Saturday January 23rd, 1-3 pm Seminar: Fogelpole Cave Biology and Geography, Monroe County Annex, 901 Illinois St., Waterloo. Steve Taylor, Illinois Natural History Survey and University of Illinois - Urbana, and Clifftop’s lead science advisor for our Paul Wightman Subterranean Nature Preserve, and Aaron Addison, Washington University, will offer this presentation including a discussion of ongoing research on the Fogelpole Cave system. Cave-dwelling and cave-dependent wildlife includes rare species, some found nowhere else on earth. The entire system is being re-mapped, using modern technologies that will allow GIS layering.
