no its not, this is using one of the worst gpus on the market that is sold you can't push the games to where ram might even make a bit of difference and also ram is more beneficial outside of games so having a game review is redundant anyways

For example MFS2020 and DCS need a lot of RAM, and I often find my PC running out of RAM with my 16GB, requiring lot of page file and so slowing down the performance. Also more RAM in those games lower the frame time more than increasing the FPS, which is really important as 100 FPS with low and steady frame time will feel way better than 144 FPS with frame time spikes all over the place. In the next few years I'm pretty sure more and more game will start to actually saturate 16GB and we'll eventually need 32GB, but surely not mandatory atm.
Assembling a budget PC right now. i3-12100F and an RX 6600 for a 1080p monitor. I'm pretty sure I can stay cheap and just get 16GB. By the time its insufficient I'm sure the i3 will be as well.
@@ColonelBragg Yeah, but its a secondary PC so I wanted to go as cheap as possible for 1080p. Its up and running and doing great with the games I currently have. The RX 6600 got me a free copy of Starfield too.
I think newer games you’d see a much bigger difference between the 8gb ram and the others. Also your cpu/gpu isn’t really going to get much higher frames so it doesn’t again show the limiting factor of the ram. On high end cpu/gpu the difference can be 30fps from using single rank 8gb compared to dual rank 16gb
@@CragScrambler no it’s dual Channel and single channel, and then of course they also sell ram in dual rank which also Improves the performance slightly. Single channel means you only have one ram slot full meaning your pc isn’t using both channels which makes it performance suffer. That has nothing to do with dual rank ram!!

And the difference between dual rank and single rank ram is negligible. Jarrod tech did a full video testing every ram configuration possible and the best performer was actual 16gb dual channel single rank, second best was 32gb dual channel dual rank

Hey man, I’m really confused whether to get one of two different laptops. I will list the specs below and I’d really appreciate it if you can give me your opinion on which I should get: Zephyrus g14: 14” display. OLED 3K 120 Hz Ryzen 9 8945HS 32 GB RAM GeForce RTX 4070 1 TB SSD Zephyrus G16: 16” display. OLED 2.5K 240 Hz Intel Core Ultra 9 16 GB RAM GeForce RTX 4070 1 TB SSD Please keep in mind that the ram in these laptops is soldered in so I don’t have the option to upgrade it later on. What I really want is the G16. I really want the larger display (since it’ll be the only display I’ll have) and the dark grey color it comes in (unlike the g14 which only comes in a white color). It also has a higher refresh rate, and a better CPU. Everything about it is better…except for the ram. If you are using windows 11 and plays latest AAA games. Much better to use 32gb of ram. It can easily max out 16gb of ram.
