Nowadays people don't realize how great thus man was.
Love you always ! You were the best doo wop singers of all time! Karin and Marcel
He should have been put into the rock and roll hall of fame. There was no one like him. Amazing singer 💞
No one better
I too believe that he should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. My favorite song is,

Boy I miss his sound. There will never be another Johnny 😥
The single voice I wanted to sound like, as a young aspiring vocalist. Johnny Maestro's voice was absolute gold! Smooth, clear and strong.
If I ever got back into singing I would do a johnny maestro tribute band I can do the crest tunes but not the Brooklyn bridge stiff
I saw him in 1971 at a rock ‘n’ roll revival show first he did his hits with the crestsThen he brought the Brooklyn bridge out and did their smash is the worst that could happen thank you, Johnny.
He had a mighty voice that only comes from the Lord. I believe he is singing in Heaven waiting for us to come praise the Lord with him.
RIP one of the best of all time
One of the best for sure!!
Check out those clothes. This was when groups had class and talent. This is when whites and blacks sang together because they respected talent no matter what the skin color was.
The Crests were one of the best New York doo-wop groups.
Amazing video......
Wonderful Tribute to the best Lead singer ever to hit the stage. He is the best ever. God Bless.

Ralph AdornoI had been lucky to see and hear the best of Johnny Maestro three times. What a treat, never to be forgotten.
A tear came to my eyes while hearing this R I P Johnny
A great tribute to a wonderful man. Saw him numerous times in Atlantic City--last time was on January 15, 2010. Even though he looked so thin and frail, his voice was still magnificent.
Always a gentleman and a truly class act with the Crests, the Brooklyn Bridge and singing on his own....We all miss you Johnny.......
JM was one of a kind. Such beauty and talent. I sure miss his wonderful voice
Johnny you were the greatest.
Missing you and the rest of the BB.
If the HOF was legitimate you guys would have been in it long ago.
I agree R&R Hall of Fame .... most definitely. One of the most beautiful voices in the early years of Rock & Roll.
Great memories he was an awesome guy met him you are missed .
I had the honor of working along side of one of the kings of Doo Wop!

He was more, so much more but to define him as the consumate rock-doo wop voice is an understatement ... The scum who vote for the rock hall of fame should be ashamed for missing on Johnny and the bb !!!

