Welcome to the world of the Human Orchestra a.k.a. Kenny Muhammad! This wizard of sound possesses an astounding ingenuity that enables him to construct an unlimited array of musical composition -- all without the use of what the average listener would consider to be "instruments".
Kenny has put an entirely new twist on the art that some of us would immediately call the "human beat box". He defines the human body as the first instrument. Through an awesome manipulation of his own body, Kenny summons Afro Cuban, Jazz, Rock, Reggae, Salsa, House, Techno, Jungle, Drum & Bass, Trance, and Hip Hop rhythms from the depths of his soul to create amazing music.
Even after a near death experience in which his left lung was punctured in
a car accident, Kenny was still blessed to be able to continue to master his craft on a much higher level. Constantly on a rigorous performance schedule, The Human Orchestra has performed across Africa, Japan, Europe, and throughout the United States. He has developed a worldwide fan base, captivating thousands as he shared the stage with Public Enemy, Mindless Self Indulgence, Squarepusher, The X-ecutioners, Regina Bell, The Gap Band, Maxwell, Angie Stone, Stevie Wonder, Vernon Reid, and Take 6, just to name a few.
In addition to his work with Hip Hop, R&B, and Jazz artists, Kenny's repertoire includes incredible performances with The New York Symphony Orchestra at Manhattan Center (conducted by David Eaton), and The King Sey Jung Hall in Seoul Korea with violinist Eugene Park (Sony). He has appeared on CBS This Morning, Good Day New York at Carnegie Hall, and was a three-time consecutive winner on Showtime At The Apollo. Variety Magazine touted Kenny as "the James Brown version of Bobby McFerrin".
The Human Orchestra has also been seen and heard in several nationwide television and radio commercials, all of which he wrote and created. Advertising endorsements include Gatorade, as well as a Burger King spot that was nominated for a Cleo award. Kenny has performed on Much Music, MTV2 and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, amongst others.

this is insane. That symphony music mixed with his beatbox was fire. The conductor was even into it and bobbin his head while conducting the orchestra.

10/15/09 I'm in NYC for the Royal Flush Festival premiering our film, the opening night party starred Kenny Muhammad!
An impressive performer, a musical buffett, brilliant delivery, flawless! He had the whole place moving, grooving & genuinely enthused. When you see & hear him perform you'll recall the great phrase "He who knows it, feels it", and he does indeed!

This Kid is Pure Fire....I love the Creativity...I've never seen anyone do it with an Orchestra....he's Up there with all the Great Artists both R&B and Hip/Hop artists that has performed with Orchestra's......Way to bridge the Old with the New......

He invented snare sound that allows him to breathe when he's making a noise. Hard to make that sound, but it took me like 1 week to learn it. Now I go on for n on without taking a breath. Kenny is a living legend :]
yknow I love it when orchestras combine classic with new...like metal and orchestra or beatbox and orchestra etc etc.

he is the best with basic sounds , percussion and some other stuff and noone can beat him becouse he is God of this noices. there are other beatboxers but they have another style and you can't compare them with Kenny . Kenny is one and special .. Kenny for life !!

Finally a black man that knows what to do with music in this century (like Common). Rap songs these days just don't have the creativity nor class it did in the nineties.
Super human for real hn does bring this bcak to a elemental state bringing emotion back into sound much like how the first music was started not being based on anything but what he feels at that moment nothing else...true music if you would

they do a quite simular style because they used to do stuff together back when learning...its actually wind and water whichw as done by kenny m, while rahzel did fire and earth..good stuff.

did you ever watch him on super humans? didn't think so, because if you did then you would know through the structure of his voice box he can hit different frequencies and speeds than any other human can, there may be others you like more, but none that have the capabilities that this man does.

I don't think that his THAT big, but he is alright. His performance with the orchestra was good - got some talent.
