While I was never able to find a copy of Gems Collection as a kid, I did have both the OG Mega Collection and SA2B for the old Gamecube. Such jam packed games with so much content to sink your teeth into. The museum in Mega Collection and the associated music takes me back to the early 00s like nothing else... me and my brothers would spend hours discussing our fave characters, coming up with routes thru our fave stages and peeping out all of the assorted scans. Say what you will about Sonic these days, but the dude was a gaming titan in the 90s, even into the early 00s as far as I'm concerned. Dope video Wyatt, cheers for the trip down memory lane with this joint!
Now that’s one HELL of a way to review a compilation. Literally analysing each title and how they relate to each other, plus all the context of what this collection meant to us as kids at the time. I’ve written a lot of similar stuff about just how special this disc was for a project I’m working on. Pls god do Gems Collection next 😭

Good retrospective. The only thing I have to say about this collection is Sonic Origins wishes it was as good as the Sonic Mega Collection. 😁
