@@RINAisNerdI remember when the first gameplay for Frontiers was released, and everyone automatically assumed it was going to be bad. What is it they say about not learning from history?
I think it's kind-of a good idea about the way Shadow attacks in mid-air in this new game, because it looks more like he's actually using his iconic Chaos Control ability to get to the enemies so they'll have been attacked by him instead of him using the spin-ball homing attack move to do that. I'm looking forward to playing this game, and I've never had any of the videogame consoles that the original Generations game was made to be playable on, so I've never gotten to play that version of it.
I love watching sonic fans complain about linear level design when all their favorite games have very linear level design lol Saying this as a sonic fan who loves unleashed and gens, I just think it’s important to remember that boost gameplay really only supports so much creative level design
Well, i saw what they did with open world and i can't say i'm a fan. In the end Sonic was always a "linear game with branching path"... @@snakey888 true, I love the stages from generations the most, but the least linear they get is 1 of 3 paths that take you to the same exact checkpoint

@@LobotomyDCI have no shame in saying yes! A ‘bad’ game can be fun one It’s easy to be cynical about Sonic fans having to ‘fix everything’ using mods, but I think that’s a testament to just how cool Sonic is as a character
Man people are already complaining about Sonic X Shadow Generations even though the trailer released a few days ago. Some of these problems that people have and I do too. The one thing about Sonic X Shadow Generations it doesn’t look anything like Sonic Forces but a few things look like Frontiers. I people are saying that because how Sonic X Shadow Generations looks like a boost formula game to people and the shadow design looks like Forces Shadow. I hope we figurer out if Sonic X Shadow Generations is like Frontiers gameplay or Forces gameplay because that will be controversial for a while and SEGA will definitely show more stuff for the game, and it will get more controversial. Overall I don’t think the controversy isn’t that bad but I have some flaws too.
I just wish they made the shadow stages like the og sonic generation stages it’s like the new boosting and new movement just isn’t that good. It’s not that it’s bad but it’s just really not as good as the sonic generation and sonic unleashed the movement feels so slow. Listen no hate to Sonic frontiers and sonic forces but the boosting and movement feels so slow. That’s my opinion and I really just don’t like how they’re re using it in the 3d sonic games. I think that’s why they’re kinda avoiding 3d sonic like we’ve gotten a lot of 2d sonic games recently.
I don't have any issue with the Shadow portion of the game, it's obvious it was made with the modern mindset of how a Sonic game is made and that's fine. I just dislike the idea of Sonic Generations being remastered and that I'd probably need to buy it just to play the Shadow part. It'll come out full price even though at least half of the game already released more than a decade ago, and we don't even know how worth the Shadow part of the game will be. Like, it could easily just be Episode Shadow all over again.
People are complaining that they used Shadow’s model from forces? There is literally no differences between Generations Shadow model and Forces Shadow model, aside from the textures that cover it. The game looks good. At this point they’d complain that the grass in Green Hill is the wrong shade of green. Hey, Spyro fans complained about the grass being the wrong shade of green in Reignited Trilogy, so… Anyway, Sonic fans should learn to put their phones down and go outside into the scary outdoors, where you find terrifying stuff like the sun or real grass and… GASP! Real people! (Insert horror movie SFX)
The only thing that makes me mad about it is price. 60 bucks for remaster with a new playable character is way too much. It should be at least 40 dollars, since original Generations on Steam is 20 dollars. This way I will need to wait for sale to buy it.
Yea I totally agree. My biggest concern is whether or not there will be enough content to justify a $60 price tag. Sonic Superstars was definitely not a $60 game
if it is using frontiers physics, i'm hoping it will be more like the open zone physics (and hopefuly the customizable handling) than the cyberspace physics
I'm optimistic about this remaster. The one thing I'm hearing about that I don't like at all is the price tag. It said somewhere that this game would be priced at $70. I don't know about you, but I don't want to pay full price for a remaster considering the last two remasters we got (Colors Ultimate and Origins) were $40. Despite this, though, I think this game looks really good, and I hope it can do HUGE numbers for SEGA and Sonic Team.
