As a die hard disturbed fan since 2009, having listen to every album so many times that i had to re-buy the cd because of the wear and tear. I fucking love this song. No matter what everyone thinks. This is fucking awesome, and it fills me with energy like every other disturbed song ever did. Now all I need to do is learn this song on the guitar and wait for Evolution. From the bottom of my metal heart Disturbed. Thank you!
Jason Godin oh my god thank you... an actual fan!!! All these others saying “I’ve been a fan for blank years but this is trash” can suck my ass... they’re not actual fans.. if you’re a fan you change along with the band... just because it’s not like what they used to put out doesn’t mean it isn’t going to be extremely fucking awesome :) And if they put out new shit you don’t like doesn’t mean you have to call them trash and give up hope completely. That’s what EVERYONE is doing, and I’m sick of these asshole “fans”.
Same man! Ive been with these guys from the very beginning and this song is awesome! Some new elements, a really catchy driving hook and a great chorus. Can you imagine this song live as the opening track? Get up, get up, get up, get up, ah ah ah ah .....cant wait !
I’ve seen a lot of people commenting saying they’re not going to attend concerts anymore... like are you kidding me?! This song live is going to be SO FUCKING AWESOME!! And people are acting like they’re only going to sing new music at their concerts.. have they ever been to a Disturbed concert?! Lol every artist sings their best and most popular songs at their concerts, while throwing in some new hits here and there. 😂😂 it’s like people think they’ll never hear down with the sickness live again 😂😂
Been a die hard Disturbed fan since 2005. As soon as this song started I got chills. This song is the Disturbed we all know and love. Cheers my Disturbed Ones!!!
It doesn't matter what kind of approach Disturbed makes with their music, just the sheer mental and emotional impact is enough to get me hyped for their upcoming album. So, yeah, I'm ready. Been ready for God knows how long. It's time to show the world that this is what real music is!
Man... When David switches up that note on the final prayed upons, holy fucking shit... you just feel the fire unleash into the crowd, that heavenly fucking liberating voice, Viagra can only hope to reach its standards.
*Band undergoes a major shift in style and sound* Fans: Waaaah, I want their old stuff back!!! *Band stays true to its roots and every song is recognizable* Fans: Waaaaah, try something new!!! Artists have a tough business.
Not when they recycle a vocal hook... like this one did. Thats what I mean when I say they sound the same and lack creativity. The chorus in this song has the same melody part as "Inside The Fire". Why pay money for something I already have?
Jactor same old shit comment when bands make a shitty song. We don't care if they change as long as it's good. Stop regurgitating the same shit every time a new song is released. Some idiot always says this. Form a completely new thought and stop copying other people. Goodef.
True True True. Hate when "fans" bitch when a band has a shift in style or sound, but at the same time bitch about the bands who keep a steady sound throughout shorter careers. Changing is what keeps bands and their music fresh and their careers thriving, but these so called "fans" can't adapt. It's sadness on behalf of the fanbase. People grow and mature all throughout life, it's just part of life. Unfortunately, too many dumbass "fans" can't respect it when musicians do.
@@shaihulud7316 *Then what the fk are you even doing on a Disturbed video, you clown? You need attention? Your life that worthless and miserable? Hopefully you don't answer because the rona claimed you.*
look guys, they sound different because they are experimenting new things, it's obviously that it wouldn't sound like their past stuff, is normal when you change your style.
I agree. As a huge sevenfold fan they have done exactly the same and people slate them for it. The music world would be a bit dull if every band did not change things up a little.
Experimenting does not excuse making that bad stuff. Seriously this sounds like another quasi-rock popular song. I want Disturbed that grips my soul rips it off my body and put it in pot of feelings. This gives me nothing.
Already posted this on the band's facebook but felt the need to show my support here too. Some of the negative comments (moreso on the Disturbed facebook page than here) show how, especially for metal bands, it's often a damned-if-you-do and damned-if-you-don't scenario. Whether a band stays the same or changes their sound, they'll be criticized. Personally, I think this is dope! Has a more old school feel to it while keeping the Disturbed spark. Every album brings something new but retains what makes Disturbed such a prominent, successful, unique, and timeless metal band. Love the evolution guys, and excited for more! (Also absolutely digging the return of them tasty guitar solos, keep it up Dan!)
Completely agree, people bitched about Godsmack because "their songs all sound the same". Then you have them and disturbed coming out with a change in their sound and now people are bitching about that.
Lewis Saddington , they could’ve easily just made the song better by recording more versions of the “are you ready” chorus. It’s clearly just a copy and pasted job....

