I used to see hundreds, if not thousands of Monarchs as they migrated through the area. Now, I'm lucky to see a dozen.
I have three butterfly tattoos, because I lost 3 pregnancies. They are my favorite. Before I lost my first baby I felt him move and it felt like butterflies in my stomach. So I have a monarch on my stomach to the left of my bellybutton where I felt the baby move. Now butterflies represent for me change and enlightenment in my current lifespan. ☮️❤️🙏🌼 My favorite quote;::: Perhaps butterflies are a reminder that we must go through a great deal of darkness to find our light. 💫🌟👽

The significance of the butterfly is change. From caterpillar to chrysalis, or pupa, and from thence to beauty.
I grow milky sap plants specifically for this reason. Monarchs feed on these plants, lay eggs, hatch and the cycle continues. My boys and I love doing this.

The most beautiful part about Monarch is not just the metamorphosis, it is the fact that they travel from Canada to South Mexico. Each migration is by a new generation, so they cannot learn from others.... The winter migration.

When he went into a chrysalis, it was cold outside, so the butterfly was going to have to live with us. The little butterfly lived for two months, hanging out in his home and every day coming out and flying around the house. It was one of the most wonderful things I’ve ever done .

Weird question but I live in Florida and I have read that rearing butterflies is affecting the migratory population and causing some issues but what about the Florida population that doesn't migrate and we have no special monarch season so releasing them at anytime is ok. I just want to make sure that what I am doing is helping not hurting the monarch population as it relates to the Florida population