Something I've noticed is that the backgrounds of the Shadow stages, while pretty, do seem more simplistic then Gens. The Ark stage is in space so I won't fault them there, but the City area's background feels pretty copy-pasted. I hope that ain't the case for all Shadow's stages. I'm not expecting this to have the same flair as Gens with it's Camera, reimagined level ideas, level design and basic animations, but those cinematic shots like Shadow kicking the big missile and punching the Biolizard give me hope that they'll at least be some of it here. At the end of the day, I'm excited, though out of love for the original Generations, I hope this can really feel like an expansion of it. The "Dark" story of it, if you will.
10:11 trying to slowly platform (specifically in this area of chem plant you’re playing) is very excruciating yes (was my the most traumatic moment of my childhood, playing this part of the level at 5 years old), but after having played it so much trying to figure out the fastest way to get through it without, figuring out all the right techniques for that area so i can get through the level without getting submerged in water (for the achievement), it became my favorite part of the level. (and it’s my favorite level in the game, layout-wise) this isn’t trying to argue, i completely agree with you, it would probably be a LOT better and easier with the frontiers gameplay. especially with all the modifications you can make to best suit your style. just saying how fun it is when you get the hang of it :)
I'm so glad black doom is back I'm genuinely so hyped for the game, I dont really care about its flaws I'm just glad doom is back (hopefully in a big role)
Cyberspace with spin dash and power boost is better than generation. Overall mechanics and platforming skill is far more satisfying in frontiers than generation. Generations great as a boost game but frontiers Cyberspace feels as if it take sonics mechanics to the next level were boost is just one aspect of his character and not his entire identity which just leaves so much more potential on the table overall vs generations.
You cant really blame them after the rushed turdfests Sonic Team produced all these years. Its practically part of their branding now. Of course, Hardlight making an above average Sonic game versus what Sonic Team can churn out didnt help.
This is the same situation when sonic unleashed came out. A lot of people complain about the werehog and unleashed gameplay and now everyone loves it. Sometimes you can please everyone
Nope, even as someone who isn't bothered by it I don't see anyone liking the werehog gameplay. Also Forces was arguably the biggest dissapointment in the franchise and anything that comes remotely close to looking like it will raise suspicion and for good reason. These aren't the same situations at all.
I'm not surprised at all that they would be reusing assets, given how quick this was announced and is coming out it makes sense. If it plays like Frontiers and they had time to make some improvements and add some variation to differentiate Shadow's gameplay from Sonic's I'll enjoy it. I liked Cyberspace fine once I got used to it, had a lot of fun with some of the levels. I'm assuming the addition of Shadow gameplay segments will be relatively short, I'm not expecting a full length campaign, but we'll see. Maybe we'll be pleasantly surprised. I kinda can't be mad about anything because I'm pleased to be getting anything at all Shadow related so soon after Frontiers.
This man is having a death wish with his honest hot takes on Sonic Generations physics in comparison to Sonic Frontiers, and I agree with him. This is something I’ve been saying since Sonic Forces actually and people get really mad, the only reason some people “ prefer” Generations physics is because they’ve played the game so much they’ve gotten used to them, not because Sonic necessarily controls actually better than in Sonic Frontiers.
Man, I hate people who just complain, like bro. You all complained about Dream Team, it wasn’t that bad, some complained about Frontiers, it was one of the greatest games ever. Just stfu and be patient.
I mostly agree with your points on why the frontiers physics is actually pretty cool and bearable but the fact is that not everyone knows how to do movement tricks such as the homing dash to traverse in the game unlike in generations where max speed is achieved almost instantaneously and platforming is easier. Also, the frontiers homing attack completely kills the pace of the game so get that garbage out . Maybe a mix of both the hedgehog engines would be nice instead :)
I feel like if Shadow's story is being built right next to Gens, I don't see why they can't take inspiration from their past levels. I'm trying to think in the minds of the developers. We attempted to make more use of Sonic's mobility in The Final Horizon, and now we have that and the Gens levels sitting right there. The most logical scenario is that the just put them together, so they know what to do.
