- This Friday Khutbah (sermon) covers the lessons from Surah al-Qalam (the 68th Chapter of the Qur'an). It is one of the very first stories ever revealed in the Quran. It touches on many aspects of positive uses of wealth by analysing the story of The Companions of the Garden.

Alhamdullillah, I found and listen the taskirah by brother Yasir Qadhi on al Taubah. Especially about Kab missed the command by Rasulullah. Having challenge been tested that I met this brother recently that had a stroke. I wish this Surah and taskirah will give him hidayah by Allah swt.

Mashallah Tabarakallah, may the Almighty grant you the highest honors in Jannah and may He make you a special source of guidance to us on earth. May Allah Azzawajjal elevate our status and purify the past, the present and the future of Muslims and grant us victory on that Day. It’s not accurately correct about the letters always being connected with a follow up with the meaning of the Quran. “That is what every single time Allah mention a letter, he follows it up with a mention of the Quran…”. the examples he gave were right for it being a follow up with the meaning of Quran. But it doesn’t have to be always. Surah Maryam for example, the mercy of Allah bestowed upon his servant Zakaria, is being followed up after the letters.
I thought I would share that. May Allah increase us in knowledge and understanding and guide us to the righteous path. Ameen

Part 1:
Innal hamdulillahi nahmaduhu wa nasta 'eenuhu wa nastaghfiruhu wa na 'uuzhu Billaahi min shuruuri anfusinaa wamin sayyi 'aati a'maalina. Mayyah dihillaahu falaa mudilla lahu wa mayyud lilhu falaa haadiya lah. Wa ash hadu al laa ilaaha illallaahu wahdahu laa shariika lah, wa ash hadu anna Muhammadan 'abduhuu wa Rasuuluh.
Translation of the above:
Praise belongs to Allah, we praise him, and we ask him for guidance and forgiveness. And we seek protection in Allah from the malice of our own souls, and the evil of our actions. Whom Allah guides, no one can lead him astray, and whom He makes astray, no one can lead him back to the right path. I bear witness that there is no other deity but Allah, by himself, no associate to him, and I bear witness that Muhammad is his slave and Messenger.
Part 2:
Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem. Ya Ay-yuhal-ladheena 'aamanut taqul-laaha, haqqa tuqaatihee wala tamu tun-na, il-la wa antum Muslimoon. Surah Al-Imran, Verse 102.
Translation of the above:
"O you who believed! Fear Allah as He should be feared, and die not except as Muslims." [Suratul Aali 'Imran 3:102]
Part 3:
yāayyuhā l-nāsu ittaqū rabbakumu alladhī khalaqakum min nafsin wāḥidatin wakhalaqa min'hā zawjahā wabatha min'humā rijālan kathīran wanisāan wa-ittaqū l-laha alladhī tasāalūna bihi wal-arḥāma inna l-laha kāna ʿalaykum raqīban [Suah Nisa 4: Verse 1]
Translation of the above:
O men! Fear your Lord Who created you from a single being and out of it created its mate; and out of the two spread many men and women. Fear Allah in Whose name you plead for rights, and heed the ties of kinship. Surely, Allah is ever watchful over you. (Quran 4:1)
Part 4:
yāayyuhā alladhīna āmanū ittaqū l-laha waqūlū qawlan sadīdan
yuṣ'liḥ lakum aʿmālakum wayaghfir lakum dhunūbakum waman yuṭiʿi l-laha warasūlahu faqad fāza fawzan ʿaẓīman
[Quran, surah Al Azhab 30:70-71]
translation:
O you who believe! Fear Allah and speak a word right.
He will amend for you your deeds and forgive for you your sins. And whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger certainly has attained an attainment great. Quran 30 Ayah 70-71]
Last Part [ This is read before we stand for the Friday prayers after the he speaks the English Qutbah]
'Ibadallah. Innal-laha yamuru bil 'adli wal ihsani wa itae dhil qurba wa yanha 'anil fahshaa-e wal munkari wal baghi, ya 'ezukum la 'allakum tadakkarun [Quran 16:90]. Udkurullahal 'azema yadh kurkum, wash kuruuhu yazid kum, was taghfiruhu yaghfir lakum, wattaquhu yaj'allakum min amri kum makhraja. Wa aqimis-salah.
Translation of the above:
Slaves of Allah! "Allah commands justice, the doing of good, and liberality to kith and kin, and He forbids all shameful deeds, and injustice and rebellion: He instructs you, that you may remember." [Quran 16:90]. Remember Allah the supreme (in glory) and He will remember you, and be thankful to Him, and He will increase you in bounty, and seek His forgiveness, He will forgive you, and have Taqwa of Him (Godfearing, devoutness, piety), He will make for you a way out of your issues. Establish the prayer.

Whosoever intends to do a good deed but does not do it, Allah records it with Himself as a complete good deed; but if he intends it and does it, Allah records it with Himself as ten good deeds, up to seven hundred times, or more than that. But if he intends to do an evil deed and does not do it, Allah records it with Himself as a complete good deed; but if he intends it and does it, Allah records it down as one single evil deed.”
