Played this twice last night with the wife and we both loved it. I strongly recommend the Meeple realty insert. while not necessary, it have 2 trays that keep the pieces sorted for 2 players and then make it easy to add pieces for the 3rd and 4th players. It also has two separate trays for scoring points, so each player can have their own score tokens or one for each side of the table.
@@TheBrokenMeeple under or around 20 US, I guess the question is shipping. That and the problem with inserts being that they cost often at least half the price of the base game. I got this one because I know Reef is going to be hitting the table a ton, teaching people, even my parents.
That was a serious extreme though. People were so brand new to gaming that they took a while, there was some chit chat amongst them and the reef pieces were near perfectly balanced in terms of output. It was the only game where the cards were the end game trigger. Typical games should be 30 minutes, 45 max.
@@TheBrokenMeeple I recently had a 4 player game of King+Queendomino (Royal Wedding variant) that lasted 2 hours. The person with the highest AP was the one who owns both games and we play all sorts of games. I'm definitely keeping your estimate in mind when I inevitably buy and teach them Reef. Sometimes I'm a sucker for pain 😉
I own and love both Azul and Ree. Played Reef twice yesterday at games day and thought 2 groups. 1 player had never played hobby games at all. Both games took 30-40 min. Great game. I too am excited to see what comes next from plan B. Have you played Sprawlopolis? Button Shy game amazing puzzle great solo game.
@@TheBrokenMeeple It is a micro game. Cards act like rile for city building. 18 card deck 3 different goals based on cards back make for a lot of replay value.
Nice haircut! I've got this and haven't played it yet. Thought I'd give you a view for channel support regardless. Also a sucker for big chunky pieces. Looking forward to trying it, oh and your Flip my lid thing... brilliant. Cheers!

Sounds cool, guess it will depend on price.

60 mins max with AP players? My AP friends will definitely challenge that! Can't wait to play this

Hmm, might need to consider this one for our lunch time games at work.

Is it fair to say if I don't enjoy Azul (mainly cause I don't see much replayability from it), it is unlikely that I'll enjoy this?
It's quicker and easier than Azul but if replay value was your bug I don't see how this will surpass that.
@@TheBrokenMeeple Alrighht, thanks for your reply :) Bought Rising Sun after your review, keep up the good work :)

LOL! Flip my lid. Already ordered. Looks like my lid has a chance of getting “Flippedl
no way this is better than azul.
Wonderful filler game. Definitely see it get played a lot with family members. And I think it's much better looking than Azul.