I'm actually excited for the game. The trailer got me hyped for the game and I'm surprised to see they're bringing more levels from even the 3DS version. Plus I'll finally have the chance to play it on Switch
I think the weirder part of the Generations remaster trailer is that the Sonic parts look like they're running on 2010 Generations tech while Shadow looks like its running on Frontiers tech. It feels like they remastered Generations and stapled Frontiers DLC on it. I'm not opposed to Shadow having different physics than Sonic (in fact, I think it's a great way to differentiate their gameplay) but I hope the quality is evenly distributed
As a sonic fan for almost 25 years, i can say I love frontiers and generations. Even if i end up getting it on a deal if the sonic team tries like they have been over the last few years i know ill enjoy it
For Shadow, the concern I do have is the lead developer who made Forces lvl design n said "Boost like a maniac" is now behind the Shadow dlc. I hope he learns his mistake from Forces n take notes from U3 cyberspace n Dream Team lvl design or otherwise we might be facing another lackluster boost like a maniac game. I don't mind the game looking like it retakes stuff from Frontiers, especially if they reused n improve good stuff from Frontiers like spindash, combat, n Super Sonic boss fight but Shadow. As for Gens remaster, my concern for that side is why are they calling that a remaster even tho it looked the same from OG Gens? Are they hiding the graphic changes for Gens or they are just calling it a remaster for more sells? I don't mind Gens looking the same cuz the game only needed a port while other mid 2000s Sonic games deserves a remake/remaster. Overall what I really hope they don't do is price this as $60. Unless they show what they improve for Gens (Graphically/content) n state the length of Shadow's dlc will be as long as Frontiers, this game at least should be about $30-40 if they want more causals onboard especially after the Sonic Movie 3 hypetrain
Yes i get that Shadow's campaign isn't the same as Generations. Different graphics, different combat and more but does it mean it isnt fun? Hell no, the bossfights, the stages all look amazing in my oppinion, this game desserves reapect. Plus if i see a score bellow 77 on metacritic then those critics have no mind to work with
My only concern for Sonic x Shadow Generation is how many stages they decide to give Shadow. Cause so far from what is shown, what looks like two stages may be a single stage with a Phantom Ruby like transition effect in it. Though there is one thing I hope is added to this version of Generations, and that would be IF they add the 3DS content or not.
Look, these are valid criticisms. We shouldn't fault people for being skeptical, because they truly do have a right to BE skeptical. We point these things out because we care, and want the game to be in the best quality it can be. Give these people a break
@@SonicHubYT And I appreciate that you did! This comment was more towards the people who are going along with the "Twitter Sonic Community back at it again", when in reality this is where I feel it's very valid
No their not their based off of what amounts to 30 seconds of gameplay and assumptions based off what they THINK they see. But the fact is we don't have near enough gameplay yet to get a good grasp of it and no that one twitter dumbass saying he can tell isn't enough. It's all too easy to manipulate data to fit your narrative and Twitter is infamous for it.
Strange, because the guy who showed the comparisons, he ignored the homing attack Shadow used at the Space Colony Ark, in which was at a much faster rate.
I'm so getting Sonic x Shadow Generations. I saw some people complaining about Sega is doing a remake for Generations when those same people was actually asking for it. Also I always see some fans complaining about linear levels but their favorite games has that.
I fail to understand why people complain about sonic games, Objectably one of my favorite franchises. I saw very little issue with Forces and I thought Frontiers was Peak Sonic for the last almost 15 years. Why complain about a small feature in specific areas when the rest of the game is smooth as fuck. Its a platformer and people over here are expecting the game to be on par with functions from games like Witcher or something.
My counter argument to every "Forces level design" accusation is that every extended linear part of the level design shows Doom's eye either talking to Shadow or approaching from the distance as if he's about to talk to Shadow. If you look at the wall boosting part of the trailer where it just looks like a straight like you can see Dooms eye right about to come up and talk to Shadow. Seams in the level design for more detailed character animations during dialogue is step up from the voice communicators we got in Forces so it's a W in my book
9:25 - 10:33 I can see what you mean. However, what we got in Generations is the traditional method of 2D platforming from classic Sonic eras blended with the modern Sonic. The same can be said for the 2D modern Sonic games for the DS such as Sonic Rush series and Colors. While the controls for the 2D portion from Generations doesn't bother me, we can clearly see it's become outdated. The new controls we've recently gotten for Frontiers 2D sections do improve the 2D platforming. Maybe they could provide a more "modern" updated controls for Modern Sonic that utilizes what Frontiers had. That way we can get the best of both worlds.
