I can't believe you did the whole rear subframe in one day nice way to kick ass can't wait to see you drifting.
Can't wait to see you doing tandems with Adam!!!
alberto it actually blows my mind how much you know about cars even about the littlest parts
dude you are such a good mechanic and you work so hard, respect
Big boost you really went all out no slacking and any corner of this build this is good content for people getting into drifting for areas to impove i picked up alot of tips from your video and you explain things well
your welding is beautiful. I want to take welding class in a few years when im a senior because of you :)
Justin Voelker it's well below average mate
Do you agree me Alberto welds are like from factory
definitely dont need classes to do what he does
Upper & Lower control arms look slick asf dude, weight savings must be impressive.
Alberto, you just completed in 2 days what has taken me a month. And im still not done yet...
It really is impressive
#youneedalbertohelp
Yeah having that air hammer man and a good compressor... would have made me changing out my S10 shackle bushings so much smoother. Those things are a #%@&$!
I used a BMW Specific Tool for Subframe and RTAB Bushings, But that air hammer made them look irrelevant. I also cannot perform the Reinforcement Welds myself (I went with AKG stuff btw), and this just shows how streamlined something can be when someone can handle all aspects of the Job. Kudos Alberto!
Hey Alberto! This was an awesome install. The solid bushings from condor speed shop are AMAZING, been running their complete sleeper package for 6 months now, no issues with great performance 😎. Glad to see you're working with them !!
Was the increase in nvh major? and did you get the engine and tranny mounts?
At 6:31 I thought your welder made that noise!
Wraithmeda Berry loooool music timing goals
Wraithmeda Berry lmao me toooo
Wraithmeda Berry i thought that the speed up for the timelapse did it
Wraithmeda Berry LMFAOOO
Llooooooollll ok good I'm not alone
i really enjoy alberto's videos cause he shows everything and it explains it in great detail keep up the good work alberto!!!
yeay 1 step closer to completing the drift car !
Dude the welding was awesome :)
Troy Dirks his welding is well below average
well.... um... im taking welding next semester... after i complete my other degree... then I can judge... but what i was commenting on was... the funky beat music he thru in.. i really liked it.. course i was flying above altitude when i watched it... thanks man :) peace!!
Another well thought out and well presented video. You really are a good watch. Great for Adam to share his space with you. He must really rate and trust you which is a credit to you, and good business sense for him. Can't wait for the next one.
Youve got it backwards, the rear swaybar actually reduces grip, and adds response.
The way a swaybar works is that it actually reduces traction on the inside tire, and overloads the outside tire, resulting in more rotation.
If you were building the car to turn fast times at a track, and keep the rear end planted, you would remove the rear swaybar.
Met and spoke to you at FD ATL - freakin love your vids, keep up the great work. Fav channel on youtube!!!
Great choice on music for welding
Haha I just sprayed root beer all over when you were talking about the subframe bushings and the compressor turned on hahhahaha
Good idea to reinforce around the front bushing ears, cracks tend to start at the ends of the welds and travel around the ear tubes.
Glad to see your build coming together
Awesomeness looks great Alberto. Congratulations dude. It's going to drift amazing.
absolutely one of my favorite channels! keep it up man I love your content
Neat, I didn't know the tubular upper control arm was even a thing.
Hi Alberto, wanted to tell you that I've been drifting and e36 with 511whp for three years now and the problems I ran into after the first two seasons were that the SUBFRAME itself starts to crack, especially the part where diff front bushing is mounted, so I recommend you to strenghten the subframe as well ;) and the old mounts for the rear trailing arms were cut so that you can align more camber in. And one last thing, my persnal experience was that running without the rear swaybar makes the car very unstable, for me I'm running no swaybar at the front because of wisefab, but I have the biggest of the factory swaybars at the rear. Good luck with the car ;)
Yeah, running no swaybars makes the car really twitchy.
Just got done with adams video glad your buddies back
Dude, your vids rule! Nice work as usual.