For me this song has always represented a TOXIC RELATIONSHIP that I had to leave. Am I ready? To be strong. To prove them wrong. Leaving a narcissistic partner is one of the most difficult things to do. They gaslight you to make you feel crazy for choosing better. Choosing yourself. Choosing to be healthy and of sound mind again. Are you ready?
Mr. Draiman, the world needs you all. You don't ever fail to alleviate that need. We love you. through the darkness of our favorite music you have shown us what it means to be well endowed with the ability to promote evilness but never doing so. I give you my heartfelt thank you, disturbed. I am a musician as well. You can count another peace bringer here. Thanks.
TH3REDSP1R1T I agree. People say they always make this same music. But you can tell they always have something new on each album. No two albums sound the same to me. They just have their own unique style.
YES. ... I'm not saying to do something stupid. But the threat is more real than ever. (buy guns, people. if you can't do anything else, at least buy guns.)
This song remind me years 2001/2002 when I listened The Sickness five or six times a day. I was living in the street and used to go everywhere with a small radiocassete playing the tape next to my ear. David voice helped me to go through that hard times. Now my life is better, but Its nice to listen him again. We are alive. ❤
I love Disturbed! LOVE David's voice! And I love a songwriter who writes about what's going on in the world. He's a thinker...that's what great music needs! Can't wait to get this album!
Live it was amazing just saw them monday at Gila River in AZ !!!!!! Amazing as always any time they are in town I make a point to go !!!!!!!! They have influenced me for years and are one of the best bands of all time!!!!!! Three days grace was there and they were also really damn good live!!!!!!
I don't know if it is just me or not, but I want to shake the hand of the entire band of Disturbed, because I have been listening to there music for about 5 years, and certain songs of theirs have helped me not kill myself
Thank the Lord God Almighty that you haven't. I don't know you, bit the Lord has a plan for you. If you would like to know what it is ask Jesus into your heart and start reading the Bible
Their song "the Light" , by God's grace, has helped me through my heart anomaly condition. Instead of cursing my congenital heart problem, the ever-strengthening lyrics guided me to embrace the darkness as a way to find God and willing to survive. God bless you all people.
You aren't alone, my friend. I found Disturbed when I was in middle school--around 15 years ago--and they have become the soundtrack of my life. Gave me the strength of will to fight through some of the hardest periods of my life when my mental health was slipping, and my emotional stability had completely shattered. I didn't know who my friends were, who I could trust after being used and hurt by so many people within a 5-year span, but these guys gave me a backbone and helped me harden myself against all the bullshit and all the fakes. I now embrace the darkness that has shaped my life, I'm ready to fight back, and I raise my fucking fist to salute the men who made it possible. And to all my fellow Disturbed Ones... Let me see YOUR fists!
When they played at Athens Greece 1 day ago we where just smashing everything. We love u disturbed pls come again it was the best rock event after a lot of years at Greece
It's weird how I see more negative comments about this song, and yet the like to dislike ratio is incredibly positive. Anyways, I like this song. Maybe not *as* heavy as their other stuff, but albums don't include one song. Give it a chance.
Horizone Ronnie James Dio said it a long time ago. "If you listen to fools, the mob rules". Same thing. Haters have to hate. And for some reason haters are more apt to voice their opinions than positive ones. I think it is psychologically a crutch to validate their existence. Most people will appreciate something good unfortunately most haters will raise their voices.
Definitely! I can’t wait for this record to come out, but I think it is also necessary for people to voice their criticisms in a civil manner. This benefits both the band and the fans in the long run if done in the correct manner. It’s evident that we all came to the video because we love the band, and I can’t wait for their other material to release!
I always love how you can count on Disturbed to be Disturbed. When I pick up their Album .I know what I am getting. Disturbed. Some might say same old Shit. I say just the old shit I needed. When I here a new Disturbed song it feels like home, it feels right, and it feels like I can relate. Thanks Disturbed for your hard Work. I have made it through Hell and Back because of your songs. They mean something. And say Gday to the Guy for me. Next world tour I offer to dress up as the Guy and rock out on stage and in every crowd if you will have me. We ARE DISTURBED