Can we PLEASE abandon the blocky design of structures? Seriously the city section just looks like a bunch of stretched-out cubes with window textures on them
It never ceases to amaze me how many people will bring up the lack of drift in Frontiers as a negative but then never use the objectively more responsive slide/boost and just smack into walls without wondering if they're doing something wrong.
I wish they would focus on more than just Shadow. I want some side stories and levels with other characters going through their past like Tails, Knuckles, Silver, etc. Also the gameplay kind of reminds me of Sonic Forces and they need Sonic Frontiers physics so that you can have more maneuverability in the game.
They have'nt focused on Shadow in years what are you even talking about? Tails, Knuckles, and Amy JUST had some focus in Frontiers ontop of that. Including getting to be made playable with the promise we'll see more of that, hell Cream just had a game focusing on her that people say is good and she has'nt been used in god knows how long.
@@snakey888 but if they give everyone else the boost to win gameplay then Sonic wouldn’t feel special and wouldn’t be considered as “ the fastest thing alive “
@@iceman92211 In all good Sonic games every character has effectively the same top speed and access to same acceleration techniques. Even Frontiers and Dream Team gave everyone boost in order to have a uniform gameplay style. So it is literally not a problem. What is a problem is the messes that we got in games like sa1 - 06.
I was so excited to see Shadow in a "new game" again that I didn't stop to think about the controls. Man , I come from the Dreamcast Sonic games (even though I played games in the Sega Genesis, I believe?) and the Adventure controls were (to me) fantastic. The modern controls are too speed focused and you have nearly no control over the character. I struggled with Frontiers controls, even though they were immensely better than Unleashed's. Now we gotta wait and see how the Shadow story will play, and let's hope that they improve as well the controls for the remaster of Generations (one of the best Sonic games I've played, despite missing the Adventure control scheme). Thanks for the video! 🤩
I feel like i inspired this video. I know i didn't but i did say the people were hating on this game during your live. Anyway keep up the amazing work Chris.
Silver needs his own game. The game could be about how the future slowly went to ruin because of Iblis' release. Then the ending of the game could him going to the future to fix things. The ending of Silver's game obviously leads into the beginning of Sonic 06. I understand alot of people hate 06 for various reasons... but I think most people can agree the general idea of the game and story writing was pretty good. I feel like if they made a solo game for Silver, and then came out with a revamped version of Sonic 06 (with of course all the bugs fixed out... and no Elise kissing Sonic's corpse at the end) they would make some serious bank... at the very least, I would play those games 😅
I actually didnt want generations to have a remake because I thought it was gonna be like colors ultimate where it barely has any differences (I still like colors ultimate) but when I saw there was gonna be a whole new story I actually accepted this the sonic fanbase are just ungrateful and cleary never gone through pain of making sonic game and spening how many millions of dollars on it like who the hell nitpicks SMALL similarities LIKE WHO CARES IF THE JUMP IS FROM FORCES IT DOESNT RUIN THE WHOLE GAME WHO CARES IF THERES QUOTE ON QUOTE "CYBERSPACE MOVEMENT" ITS LITERALLY JUST THE SMALLEST NITPICKS LIKE THERE ISNT EVEN A RELEASE DATE OR A SECOND TRAILER AND WE BARELY SAW CRAP AND THE FANBASE IS ALREADY CRITICISING IT LIKE ITS JUST A FRICKING JUMP STYLE WHO CARES ABOUT THE JUMP THATS LIKE SAYING "OH THE RUN ANIMATION IS THE SAME AS FORCES SO ITS BAD" LIKE WHO CARES!!!!!!!! sorry about that rant I just think the fanbase needs to grow up and accept what sega makes for us feel free to reply your opinions but dont make it stupid or dont insult me Edit: the only flaw I have with it but I kinda cant criticise it yet but still is the price I feel like its gonna cost alot like 50 pounds in the UK and 60 dollars in the US cuz generations is 15 pounds on steam and 20 dollars in the US but we will just have to see I cant fully criticise the price until it releases
Agreed. I would understand if the game was out because we can actually play it and judge it, but dude, it’s been less than a week and they’re already doing this?? Already putting the whole game down because of *3 second gameplay* featuring Shadow jump. It’s total overreaction and it’s just stupid.
