@allaboutliving Boo, they weren't dry. I put the jar on the counter and shake every day. If you see any sticking, clumping or moisture just pop it right back in the dehydrator. Speaking of vacuum sealing, I wash, slice, dice or whatever my produce then put in a jar with a half sheet of paper towel folded in the bottom of the jar. Keeps refrigerated 2 weeks. If you vacuum seal, it Keeps even longer.
Gonna give this a go, love squash!!!
Do it!!! Well worth the effort and then some.........
I made squash pickles/relish just depends on what you want to call it.
One thing that one can grow is squash, I'm swimming in it, too
We do that also. We have a video on it, but we'll be updating that video soon.
Have you tried dehydrating thin slice or shreds?
I did but they molded in the jar. I have a new vaccum sealer. We'll give it another try. We can do a video and then follow up after a couple months.
