What framing lumber did you use? I am up in Canada and it is a must to use pressure treated lumber for framing because moisture will rot through it pretty fast otherwise. Using composite decking means the rain runs straight down to the framing. We use joist tape on top of the joist before deck planks go down too. Please tell me what that framing is... Just pine or hemlock softwood, and how is it protected from rain and damp? Thank you. (nice job bye the way). Simon... Vancouver Canada.
@@THEpremieroutdoor iIt looks nice to work with. Ours is straight but with ugly knots and rough looking with brown chemical on it. Not nice to work with at all.
That looks amazing, ive never seen much of a point in pergolas being from Texas but I still absolutely love this setup. The working process looked flawless and well though out as well.

Is it 12x12? Going with a standard lumber size is awesome way to reduce cutting and labour time - clever!
Always keep lumber sizes in mind when designing!
Seems like they would take the lawn out , before building a deck over it
Why
@nickage87 looks like a screw pile foundation, so no need for concrete
Agreed amazing! Could I ask to the publisher.
What did this project cost and the time frame? Guessing 20 workers threw out the build. Good vid!

What is the size of the deck? And have you guys drilled through the existing concrete slab underneath of the deck for some of the posts?
It is 16x16 and 16x14, we cut out some of the concrete to install helical pile footings
What did you do for flashing on the ledgers? I didn’t see anything go on the pergola
Pergola was flashed with a vinyl ledger flashing, that was done at the end as we patched in siding, Dont think we got that on the time lapse
