Best bloke to look at on RUclips for anything discovery 3 and 4 is LR Time. He’s a German bloke and really knows his stuff! I’ve had the same fault on my fathers for 3 or 4 years now and just had enough of looking so it can bloody stay!
That would be standard LR technician competence. Cannot use their eyes! There is a bolt that secures the intake elbow (when it's pushed on properly. I suspect its pushing off under boost - not showing with the smoke machine - these engines run nearly 2 bar boost pressure when the 2nd turbo chimes in at ~2800rpm.
Something doesn’t sound right to me, I can’t see a dealer not being able to sort that, methinks a Google mechanic might have had a fiddle 🤔 well done Jimmy 👍
I'm an electrician and have worked at Landrover dealerships and none of the Landrover mechanics owned Landrover cars themselves, i was talking to a few mechanic guys and they said we have to repair them day in day out and there so unreliable the guy's said they wouldn't own one themselves as there crap. The plastic inlet manifolds are crap as they crack 😅 and take ages to get in stock
I have a disco sport with engine light on, result was low side EGR cooler filter changed 2 months ago. Now the engine light is back on. 2 local garages, one without looking have suggest i have cracked DPF,but won't know for sure untill it is dismantled and estimate a £3000 bill , you guys seem to know a thing or two, any suggestions...
Probably the more experienced Land-rover Mechanics are now freelancing since they will have a guaranteed supply of work and income

Fired the parts canon. No joy. Now having it diagnosed only as he’ll then fit the right part 🤔
obviously Jimmy the Land Rover Techs are not getting the correct training they need on what is supposed to be a Premium Brand .

Dipetane isn’t meant to do that. It’s fuel conditioner. It claims to aid cleaner running & fuel efficiency
