When we had an attic fire, my mom thought the dogs would flee and she gathered material things and I had to grab all 3 of our dogs 2 toy poodles each hiding under beds and our Lakeland collie hid in the bathroom that was completely destroyed. I didn’t care what we lost,as long as we had them!!❤ to all victims touch by this storm.
Republican state legislatures for many years have voted NO to stricter building codes because the builders pay them off (it’s cheaper to build with fewer safety codes, which means more profit for those builders). Yet the voters there, as in NC, SC, Georgia keep voting back in those same Republicans… Makes no sense 🤷🏼♀️
They are probably in an area where they are safe from the severe parts of the hurricane....this damage is from tornadoes. They wouldn't have known that tornadoes were going to hit until right before.
Thinking about you all from the UK , here people complain about the weather but its nothing when we see what you have had to deal with. you are a caring chap to look after your pets. I am just sad for you about possibly loosing your cat .
New homes required to have hurricane clips on ceiling/ roof studs to keep that from happening. Ties roof to wall studs. Tornados do more damage than hurricane sometimes.
The building inspectors should be made accountable for not building the Florida homes with better materials. They look like they're built with cardboard!
No you wouldn't. You would be in shock and suffering early stages of PTSD. Treat the shock because you can die from shock. And before the PTSD has fully burrowed into your psyche find a competent therapist; they exist at all price points. Odds are the cat is hiding because animals are much smarter than humans and would have evacuated.
I ask again.. WHY DO PEOPLE LIVE HERE??? It has never made any sense to me whatsoever. The idea of your home and everything you own, as well your life and the lives of your pets and family, being put at this kind of risk needlessly.. WHY?? You have this entire country to live in, and you choose to live in in major hurricane country. I will NEVER understand it.
