They do have pink kerosene. They dye it because where I live they don't tax it for home heating and for use in off-road vehicles. So that could be pink dyed kero you have in that heater and it stinks when used in wick type heaters. I have very few places to get clear kero here and it's expensive. Just to let you know.
@@dontknowbrian Here in Pa. also ! Local Sunoco changed over from another Oil Co last season & they sold the red dyed stuff ...It was definitely NOT diesel & it burned as well as the clear stuff the former station sold. Very hard to find KERO @ the pump ⛽ this season ...finally did a month ago ...the other day it went up from $4.25 to $ 6.99 in one shot ! Still , propane is 3-4Xs more than the $7 price ! ! For equivalent burn time / BTU output ....1 gal in KERO heater can last 12 hrs + @ 20,000 BTUs 20lb tank of propane 14 hrs @ 20,000 + BTUs ...getting propane tank filled , approx $30ish dollars !
I tried red dye kerosene in mine. Clogged the wick. I cleaned it out, replaced the wick. Works great now with normal kerosene. Dont use the red kerosene
How do I get replacement brackets that stick out on both sides of kerosene heaters that holds the cage on the front part attaches and then the back part attaches?
I got a Sendoku, does anyone know if that COMES WITH A WICK ALREADY IN IT? I just received it today. Thank you for your video. I'll subscribe. I love how you taught us how to clean them. Very good information.
I have a DH 2 304S model used it once last year brand new going to use it today and it smokes. A lot of black smoke and suck what’s wrong can you help?
after each season you need to do a "dry burn" which means that you empty almost all the Kerosene out and put it outside and let the heater burn until it goes out. It self cleans all of the build up out of the wick. Then you should be good.
Greetings. Tnx for your vids. Can you help me diagnose why my heater will not fire. The tank needs to be full full. Ifit is 3/4 full, the top half of the wick is bone dry. The bottom is soak in kerosene. But the top of the wick is dry. Any ideas? Please help 11:2911:30
@@PetesProjects0 greetings. It is reaching the bottom. The bottom half is soaked soaked. Hence why i am reaching out as it has me stumped. It all just doesnt add up
Missed a massive step putting the wick back on. It has to be put on as if the wick is turned up to the maximum. Otherwise when you press the release button the wick does not go down.
The clear kerosene is referred as K1 KEROSENE K2 Being the red dyed kerosene. There are probably less than a dozen gas stations in the United States that sell K1 at the pump. For a single gallon of (no sulfur) K1 kerosene in a metal jug at Lowe's is $35 per gallon Home depot is $3 less per gallon.
I purchased/pumped 1-K grade water-clear Kerosone at both Sheetz and Rutter's this season. I know a Sunoco in my area that sells it too. Maybe it's a regional thing.
Holy cow guy. Red doent mean it has to be diesel. They dye kerosene the same way they do for diesel for tax reasons! Haha. You do come up in the searched for these devices. And being its a public media you should at leastknow what you are talking about. I mean this isnt political rhetoric
Very aggravating video!!! Lots of extraneous talking ... worst of all ... I had the same 'problem' you had near the end ... with the wick sticking UP .. and not properly retacting when the tilt system is triggered. HOWEVER ... you utterly failed to explain what you did to solve the issue!!! You appeared to simply "skip it" .. and went on. Now I have no idea how to remedy that.

Good to know. Thanks for commenting.

Red-dyed kerosene here in PA. Burns the same as clear. Some say it stinks. But I find the red-dyed kerosene has less fumes.
Red dye is also put in Kerosene to prevent use in meth making. I use it all the time in my heater.
I learn something new every day. Thanks
Nice - Thanks for the video. You may have been able to just empty the old fuel and dry burned the wick, scraped it, and it would have been ok.

Just replace one of those wicks myself a month ago. Even with the manual there are quite a few "damn it Bobby!" moments.
WELL DONE SIR, WELL DONE!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼❤️🇺🇸🫡

All our Kerosene has red dye in it as well.
There’s red dye off-road kerosene as well…

Yes they do.
That’s not diesel, it’s dyed kerosene to keep it out of diesel vehicles. .

I can only speculate. It sounds like the wick is not dropping all the way to the bottom of the tank.

@@dominikcholewka346 If you haven't already done so, I would replace the wick and see what happens.
The fuel in that thing costs more than $5.She did good there pal
I have a red stone heater almost like yours it smokes and it's brandnew
how did you fix the faulty trip? You mention about the 4 wing nuts, but was that it?
Yes, I believe only have 2 wing nuts on it, twisted the mechanism enough to bind up the release.

Thanks for passing that along.
Yeah you’re correct on max 😊
Good video up until you edited out the fix for the stuck wick.

We must be lucky, there are several gas stations here that sell it.
Music to loud
It looks like you're missing a wick cover / bonnet. Or maybe the RMC-95-C2 didn't use one...
LOL... He said knob....LOL
FYI, I buy red kerosene at my local gas station!
