Is that the stock rubicon front skid plate under your front bumper? I have an 80th anniversary edition and I put that same bumper on, but I hate the way the wimpy skid plate looks, yours looks a lot better
When you look at pricing, it's cheaper to wait and buy the Synth Version straight from the start. Usually you get some options like wireless remote etc when going with the Synth version directly. I bought a SuperWinch SX12000 and if I was to switch the Steel to Synth it would have cost me like $200 more to do it after. And also the Synth Rope goes with the same warranty as the winch :)

@@jeepzandthings have you had any problems with condensation on the inside of the lens? i was reading the reviews and numerous people reference this, but the solution is to take the cover off and silicone seal them.

That sleeve is supposed to go on negative behind the winch to protect connection. Great install!

Just got myself a rubicon skid plate. Am I right that with the arb bumper installed the skid plate only uses two bolts on the bottom of it?

What type of skid plate were you able to get to work with the bumper?
Its the original gladiator skid plate. No modifications needed

Nothing yet. Im in the south west desert so that could have something to do with it
I would go with the rough country winch before the harbor freight one.

@@themanthelegend7048 ...that also makes their winches in China. Plugging RC and putting down Harbor Freight is damn near comical.
@@mattskillman everything is made in China. The rc winch has a 3 year warranty. The harbor freight has a 2 week warranty. Take your pick.
Matts offroad used harbor freight winches in the past, if he used them for recoveries why are they so bad?
