I’d like to testify: If this song is booze, I’m an alcoholic! I can’t stop listening, it’s the combination of the 4 best voices on the planet, the swinging band, fantastic harmonies and unbroken fun and energy of the piece. Absolutely hysterical!
Having worked a few shows, all the set pieces would be very doable. Especially the club switch right before this song. A few scenes would need reworking but that’s the same with everything when you go to stage
I love this. Bing is at his grandfatherly best in this. He did STAGECOACH two years later, but this guest appearance with the Ratpack is easily his last vintage on-screen appearance.
What a 1-derful recording !!! These guys were tops, the kind of entertainers we will never see their likes again. Robin & The 7 Hoods is an all time favorite of mine and when they turned that casino into a revival meeting room it was one of the funniest thing I've seen, love that scene.
Family guy is basically a series of references to every piece of media Seth MacFarlane has ever seen. If you're close to his age they're a lot more obvious.
What an absolute joy this was to listen to, I'd love to seen this, to see Bing, Dean, Frank and Sammy together performing this gem if a recording. Great fun 👍👏👏👏👏 Gid bless them all and may they forever rest in peace. 11th of October 2021 🇬🇧
I know a guy an his wife in middle sixties that drink from morning to bedtime. Every day. I send this to them every week 😂😂🍻🍻the woman so blasted she loves it.😂
They kind of did, there is another track with all of them, Don’t Be A Do Badder which appears as a reprise at the end of the album with all of them. Then Bing, Frank, and Dean did The Oldest Established and Fugue For Tinhorns, and had an appearance on TV singing Together and an Old Songs medley.
@@imperialbricks1977 I don’t think Sinatra disliked Bing for this reason, as Dean Martin was a republican too. I think any tension between them comes from Frank still being in awe of Bing. Don’t forget Frank had a poster of Bing on his wall as a teenager. It’s also been noted that Frank asked Rosemary Clooney how she kept relaxed around Bing, due to Frank still being in awe, and this was in 1964. In fact Bing was Frank’s most prolific vocal collaborator, appearing in 7 albums together, and I’m only counting albums recorded for the purpose of an album, not reused tracks.
@@ModernBingFan Sinatra is noted to have gotten extremely pissed because JFK had a party at Crosby's house instead of his own, and he EXPLICITLY stated that it was because of Crosby's party affiliation.
@@imperialbricks1977 He got mad at Peter Lawford over not convincing JFK and Bobby Kennedy to stay at Frank’s, as they were worried about mob ties. Frank would replace Peter Lawford with Bing in Robin and the Seven Hoods, if he hated Bing I doubt he would have done this.

Are you kidding?! These guys drank every night!
They did not like drinking .😅
who's ever idea it was to make the rat pack sing a song about how alcohol is evil is a genius. Peak comedy.
@@brighten77it’s from a movie they were in but it’s still pretty funny
The joke is that in the film Robin and the Seven Hoods, they’re singing this as cover for their bootleg alcohol business.
Jep and the strongest drinker was dean Martin i think.

Family Guy didn't come up with any song. All the songs in FG are from earlier movies

Bing Cosby wasn’t part of the rat pack, I wish he was so they would’ve done more songs like this, but technically he wasn’t

Sinatra didn't like Crosby because he was a Republican. Everyone else thought he was fantastic.