It's a little annoying for me that the pinned comment is about how it's the most unique album they've ever made. Almost like they are trying to convince themselves. Don't get me wrong, this track is awesome. Sounds like a more polished Ten Thousand Days. But if someone was watching this in 2002 it would be unremarkable. I think that's what has slowly driven me away from mainstream metal
Skeets McGrew I feel the same way, man. I'm glad people can still come back to these guys and enjoy them, but I need changes from my bands between albums. I need new sounds. Good for you slipdig1 though. I'm glad that this stuff makes you happy.
Every morning God wakes me up screaming are you ready. Judges 11:7-13. Head of Gods, to stop the distress and bring forward restoration of peaceful landing. Stay blessed!! Jesus loves you all so much.
This song is good, but I prefer Disturbed when their mostly heavy. Hopefully they still remain heavy and add more elements of music. They should play around with other genres more too, but to a degree. I hope one day they take inspiration from death metal, thrash metal, and etc. I really wish disturbed can stay heavy, and still be unique and even more heavier.
I agree! Imagine if they went deeper into the melodic death or thrash metal sound.. with Draimans voice and their melodies/rhythms... They'd be a perfect band! Cant have everything in life
I would agree, but its of course their decision which style they want to play. I actually really like the rhythm/ sound of the verses, reminds me of their old Albums
Fucking finally. A band that keeps their signature sound and plays around with it. I'm so tired of listening to songs in 2018 and playing "guess the band". Disturbed 4 ever!
It never ceases to amaze me. Disturbed is one of very few bands left that has the courage to hold onto the true nature of rock, and also has the boldness to evolve it to a new audience. I've been a fan of disturbed since they released the 10,000 fists album and I was 8 at the time. I'm 21 now and every album has a new meaning and a new feel. Disturbed has helped me through my rough times and you better be live that my children and my children's children will always love and adore disturbed. Am I ready? You better believe it!
@flamingsalamander4974 i dont believe that one can be proud of many things and his own country and countrymen For me to hear this song, it fills me with hope for my fellow americans trying to better themselves and pride in David dramen for being such a positive person
The traceur (parkour practitioner) blocking the blaster bolts with a metal pipe was a little bit over the top, but overall I liked it! Disturbed forever!
Ok, I'm a huge Disturbed fan. My opinion of the song: not that heavy as I expected but quite catchy. Best part are verses, cool groove and guitars in the background and ending is more powerful but still think its too soft for the first single. I remember how metal and powerful were and still is The Vengeful One, with agressive parts and anthemic awesome chorus. This time chorus is quite meh, and there is no really main melody of the song. I hope other songs on Evolution are better
I was just going to say, As the album opener, this song is kind of soft for Disturbed even though it is catchy and the overall flow of the song is good. It's not a hard hitter. Still gonna wait for the album before I judge.
Yea, unfortunately the whole song blends together. I couldn't really tell where the chorus started. Not that that's a bad thing. There have been songs where the transition is just awful like in Mine.
Man I gotta say, I was going through some rough shit earlier this year, and only about a month ago have I been able to turn things around for myself. I have finally found my strength again and I feel like I'm back in the driver seat of my life. This song has totally become my power anthem that reignites that familiar flame in my heart to help keep my head up high and always moving forward. I won't EVER be conquered again, I'll NEVER be preyed upon! I. AM. READY!
As a long-time Disturbed fan.....i can safely say, this was the shift we needed from them. If you listen to the albums from beginning to now, you can hear the progression and importance of issues that surround us all. David is so in-tune with the world, its problems, the solutions, the military, the poverty, and the government.....he's a lyrical genius, and he has shown it time after time on every album. "Fans" that can't love this album, or its songs, are not true fans, and havent seen the progression. They just like "Down with the Sickness", "Ten Thousand Fists", and "Indestructible". Granted, those are all great songs, but they are not ALL the band is capable of. On top of that, growing up with them (from a teen to a full-fledged 30-something), i was able to piece their albums together to tell a story, at least the first 3 or 4...omitting the "Believe" album. Each song on one album, melded and evolved to the next album. This is a natural progression for them, and if you can't see that, then maybe you're just not disturbed enough.
It is with tremendous pride, joy, and anticipation that we look forward to sharing the next chapter in the creative life of Disturbed with the world.