@@AYTM1200 Yes that's true but keep in mind that one, the is probably not finished and two we only saw a few seconds of gameplay so we cannot judge correctly cause we don't have enough footage
@@AYTM1200I get that, but dude, over 3 seconds? At that point it’s just petty. The game probably isn’t even halfway done and we got over half a year until it comes out. Saying that the whole thing will suck just because of 3 seconds of gameplay and Shadow jumping once is just plain ridiculous. That’s like getting mad because Sonic’s spines are a pixel shorter than you wanted in a game. Oh wait, most of the fandom got mad about that too. You guys are so hellbent trying to nitpick the game that you can’t see anything else over a jump animation. We’ve barely seen anything to solidify anything. Like atleast wait for a second trailer? If y’all were gonna act like this over 3 freaking seconds, I would rather them not post the trailer.
@anthonyyawtwumasimensah197 I know we're paying for it but we still barely saw anything like as much as we know there's gonna be generations with a new story
Does Sonic community needs to screw off? They're not realizing the main point of creating these games. The whole point of creating these games is so that it's fun and half the time people are more thinking about all the problems about it. Then what can be fun about it which inevitably makes it even worse. The game is never actually. That bad forces is actually not a bad game at all, like quite like it and it's because I see the good in the games rather than everything that's wrong with it. The problem is that people are often thinking about the problems with certain things rather than looking at the good things at it. And that's also kind of what happened with Sonic 06
My issue is that Sonic Generations was a game all about celebrating the classic and modern parts of the franchise... And Shadow has no classic incarnation. He's modern only. They could have added an extra story with classic and modern Tails, who were already in the game, but no they instead went with Blandy McEdgelord.
they hadnt mastered the high speed platforming when generations came out, they are really close with frontiers, but they also took there time with frontiers too.
I was raised on Sonic games and Sonic Generations, by far the best game I ever played and to hear that I'll be playing it again on newgen along with a completely new story featuring one of my favourite characters ever Shadow the Hedgehog, brought me immense joy. I believe this game is going to be incredible and I can't wait to relive my childhood game :)
I don’t know why sonic fans are mad of the Sonic Forces and Sonic Frontiers animations in Shadow in SonicXShadowGens but it’s just probably because they can’t make better animations so they just used from different games.
Maybe because of what they came to expect from Sonic Team. Frontiers remade some beloved stages from previous games and either kept them samey or made them worse. It didnt help that assets from earlier games were reused in Hyrule. I mean Starfall Islands.
I criticize what I don't like but I'm not THAT critical. Criticizing things is good, specially seeing how the Frontiers team was willing to listen to the fans, but assuming a game will be bad based on a 5 second video is kinda dumb imo, no offense. People said the same about Frontiers, and that is one of my top 5 3d games. Realistically, Shadow Generations physics will be a tweaked version of Frontiers, worst case scenario they'll just port Frontiers physics and call it a day. Personally, Frontiers physics aren't the best but it isn't awful either, so as long the level design is good, it's not the end of the world for me, but yeah, they totally should tweak Frontiers physics.
as long as sonic and shadow are able to keep their momentum going the faster they go, the better, generations had great flow. forces was slow and some of the levels were broken between the cutscenes. that really broke the flow of the levels, beat the levels in extremely short times was really fun and made it really replayable. I just want to see this game be a Sonic Generations Deluxe.
The gameplay doesnt make me nervous, its the number of stages, how long will the story be?? is it going to be as short as Sonic Forces or will it be worth the price?
Since its generations I wouldn’t expect Shadows levels to exceed the games release date of 2011 unless they plan on adding more levels in the main game. Otherwise I would assume Shadows levels will come from SA2, Shadow The Hedgehog, Heroes, & Sonic 06.
Two words; Sonic Superstars. That game utterly dropped the ball and it had a lot of hype behind it. Sonic Team screwed up royally again and it's beginning to get the fandom into the tired ole' Sonic Cycle again. The saddest part about all of this isn't even that Sonic Team doesn't care. They want to because Frontiers proved that they do but the biggest issue is always going to be SEGA never giving them enough time, money or manpower to generate at least DECENT content. See Nintendo's recent treatment of Game Freak and the Pokemon franchise for an eerily similar situation. These game companies are getting greedy and it's bleeding into their games.
