  • Bristol Data Week is a platform for learning, discussion, and exploration of data science and AI applications. It offers a valuable opportunity for researchers, external partners, and community groups interested in technology and its societal impact to connect and collaborate. The event encourages the growth of existing networks while fostering the development of new connections.
In this session, Dr Nina Di Cara talked about 'Mood Music: what can we learn about well-being from our music listening?' The Mood Music study has been collecting data from over 200 participants about how they use the music streaming service Spotify, and whether their music use is related to changes in their well-being day-by-day. In this talk, Nina introduced the study and the use of ecological momentary assessment to collect high-resolution data from participants, and talk about how music listening contributes to our understanding of 'digital footprints' for well-being.