I've seen them 3 times. One of those times was 2011 rock fest which was amazing. I plan on seeing them at least once on this tour
It’s already an evolution because they actually put John Moyer in the video
The New Yeller 🤣 you're right.
exactly what I thought XD Finally
He was also involved in the writing process. Only great things moving forward with ALL 4 INVOLVED.
Lmao
He's been in other videos
Ok I'm going to say this once DISTURBED is one of the most amazing bands in the world. They have never failed me and always have helped me through the hardest times in my life. And they have done it again THANK YOU DISTURBED
Their music is the reason I'm alive
Disturbed is the reason I'm still pushing forward. Its my therapy and life blood
Only a marginal fan of Disturbed but this song is absolutely terrific and I'm ready to listen and see what I might've missed out on. Great job on this one guys.
My god these guys are still KILLIN IT! I’m totally getting this album.
I listened to this once then changed all my alarms to this. I now wake up to “are you ready!?” And “get up get up!”
Thats awsome my dude
How? I keep trying to make this my ring tone?
Yeah,.Don't take this song to the gym,.You might workout for 2 hours!,..lol
@@thomasjones6216 I'd love to know also,.I wanna "BE READY",.Get up GET UP ! lol
It's a fact that if you put your favourite music in your alarm clock then it will become your most hated song because it will always break your dream
If you think about it this is a perfect song to open a show with... just imagine you her the techno began and hear. "ARE YOU READY" and then the instrumentals kick in
I would pay millions for that
That would be great!
Korn did it
cringe... "if you think about it " anyone with a sub 100 iq could make that easy connection. its lame and I hope they dont do that cliche shit. this is why the rest of us laugh at you immature metal heads. you literally act like children
@@enapayestep4726 I take your highly pessimistic point, but have a question... if you're not a metal head, then what exactly are you doing on a Disturbed music video? I believe you're lost.
This song and indestructible have helped me through some dark times. Whenever my situation seems impossible to overcome these songs puts me back in my I will not be defeated default mode.