JOHNNY WAS A MASTER DOO WOP HE DIED IN 2010 AGE 70
Viet.nam.new
His last name says it all Maestro! Teacher Conductor Singer!!!
"Worst that Could Happen".....reminds me of being on a bus with other Army draftees September 1969, heading from Fort Campbell to Fork Polk for Advanced Infantry Training then to Vietnam, my girl friend Cezanne had turned cold and would hardly give me the time of day , one letter I received sounded like we were only friends, after i got out of the army she wanted to date but i was not interested , she had killed my love for her when i had been drated, but Johnny Maestro what a singer!!!
The best Doo Wop singer in History his Voice is up there with Roy Orbison ....Hall of Fame a must ....
What a voice the voice of a angel 👼🤴❤️
Such an incredible voice....loved him in the late 50's, and just as much now....the memories are good when Johnny was singing....his voice always leaves me in total awe....thanks for sharing.
This put a lump in my throat. I could listen to it over and over again. What a voice. RIP Johnny
I do!
makes me cry what a singer missyou johnny always
Johnny, when he formed the Brooklyn Bridge and was at his peak, put out some of the most beautiful and harmonious songs of all time. Of course my fave, "Worst That Could Happen", was so underrated, but "Welcome Me Love", "Blessed Is The Rain", the somewhat childish & silly, yet GORGEOUS "Your Kite, My Kite", showcased a great horn section but those songs had more "parts", as far as vocal background harmony, as any ever wriitten or recorded. His voice was so velvety smooth & so unique.
I could listen to Johnny Maestro all day!!!❤
What a voice!
very nice tribute to a man that well deserves it
Thank you Johnny for All your Beautiful songs!! R.I.P your an Angel ❤️
I loved Johnny Maestro. He was a great singer and will be sorely missed. I saw him perform in Cape Coral, FL when I lived there.
How can anybody dislike this song.....Do they realize this was a Tribute to one of the best guys out there that gave us so much of him self......Wow that is amazing to me.....that 4 dislikes showed up......Why whoever did this just keep on going instead of disrespecting one of the best.guys out there..........SHAME ON WHOEVER YOU ARE.......
He was one of a kind and he is missed dearly. Yes John was quiet and reserved but was a very special person. RIP my frend
Pat Rigole 0
Very nice tribute
What memories that can't be dublicated.
When is Johnny Maestro going to be put in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
Johnny Maestro - what is there to say - fabulous longevity -gr8 talent - saw him with Crests and Brooklyn Bridge - an absolute insult to all of us who grew up in the gr8 Doo Wop era and cherish the music today that he is not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame - that's an injustice that s/b rectified.. RIP Johnny
Awesome. You're the greatest, John. We miss you.
My paper ran a "passages" of all the people we lost this year, John among them. It made me sad all over again.
How well I remember Johnny and The Crests performing in Jackson Mississippi. It was such a great show as my sister and I had front row seats. In order to perform (mixed groups ) not allowed at that time, Johnny wore extra pancake makeup to look darker. As the show wore on and the sweating began his makeup melted off his face. Was really no problem as his skin color was same as mine and I am mixed race. They took pictures with us but mine faded long ago. Blame Kodak for the instant prints. He was a genius. RIP Johnny
Debs357....you are so right. The standards to get into the Hall are stupid. Why John is not in is beyond belief.
He could sing the phone book and I would love it. R.I.P Johnny !!!!!
I saw him in concert in 2009, in Atlantic City, and his voice was as sharp as it ever was...it was an outstanding performance!
Wow that was just great,Johnny is the man. It's time for the R&R HALL.Rock on Johnny
Mind boggling and unacceptable that Johnny isn't in the Rock & Roll hall of fame, by all means he should be at the top of the list, his sterling voice isn't one in a million, it's one in a lifetime!
One of the greates singers of all time, what a voice.
We saw him in Atlantic City a few times. Great voice and great to listen to. RIP. What is holding up him in the Rock and Roll HOF? An injustice.
You left too soon , you are headlining on a bigger venue now, we hope to see you again 🙏🏼
Miss him dearly this brought sooo much tears to me seeing this video as he was one of the best
The Best!!! We love singing all the Crests songs...The Group SOUNTRAC...
Song Name - Gee (But I'd Give the World) - took me awhile to find the name but I did enjoy!
I always thought Johnny would go on forever....RIP
you're a great guy love this song
None better!!!!
This tribute is so very well done..........and I would just like to add, even though I'm late stating this, to everyone who ever heard this man sing publicly that they should boycott the supposed Rock n Roll Hall of Fame until his place is secured in there. I will never set foot in that building until he is fully enshrined........the HOF is a sham without many of those who started in the Doo Wop era.
+James Scheffler Agreed
So much agree with you James,, It is a sham and a shame up there in Cleveland,, although I love the Browns,, I don't care for the HOF
What criteria doesn’t he meet , please tell me what’s missing so I can understand why he’s not in the HOF.
Totally agree!
@@russallard9256 PURE POLITICS!
Johnny and the Brooklyn Bridge were great! MAny good momories!
Such a beautiful voice at a time when music was clean not rebellious not political just pure beautiful music😢
Wow, in two words, EXCELLENT, OUTSTANDING.
Pardon me for saying what I am about to write here. I have had the honor of meeting Johnny at a show I did with Ronnie Italiano at
De Witt Clinton H.S. Bronx NYC in 1987. Always admired him and how he dressed. In the last few years I have been sick and I figure my life is now somewhat shortened. So I promised myself that by the end of this year, I will have lost enough weight and hopefully, be healthy enough, I am going to emulate his style and sing some of his songs. In my range of course LOL. I guess everybody has to have a goal. He should be in Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame.
A beautiful Sanger one of the best doo-wops ever known love his singing
Miss Johnny Maestro so much. He's gone 10 years but it feels like yesterday we were young and loving his songs. I grew up with him and Love Him to this Day...R.I.P. Sweet Johnny.
IMHO one of the top 4 Dool Wop voices. At most of the oldies shows his name always comes up as the greatest. He may be gone but the music lives on and on !
I would
Like to know why they haven’t put Johnny maestro in the hall of fame also he contributed so much to the music industry it’s really sad such a great talent and never even acknowledged if anyone should be in the hall of fame it should be johnny maestro there will never be another Johnny Maestro he was one of a kind and truly blessed with that incredible voice Lu Reilly
