Ok, I'll allow my drunken self to write a swift review of what I just felt watching this. Matt seems to be the sexiest, most vivid character in the whole fucking world, STILL. Shit. What a fucking presence. And then there's the environment. The band he chose to perform with, the type of venue, the crowd. This gut still sweats. This guy respectfully sang all the song, like a fucking cover, and he's Matt Sharp. He sang this fucking song back then - as he does it now. No hard feelings, no resentment, no irony. Just the song, pure and undone. I know this is 2 years old, but Matt looks healthy and charming - and that got me really pumped. I believe he's the favorite W member of most of the people who gave a fuck about the band at their best, so it's awesome to see him doing this. Specially this song. This guy is so important to me, I won't even begin... Just thank you for the upload. And, Matt, keep trucking. YOU FUCKING ROCK.
@@jameslaroux matts the reason pinkerton and the blue album where as great as they was, him and rivers writing was great and the band lost their original touch at the green album
I think Rivers was actually the only one of the 4 members that didn't have anything to do with it, it was the other 2 guys and matt not getting on well.
@@bitterman7258 Unpopular opinion but green isn't trash it's decent it's probably the 4th best weezer album in all seriousness. (maldroit beats it out imo)
not gonna lie, Weezer without Matt is less Weezer than it used to be. But you cant say this band sounds more like Weezer.. The guitar skill and style as is much lower than Brian's, the vocals are skilled but it's just not Rivers Cuomo, the drummer isn't near as good as Patrick.. This is a good band but they are not Weezer.
Matt was always the true MVP.
That's an awesome fuzz bass tone!
I think Matt & Rivers could still make a great team... but that’s just a stupid dream... =w=
That I won't realiiiiiiiiiiize, cause I can't even look in your eyes.

I know. I, saying Matt Sharp owns it!!!
Nothanks It's okay, we can still be friends.

Nah, scott is doing just fine

This is the awesome version ...
Thing is i guess. Both rivers and Matt wanted to be leaders their Egos cancelled each other out thats why he couldnt stay with the band.
He left because i think he broke his leg and just didn't return after that
You're both wrong. Check out the book Rivers' Edge. Really insightful on Matt's departure.
I heard that book sucks
I'm sure you did. It doesn't.

I like scott but I miss matt
Sure beats Shriner, never been a fan. after Mikey passed away, Matt should have come back, but this performance is the shit
Shriner is when weezer starting to become awful, after Sharp left and Mikey came along, weezer was great again, but then mikey left and it all fell apart
Man I feel bad for scott
*Mikey is a good basist but the green album is trash*

matt sharp with another band sounds more like weezer than the weezer band touring and putting out shit albums today. matt IS weezer

+Sayyid Rose yeah i actually really like those albums!

Weezer is just not Weezer without Matt Sharp on bass...
It's I'm me not oh me
He had one job
Scott is still a joke. The real Weezer is only weezer with Matt Sharp.
Scott is an amazing bassist, he just does not have the same charm that Matt does.
ASCG5000 yeah great bassist but nowhere close as good as a performer as Matt and Mikey were
Mikey was my favorite, not because he was hot, but because he sorta balanced out the dorky nervousness with being cool