How can I possibly wait until October 19th!?!?
As a die hard disturbed fan since 2009, having listen to every album so many times that i had to re-buy the cd because of the wear and tear. I fucking love this song. No matter what everyone thinks. This is fucking awesome, and it fills me with energy like every other disturbed song ever did. Now all I need to do is learn this song on the guitar and wait for Evolution. From the bottom of my metal heart Disturbed. Thank you!
Jason Godin oh my god thank you... an actual fan!!! All these others saying “I’ve been a fan for blank years but this is trash” can suck my ass... they’re not actual fans.. if you’re a fan you change along with the band... just because it’s not like what they used to put out doesn’t mean it isn’t going to be extremely fucking awesome :)
And if they put out new shit you don’t like doesn’t mean you have to call them trash and give up hope completely.
Jason Godin Nice to hear from a true Disturbed fan, not a music critic!!
Been a die hard Disturbed fan since 2005. As soon as this song started I got chills. This song is the Disturbed we all know and love. Cheers my Disturbed Ones!!!
I really miss the "wraaa" "uwa ah ah ah" "koh! koh!" "yemanama" "yaaaahw" "yana nana" "haaaa" lines from their classics
xD

Yes, I’m ready. My heart feels so heavy. But what I have to do? We need The Vengeful One right now.
Same here. If we don't stand and sacrifice our kids will be growing up in a dystopian hellhole.
I won't have it.
I'm so hyped when I heard this song! Can't wait for the album.
It doesn't matter what kind of approach Disturbed makes with their music, just the sheer mental and emotional impact is enough to get me hyped for their upcoming album.
So, yeah, I'm ready. Been ready for God knows how long. It's time to show the world that this is what real music is!
Wow what a song! Cant wait to see this live, it will most likely be the opening track. GET UP! GET UP! 🤘🤘

Serious question, does David even age?
Nope.
Lanky no but your mother sure has. Damn.
He's immortalized.
He's bald. Bald people don't noticeably age.
Satan gave him Immortality, he was Immortalized
*Band undergoes a major shift in style and sound*
Fans: Waaaah, I want their old stuff back!!!
*Band stays true to its roots and every song is recognizable*
Fans: Waaaaah, try something new!!!
Artists have a tough business.
Jactor Amen, brother!!! Well said!
Not when they recycle a vocal hook... like this one did. Thats what I mean when I say they sound the same and lack creativity. The chorus in this song has the same melody part as "Inside The Fire". Why pay money for something I already have?
William Spence then don't. They will probably release it anyway....
Unfortunately, too many dumbass "fans" can't respect it when musicians do.

look guys, they sound different because they are experimenting new things, it's obviously that it wouldn't sound like their past stuff, is normal when you change your style.
Brandon Jota But it doesn’t sound much different....
I agree. As a huge sevenfold fan they have done exactly the same and people slate them for it. The music world would be a bit dull if every band did not change things up a little.
this song sounds nothing different then their other stuff.. sounds like something off their indestructible album
Just like Korn!
William Mitchell Right the song just came out and it’s already something I actually love it it’s pretty good

Underrated???? What da fuq???? Disturbed??? UNDERRATED?!?!?! WHAT?!?!?!?
I disagree with your comment completely, they are not underrated at all. And this is such a bad song lyric wise, it's not very creative.
To be someone who cannot be preyed upon!
Mr. Draiman, the world needs you all. You don't ever fail to alleviate that need. We love you. through the darkness of our favorite music you have shown us what it means to be well endowed with the ability to promote evilness but never doing so. Their song "the Light" , by God's grace, has helped me through my heart anomaly condition. Instead of cursing my congenital heart problem, the ever-strengthening lyrics guided me to embrace the darkness as a way to find God and willing to survive. God bless you all people.
Never surrender!!!

Horizone because most of us have it on repeat instead of posting negative feedback. #youtube
probably because way more people just like or dislike than comment. So there will always be more likes/dislikes than comments.

This song is good, but I prefer Disturbed when their mostly heavy. Hopefully they still remain heavy and add more elements of music.
EXACTLY MY THOUGHTS
I was just going to say, As the album opener, this song is kind of soft for Disturbed even though it is catchy and the overall flow of the song is good. It's not a hard hitter. Still gonna wait for the album before I judge.
Agree completely, it’s fine, but nothing mind blowing. Although it did remind me of 10,000 Fists at some points
I mean, they are trying out new styles. I wouldn't expect this to be as heavy as previous albums honestly
I. AM. READY!
Stay strong, Bro.
