of the Mackie) to record the mix back into your interface/ DAW
Hello friend, I need you to help me please because I have bought the same used second-hand Myxer, Can you help me explain how I connect each channel separately to the DAW? Do I need some type of interface to be able to control each channel from the Mixer? Please, I need your help, could you make me a short video or give me a detailed explanation of what brand I can buy or any advice on how to do this. Thank you so much
Hi, I have the Mackie 24.8 but for a while I let it be used by the source that was stolen from me, after a while I had the fortune to get a new one but when I connected it, only the red led of operating level indicator remains on AND only what will I be doing evil.
Wow I just got one of these without the meter bridge and no power supply helping moving my church now I have to find a power supply to see if it works 😭
Filling the headroom is not a problem, it's your mind, but when you go beyond that and create a peak signal, your PA system will have serious problems, and do you know why?
hello bro, I really want to have that Meckie mixser. so that my music group can develop further. I'm from Indonesia, if I may, a mixser is for me Plisssss 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Do you Still Have That Mixer ? I’ve Watched Both of your Mackie videos Good content I had the Vlz Pro which one do you prefer Better ? Interested in the Mackie mixers you have if they are available for sale ?
Hi I have the same desk and do you know how the tape returns work on the back of the mixer ? Do you send outputs from a sound card ? But then his do the route back within the board as I can not find no info on this many thanks
I use 4 firestudios with a 32.8. Patch the outputs of the interfaces to the tape returns on the mackie (I stick a patchbay in between so I can patch in my outboard gear) Then when your mix is finished, use the XLR main outs on the back of the mackie to record the entire mix back into your interface 👍
Would you say this Mackie model is very quiet and how does the EQ sound. I was checking out a used 32X8 locally in NJ and considering buying it. Any input about the board would be great. Thanks.......
Rock-Cee, how do you like the Mackie 24 8 vs your Toft ATB? Big differences in warmth and sound? I ended up getting an ssl six and Apollo 8 set up but im definitely missing the large console format.. Thanks for the videos and reviews.

Check your manual or do a RUclips search for your specific MPC make and model. Should find something showing you how to assign your MPC outputs. Sorry I'm not a MPC user otherwise I would tell you. Looks like DJ Rock Cee has a tutorial on the MPC 3000 / 60. ruclips.net/video/WKvvRJ8QHUY/видео.html
How do you connect your MPCs to the mixer? I want to connect my every piece of music equipment to be connected to a giant mixer so that I don’t have to replug everything every time.
MPCs have 1/4 inch outputs so just feed those into spare channels into your console...Output 1 into input 1 of your console, output 2 into channel 2, etc. Most console, like the Mackie 8 Bus, have direct outs and busses. Depending on the number of inputs of your audio interface you can use the direct outs of the console and or the bus outputs for easy routing. You could also skip a console altogether and purchase an audio interface like the Presonus Quantum 4848 which has 32 analog inputs and outputs as well as 16 digital I/O. Use that like a digital patchbay/mixer. Permanently connect all of your equipment directly to your interface and label all of your inputs inside your DAW software. Makes it easy to assign to tracks. You can check out this video for more information about recording, setting up your equipment and mixing. ruclips.net/video/H-fLiRppLg8/видео.html
@@chillack7762 Yes. The MPC Renaissance has 1/4 inch stereo outs with assignable outs. @@chillack7762 No. You don't have to use a mixing console. You can record all of your tracks directly into the computer using an audio interface and mix with the DAW software of your choice (Pro Tools, Cubase, etc.) Some people still like to use mixing consoles but they're not necessary. Just get an audio interface that has enough audio inputs to accommodate your gear.
