always so incredible how realism of a platform is criticized, or which platform is better than the other.
When we don't even know what goodies exists that we are not even aware of
Great video. So many things that increases realism, and simmers are seemingly unaware!!!
yeah, all this "mine's better than yours" is quite annoying. Especially when those people claiming to have the better sim then don't even know how to use it properly.
X-Plane might have better flight dynamics, but what's the use if people don't even know what proper pitch/power flying is about or what their aircrafts basic numbers are.
I'd like to express my gratitude! I came back to passenger Flight Sims after way too many years flying in DCS and you are the greatest resource for me to study the 737!
Thank you so much!
It’s amazing after flying this aircraft for months, I’m still learning about cool new features and expanding my knowledge of flying in the process. What a fantastic product! Thanks for the insight.
Thank you!
I’ve been flying the PMDG 737 for months and I didn’t even know that was a thing. Loved the explanations + going down in the PMDG settings. Thanks!
And again, I have learned something new. Thank you very much CAP! 👌💪
this is a good topic.. I have never changed the default simulation throttle assignment in the FMC. I am going to play around with it now and see what my setup can handle. I do not have a fancy throttle quardrant setup yet, I still have a cheap logitec multipurpose controller. It works, but it getting old and its a little finicky when you wantt to make small changes.
Great information. I did know this one and I appreciate you bringing it up!
I love this channel and videos. Specially these short specific topic videos. I would love to see one about the usage of the clock. What procedures are usually timed, what information is gained from reading the time in the end, etc. Thanks Emmanuel for this amazing work!
These type of videos are excellent for really getting “to know” your aircraft. Prior to watching this video I had finished watching your video checking out inibuilds A320 NEO beta. You watch these vids back to back and newer sim pilots who are not RL pilots but who are serious about their flying can certainty begin to understand why there are type ratings for these transport aircraft. This is great stuff. Keep up your excellent work.
Thank you so much!
Now keep in mind that the real pilot job consists of maybe 20% flying and 80% managing and then you got an idea why you need all that training.
As always, great info. I didn't know this, thank you so much for all your videos!
Fantastic video! Thanks for the lesson!
My pleasure!
Thank you for sharing all of your knowledge! It's great to learn so much about this aircraft even though I'm not in flight school. Love your style!
Thank you so much!
I think you are doing just great with all the topics you pick. For me flight simulation is not just about flying around in a virtual world, but learning in great detail the mechanics and operations of aircrafts and how it all comes together to fly. The detail that you go in helps me to do exactly that! Too bad you switched teams though... Lol... I'm kidding of course... There is nothing wrong with being a passenger at the nose of an aircraft.
hahaha, thank you! Believe me, from a real world perspective the A330 is much nicer than the 737 :D
I love your videos, so much to learn and you explain it calm and professional, keep on the great work!
Thank you!
You are the best instructor ever!
Thank you. Very useful.
I would love to see a video on how to properly deal with the FMC Message “Unable SPEED at WAYPOINT”
Thank you!
TNX Capt❤
Very useful. I did not know that. thank you
You're welcome!
You also can always override it by pressing F1/F2/F3/F4 regardless of the setting in FMC.
Can’t say much than very useful video👍🏻
Thank you Jacob!
Thanks 😉
A totally off topic question, but I’ve noticed on some videos from for example KLM (and maybe some other operator’s) the FMA will automatically show LNAV armed during ILS approaches after A/P disconnection. Just to reduce a little bit off workload during a go around. Do you know if that feature is implemented in the pmdg 737, because I can’t find it anywhere. Cheers!
That's a company option which the latest NGs have. At the moment not implemented in PMDGs 737.
hey could you possibly do a video explaining cmd a vs cmd b and the use of cws
I think a lot of simmers don't use it because a lot of hardware have sensivity that could trigger issues with this mode.
That's why I don't put the option in the PMDG 737. Sometimes just keeping my hand on my thrust levers at takeoff below V1 can override the A/T and compromise the takeoff or reduce thrust resulting in an unwanted RTO... Pretty annoying.
I would have prefered to have the option set for the reasons you describe but it's too much potential issues. Maybe other hardware types permit it without issue and people don't like to use A/T override.
Over the years I used many sticks like the Thrustmaster Boeing throttles, Airbus Throttles, Saitek Throttle, Honeycomb, etc.
With all of them I could generally circumvent the issue of the thrust levers jumping back by pushing them all the way to the forward stop while A/T was still in N1 mode and setting its thrust.
If I left them matched to the "actual" thrust setting that usually caused the issues you mentioned here as well.
@@A330Driver thanks a lot for the advice !
Great!!
I notice on auto land I couldn't set it to idle on flare because the input on my TCa throttle didn't override the auto thrust. So for me to override it on an auto land like you do in real life what setting would I use ?
On autolands we would normally not overwrite the A/T.
@@A330Driver during the flair don't you pull throttles to idle though ??? Otherwise like what happened to me in the SIM I bounced off the runway because me setting my TCa to idle did nothing. It just stayed at the landing speed
I have the Cockpit for You V 3 motorized TQ It wont let me override the throttles with A/T on. Wished I could use this feature.
Have you sent them a question about that? Overriding the AT is something we do on almost every flight so if you can't do that it would be a huge issue on such an expensive piece of hardware.
The TQ isn't supposed to work on msfs 2020 with PMDG 737,but one of the guys on the pmdg forum adjusted some files and got everything to work except for A\T override. I'm just happy everything else works fine now. At first I thought I bought a $3500 paper weight@@A330Driver
On the fenix A
320 how do you get more than idle reverse?
I'm using the F2 key for reverse and it gets me max reverse without problems.
Hey how do you use winwing???? worth the price?
Really like it, certainly worth the price, especially when you can get it on one of their sales.
@@A330Driver Super, I've also just become interested in this joystick. I wonder if there will ever be an A3XX AIRBUS Joystick Grip available for this joystick :)
is the aircraft vibration a msfs setting, or do you have a seperat plugin for that?
Fsrealistic
It's FSRealistic indeed.
I can’t over ride my throttles with my TCA. Great technique though !
It's just a matter of settings, certainly worth checking out and finding your personal optimum.