@SonicHubYT I know right? They don't even need to include all the modern Boost mechanics and whatever else, I just want expansive, well-designed levels and a full cast of playable characters. Heck, imagine if they combined SA 1's open world with SA 2's Cast and a soundtrack reminiscent of both games. They could make a super in-depth Chao Garden, and that alone would have me playing the game for *months*, a modern-looking Sonic Adventure would honestly revitalize the series probably even more than Frontiers did.
The main problems i see as to why they cant make a Sonic Adventure level quality of game: A)Sonic Team keeps resetting the game after the last one. They keep adding uninspired ideas that had nothing to do with the last game. They should be building on the positives of the last one while fine tuning the game. Then they blame "troubled development and crunch time" to garner sympathy. B)Theyre bleeding talents. And they dont work well with other game devs. Sonic Mania was great, but it seemed as if Sonic Team's ego took a huge hit. In the development of Origins, it sounded like they were sabotaging the talented group they contracted (just like when they were under Naka), same with Big Red Button whose main members included... The guys who worked on the cancelled Sonic X-Treme.
i dont think its gonna be like Frontiers, but also keep in mind that Shadow gameplay has always been different from Sonic gameplay where Shadow is most focused on combat and Sonic is focused on speed
god i just want the adventure games remastered or adventure 3. seeing the ark n biolizard in HD is beautiful it would be a homerun to remake/remaster them 🤦🏼♂️
So people saying they are upset with the level design in frontiers are actually just upset with the physics of cyberspace. Because it does control so stiffly. What it boils down to is them not liking the physics, since the level design is just previous sonic games, which they more than likely praised.
I'm that one weirdo who is happy to take a shadow reskin in any game, to the point where I enjoyed 06 because it gave so much character representation (for better and for worse) I'll take any chance I can get to play as the edgelord of the series with a big smile on my face, and it's nice to be able to play the console version of generations, I would be happy to see them give unleashed this kind of treatment as well, especially with shadow since that character is literally built for a dual playstyle game.
I feel you on that bouncing and air dash in frontier’s 2D but ngl you could of easily boosted under water in that part of Chem Plant, the boost’s launch would of gotten you to hover over the water allowing you to RUN ON WATER unlike in Frontiers where it lacks that ability, one that’s a very obvious ability Sonic can do, I feel like we should get a mix of the good qualities for a better game in the future
So, Sonic fans are hating on Sonic X Shadow Generations? I suppose this means I'm not a Sonic fan then. Ah well, not like I'm missing much from the larger part of the community.
But sonic generations is not forces when the fucking forces idle wasn't in the original generations game so everyone cut the fuck out the complaint is been annoying about the forces idle give it a break

Be happy if I knew shadow game come out
@@RockLobster383 We've literally only gotten one 2d game what're you yapping about
I don't have any issue with the Shadow portion of the game, it's obvious it was made with the modern mindset of how a Sonic game is made and that's fine. I just dislike the idea of Sonic Generations being remastered and that I'd probably need to buy it just to play the Shadow part. It'll come out full price even though at least half of the game already released more than a decade ago, and we don't even know how worth the Shadow part of the game will be. People are complaining that they used Shadow’s model from forces? There is literally no differences between Generations Shadow model and Forces Shadow model, aside from the textures that cover it.
Then preorder it and go at your pace paying for it, that's how I do new games these days and it's so much less stressful.
Steam describes the shadow gameplay as a whole new campaign
Price wasn't confirmed yet? Why you complaining.
The price ain't confirmed though???
if it is using frontiers physics, i'm hoping it will be more like the open zone physics (and hopefuly the customizable handling) than the cyberspace physics
I think this game will be amazing, hopefully it lives up to all of our expectations, and the price is worth it. Also nice video!
Price and content is something I’m also concerned about, I hope that gens can get additional content and the shadow story is enough content also
"SONIC X SHADOW GENERATION and Knuckles?" Got me😂😂😂😂
And what does that do to you 😢
Shadow's story needs to have him fight the final boss as super if they can ever include that like in his original own game
4:12 ah yes, the spongebob toilet EMOJI.
this is what happens when you upload daily. you have no time to fix the script, so you instead just leave it in lol.
Agreed, I just hope the $60 price tag can be justified with the amount of content in it.