Quality content as usual keep it up Big boost💪🏻💪🏻
Came out sick looking. I love Condor parts.
These videos on the bmw have been really helpful. Im gettin a e46 that ill be turnin into my proam car for drifting but ive never been a fan of eudm cars so i kno like nothin about bmw's ive had nissans n toyotas my whole life so ive been like strictly jdm. But i heard about the rear subframe issues on them so these videos have been super helpful learning how to fix the issues n with which parts. Urs looks sick btw i love the black/white combo n looks like the perfect setup for me to use on mine. Keep up the good videos Alberto. #bigboost
bvbby92192 everyone hyped up the rear sub. Issues more then they should. My e46 has never had an issue with it. Got 215k hard miles
You did that rear end lightening fast!
You are the man Alberto ! Seriously nice vids as always !
Can you do a how to drift alignment video on Adams s13 or your car. If you know how/ a good way
Great video Alberto! Enjoyed it! can't wait to see it at OSW!
when @13:25 you said "front differential bushing" I was like 'wtf the e36 doesn't have a front diff' and then realised lol
Can I ask about how much did all those parts run you? I will be looking into buying and E36 M3 and will be going turbo so i will need to reinforce the rear like you did. Great work man. Build it with no corners cut.
Christy Howard all of these parts are sponsored, but I listed each part link and brand in the video description. Hand picked the best parts to make the ultimate setup.
the lower control arms are intentionally weak, so in an accident they take the brunt of the accident and don't damage the subframe, diff, or floor.
They work to I've smashed mine twice now but it drives better with sold ones
finally Adam is back
Looks awesome. Can't wait to see you send it!
Should had subscribed long ago! Do you think that you can make a video fixing the jack spots? I got the rears rusty asf lol thanks for your time💯🔥
Holy moly. Thanks now i can start do it on my own e36 :-)
Alberto, Ask condor for the metal sleeve inserts that have the same small hole front and rear. They emailed me some time back now about a revised set they made that had smaller holes in the front because with the e46 they made the front holes bigger. I Installed the smaller inserts and it made the whole car tight again. Hope this helps
The BMW looks really good in that thumbnail
I really hope to see you at next month's osw event. I'll be there all day for my second event ever. as long as I get the subframe reinforced in my e46
I did my rear trailing arm bushings, reinforcement plate for struct tower and etc. cool to see whats the high end upgrades for rear
ah im so jealous right now! the e36 is coming together really nicely! doing my rear wheel bearings this week and im not looking forward to it lol
Looks good man
7:40 Alberto: and you can stitch weld the sides
1.5 seconds of silence
Adam: HGBGHTXTGYG!
your bushings have a aggressive handling style
Hi Alberto, im a big fan of you, great work, keep it up man. Your videos are really full of knowledge, which I really like.I also really dig your E36, and because I have one too, I would like to ask you what type of engine mounts are you running and if you know about any solid motor mounts for a 4 cyl (m42b18). Thank you and keep up your great work man. Cheers
I looked on the website you linked and I don't see the trailing arm bushings. I would like to buy some, but they don't have them on their site. What's up with that? Thanks for the videos, I'm trying to get my E36 ready to drift as well
Looks good. But wont the coilover setup crush the metal at the shock mounts? It's very thin metal compared to the oe shock mounts.
Keep it up, buddy!! Car is awesome!!!!
Always great vids
i can't wait more ! i want to see this e36 drifting :D
maybe next year pal...maybe
hi man
i really like your conversion the rear springs. i living in Brazil
please put the link, where are you buying this kit to conversion of rear spring for coilover
thanks a lot
you car is very nice
congratulations
Excellent video! Very helpful.
Really useful vid, thanks alberto
Looks dope man
Awesome work Alberto, would love to get some of your fans to see my latest videos from Japan. Im sure they would love it
Thanks for the upload great work on video and upgrade
Yay! Been awaiting an update, Alberto :-D
Hey Alberto I could really use a dual caliper bracket build video. I know your busy but I can't find a proper way to do it. Thanks
This car is going to be so legit
Love from Greece
yesss favorite time of day
I think it would be cool if you did a time stamp of how long it actually takes to do these installls
continue with the great vid man cant wait to see that beast drift xD #BigBoost
I cant wait S15 videos/2JZ videos
Your videos? I love them...
