Licensed insurance agent here. I can't believe you didn't mention long term private insurance plans at all!! If you are healthy and can qualify, private plans can give you the best coverage at much more affordable prices than the Marketplace plans. These are not short term plans.

My mom actually read a newspaper article about Short term medical insurance and told me about it. I personally am using National General although I think they are now operating under Velapoint
