6:53 In Metroid (at least AM2R) the player is allowed to remove upgrades. I’m a little surprised it’s not done in this game. The ability to take off movement and other types of upgrades that could get in the way is nice I’ve listened to the soundtrack for this game for a while and this is the first time I’ve seen gameplay for it lol. The main character is really cute.
Loved this game, wish the pc version had the extra outfits / dialog that the 3ds and psp version had. and I wish the 3ds / psp versions had the metronome / rythm crits at the top of the screen.
Popon actually has one easily missable gameplay difference. Her level 4 drill ability is different, using a regular attack shoots a laser beam straight ahead, while Parin gets the extra homing drill bits.
I found out about this game looking though "rhythm game hybrids", it's definitely one of the most interesting one of those. Enjoyed the video!
An addendum: So I bought a bunch of Trails games. Like, all of them...
So. How’s the trails journey?
Finally Someone decided to make a review for this game
One hell of a pretty underrated gem in the PSP era of gaming.
A Hat in Time seems to be really influenced by Gurumin, at least when it comes to main character and aesthetics.
I just beat Gurumin on the 3DS and wow, you really captured my exact feelings about the game as well lmao
This is one of my favorite games for PSP
(only played the psp version) great music, simple combat and bosses, a little repetitive but still fun.

I love this game even in 2023 even! A true adventure!
Great video ,but why don't you review the legend drill , it's drill can shoot

You have to check out Threads of Fate if you like this games vibe
It's sad that portable version doesn't have rhythm game part

Hard to believe that this came out in 2004
It is, at the very least, one of the more interesting outliers from Falcom.