I approve of the montage music!!!
You should create a wheel well for your car with all the aftermarket mods lifted
Are you getting your own shop? What about a truck to tow the BMW?
Robert Hale he had a shop before i dont think he wants another one.
Juan Santamarua yeah he does he talked about it in an older video
he has his exploder to tow with
Please share your thoughts after removing upper control arm and using coilover shocks in the rear, i mean shock with the spring
Alberto, can you give some info on which gas and metal you used to weld the plates to the car? Also what diff ratio were you running ?
keep your videos like this and you will be all good big boost.....;)
Yo alberto i want you to do my exhaust on my 07 335i trying to do some fabrication and your the perfect guy for this, ill drive to you and pay you off course, lmk
Deeeeam can't wait to start working on my car
Love your videos there awesome your awesome and your car is awesome!!!
Your a legend big boost 😆😆
We loves what you did my friend but don't push yourself too hard, get some rest and let the magic happen later lol
Tried to find the upper rear control arms couldn't find it. I need them in my life!!!
What's up man just wondering did u use 4 of the same control arms for upper and lower ?
I know this is off topic. Can a fwd SR20DET be swapped into a rwd Nissan hardbody? Also what exactly would need to be done.
Looks like he's actually using 2 sets of nerp lower control arms. The upper arms are chambered.
You're now putting the full sprung weight of that corner on the bottom single bolt of the coilover mount which will likely shear with enough abuse
GonePro27 Dude builds formula D race cars. I think he'll be okay. It's not like it's going to be done after this either way if he needs to beef anything else up.
Many many cars do the same thing. It's fine
Never seen the bolt snap on any car (other than crashes) but what does happen is the topmount deforming and cracking. Thats why he installed the reinforcement plate. Would be the best to connect it to the rollcage
How long would the reinforcement plates hold up for a daily drifter?? I'm thinking of getting an e46 in the future. But always great videos!!
forever, as long as they dont rust.
Zero to hero what mainly causes the cracks? Just due to worn out bushings?
Ricardo Castillo old metal and high horsepower put more stress on those point that cause it to crack mainly
RezordaxxNL so if I'm able to find an e46 328i that has no cracking, should I still worry about it since it's pushing high horsepower like an m3? It'll moslty be used as daily driver and a few clutch kicks here and their.
Poor design, with the metal not strengthened enough. A stock 328i should be okay if its just a daily
12:30 that poor glove has outlived its usable life
Plot twist Alberto moved into Adams house and has been whacking it on the couch all summer
Samuel Miller While using Adams gaming setup to drift on 😂
Samuel Miller W 😂😂😂👏🏽
Wraithmeda Berry He's got kiki
Swifty Jdm 😔
why wearing Nicole knickers on his head lol
Can't wait to hear that beemer rip
use one of albertos old wheel bearring to make the table spin
hi i have an e36 can i remove the sway bar for daily driving ? i drive sometimes at 100 mph so would it matter or no issues
is there a vid that covers the front overhaul of the suspension? abd the nerptech lower control arms did you order 2 sets and used it for both upper and lower?
Can't wait for car to be sliding!
I read a bunch of comments but i didnt see. Are those trailing arm inserts the offset ones or regular?
I tryed in other videos and its fine
Alberto, I am curious as to why you didn't use oem reinforcement plates?
What do you think of the control arms as in for harshness and road noise and do you think they last long
you could have used some grease or something like that for the bushings :)
Why didn't you use adjustable arms where the spring cup use to be. Means can get full ability to track the car
You welded the RTAB reinforcement plates in wrong (not enough). Weld the bolt bungs to the plate. These are what fail and pull out.
Yep, I thought I was the only one that caught it. First and only comment I sent about it so far lol