Those are just placeholders, plus that was a cinematic they don't give the full scope

(and it’s my favorite level in the game, layout-wise)
this isn’t trying to argue, i completely agree with you, it would probably be a LOT better and easier with the frontiers gameplay. especially with all the modifications you can make to best suit your style. just saying how fun it is when you get the hang of it :)
Sonic frontiers used the forces idle as a Placeholder but that got changed later, so i think these are placeholders

I loved generations so damn much when i was younger and im so excited for this and not worried at all
This is the same situation when sonic unleashed came out. A lot of people complain about the werehog and unleashed gameplay and now everyone loves it. Sometimes you can please everyone
What? No one loves the Werehog still
Nope, even as someone who isn't bothered by it I don't see anyone liking the werehog gameplay.

I can see what you mean.
As long as shadow isn't a complete edge lord where he only spouts nonsense like " i hate you sonic.... because i hate you😡" then i will be fine.

Sorry kid that’s never gonna happen since this game is an “ only Sonic “ game and has the boost to win gameplay

I Don't care what these people say, I'm still it buying anyway. I don't even have Sonic Generations.
Sonic fans can’t hold on to a single opinion for longer than 3 days, istg
I don’t know what to say till the game comes out and more trailers
they hadnt mastered the high speed platforming when generations came out, they are really close with frontiers, but they also took there time with frontiers too.
I think the shadow campaign is gonna control like sonic dream team.
As a massive Sonic fan I'm just now hearing about this game for the first time.
The gameplay doesnt make me nervous, its the number of stages, how long will the story be?? is it going to be as short as Sonic Forces or will it be worth the price?
Same! My biggest concern is getting ripped off for $60 for a 30-40$ game lol
Since its generations I wouldn’t expect Shadows levels to exceed the games release date of 2011 unless they plan on adding more levels in the main game.
Otherwise I would assume Shadows levels will come from SA2, Shadow The Hedgehog, Heroes, & Sonic 06.
Why are people so picky I just wanna enjoy new sonic games without god damn
Morons complaining on twitter!
Tbh I think sxs generations is gonna be good, although it will fuse frontier's gameplay with generations' gameplay basically less speedy hall ways.
Honestly why can't they just make another Sonic Adventure game? Pretty sure all sonic fans would be ecstatic with that.
I would be lol
@SonicHubYT I know right? They don't even need to include all the modern Boost mechanics and whatever else, I just want expansive, well-designed levels and a full cast of playable characters. Heck, imagine if they combined SA 1's open world with SA 2's Cast and a soundtrack reminiscent of both games.
They could make a super in-depth Chao Garden, and that alone would have me playing the game for *months*, a modern-looking Sonic Adventure would honestly revitalize the series probably even more than Frontiers did.
The main problems i see as to why they cant make a Sonic Adventure level quality of game:
A)Sonic Team keeps resetting the game after the last one.
I mean, I liked the Cyberspace levels so... 🤷🏾♂️
i dont think its gonna be like Frontiers, but also keep in mind that Shadow gameplay has always been different from Sonic gameplay where Shadow is most focused on combat and Sonic is focused on speed
god i just want the adventure games remastered or adventure 3. seeing the ark n biolizard in HD is beautiful it would be a homerun to remake/remaster them 🤦🏼♂️
We will die waiting, but maybe we can at least die hopeful. 😔
So people saying they are upset with the level design in frontiers are actually just upset with the physics of cyberspace. Because it does control so stiffly. What it boils down to is them not liking the physics, since the level design is just previous sonic games, which they more than likely praised.
I have literally not seen a single person complain about Sonic X Shadow Generations.
Must not be looking very hard then considering there’s specific examples in the video
I heard that song frontier is also ran on hedgehog engine 2, which is what shadow generations will be running on
So, Sonic fans are hating on Sonic X Shadow Generations?
I suppose this means I'm not a Sonic fan then.
Ah well, not like I'm missing much from the larger part of the community.
If anything the larger community is on RUclips IMO twitter is just a loud micro niche of people
But sonic generations is not forces when the fucking forces idle wasn't in the original generations game so everyone cut the fuck out the complaint is been annoying about the forces idle give it a break
Game not even out, barely announced, and people already bitching..
Should have put air quotes around “fans” in the title
