  • When it comes to protecting yourself and your loved ones, nothing quite compares to a polymer framed, striker fired micro compact 9mm pistol. If you're in the market for an EDC, getting an FN Reflex, or a SIG P365 is a complete no brainer.
But snub nose revolvers can’t be overlooked. These little powerhouses pack a punch that'll make a bad guy twice. With their unwavering reliability, ease of use, and lightning-fast response, these small-framed revolvers are a perfect fit for your holster.
And because revolvers don’t have a slide, if they ever fail to fire, you only need to pull the trigger again until they do. Granted, they have terrible ammo capacity, but the .357 Magnum is nothing to scoff at, and there are plenty of snub nose models these days that have a cylinder capacity of 7 or 8 rounds, making them more appealing.
In this video, I’ll talk about what I believe are the Best Snub Nose Revolvers for self defense.

In a self defense situation where stress is high and fear is present. Revolvers are the weapon of choice due to their ease of use. Simi-automatic weapons in high stress situations require skill in handling like switching off the safety, ensuring a round is chambered beforehand, and proper firing techniques. No limp wristing. Too much to remember when your life is on the line. Because of capacity, semi-automatic weapons in a war situation is best. For self defense, revolvers are best.

A 357. Mag is too, too much recoil for a snub nose revolver,
I was hoping the 327 Federal made your list
With several in my inventory the Ruger LCR has the best trigger and return to battery control of any of them.
For those that don’t know you can shoot everything from 32 short, 32 S&W Lo g, 32 H&R Mag and of course the 327 Fed Mag out of the same platform.
Having the ability to go from true stopping power to plinking fun makes the 327 by any , maker the right choice for me.
Forget those ridiculously priced high end revolvers. For us on a budget
Taurus has a 327 Fed for about $350.00 all day long

Don’t worry your balls will drop one day. Also, how you gonna suggest 327 over 357 based on price range in any way? Sure it fires 4 different cartridges but good luck finding them in any consistency on top of all four of said cartridges always costing nearly $1-$1.50 each. 😂 Plinking😂 😂 I plink with my 460 mag by these price standards.

I have a slim frame; working in warm to hot conditions; but if you're a full framed guy wearing heavy clothing all the time; you got it made; but if you're in the toilet you better keep that Rosco Handy; They like to come for you at your weakest moment. and don't forget when you naked with a chick; better keep in closer than you are with her. probably why a can't keep marry to one woman. • @RequisiteFunction
      @RequisiteFunction 3 месяца назад

You can get a variety of old police .38s. They are relatively inexpensive and they work well.
This list is supposed to be about snubs, though.
The first snubnose was the SW model 36 J-frame in the 1950s. Some had 3" barrels, but most had 2", and they no longer make the 3".
Snubs are designed for conceal carry. 3" is about the limit for concealed carry, usually requiring specific outfit choices to accommodate, especially the older ones with full length grips.
The Iver Johnson you have , like most police issue .38 revolvers, is a much larger gun, made for a belt holster. It's an easier gun to shoot, but a harder gun to carry in your waistband.

Who the hell uses a snubnose for "recreational shooting"?
I mean, yeah, sure, shoot it all day, if it's the only gun you have. But snubs are the least pleasurable revolvers to shoot. I think anyone who owns a snub for defensive use, definitely needs to practice with it as much as possible. But when it comes to shooting just for fun, i doubt anyone has a snub at the top of their list. Most people are not buying snubs as range toys. The whole point of snubs is concealment. You don't need to conceal your guns at the range.

Heritage Roscoe 38spl priced at 300, Before I pay around a grand on a pocket gun I rather flip the cost of a new Colt Python 4" barrel and a holster. I have to question the logic of the 8shot cylinder in a snub nose, and a 357mag? No

You left out the chapa rhino probably the best revolver in the world and yes, they’re expensive, but they don’t kick as hard because the barrel isn’t on top. It’s on the bottom.

SW needs to make a 9shot .327 mag that’s same size as pc327 and others. Also, Kimber needs to make a K7s, a 7 shot .327 mag in the size of a jframe. Both of those would be amazing!! More capacity. Same size. Less recoil. Almost same power. Win win win

With my trainee and years of service with the police department of 22 years I would trust myself with a 22 mag revolver give me a 3-in 22 mag revolver I would be a happy camper for civilians shop placement is the key it's not the size of the bullet !!

You were showing the L frame 686+ in 2.5 inch barrel. While talking about the performance center one. You went back and forth 😅

When I was a kid I loved the look of the Ruger gp100 barrel. The way that the end of the barrel is shaped.

Why do you need so much ammo..If your shot placement is spot on then .357 is lights out for anyone in my mind unless they are just huge...I would use Bear defense rounds as home protection..Know one is surviving bear rounds I mean c'mon it's for bears! And bonus if you have to defend against an actual bear you will be ready 😁

I agree with number 1 slot but (with the revolvers you showed) but the real #1 slot OR even #2 SLOT SHOULD 100% have been the Chiappa Rhino 200DS! & you didn't even list it. Not only is it the coolest looking gun but hands down the best shooting as the lower barrel pushes recoil straight back into hand rather than the tip booming upward line every other revolver. Come on man
