It's just he took so long between shifts like he cant drive or something so it just took a little to gain back his acceleration after the slow granny shifts. Right before the video cut off you could see that the 370z was going to start pulling again
Well actually what’s happening is the redline on the cats are much different, so when the nismo is at peak power the m3 is not and that’s why it pulls away but after the m3 goes to its redline it gains on the nismo, so it comes down to gearing and rpm range. After this race we did a 2nd gear pull from a lower speed and the m3 gapped the 370z by a full car length about 35-135 mph And both drivers were shifting properly. Not risking any excessive shifting to damage their vehicles.
I have an 7 speed one, it’s a lot faster than the 6 speed manual. I did fairly well against an newer 5.0 mustang GT also, although the guy did mishifted he had driver mod, he corrected it really fast. You can look at my video if you want.
