Dreamcore for me is an escape from the world around me and an adventure into my subconscious. It has helped me to face myself on a very intimate level, allowing myself to face my shadow and heal old wounds that reopen constantly. Every time I allow myself to maladapt to the daydream, it becomes like a sort of meditation accompanied with imagery thats symbolic of whats cerrently troubling me in life. When I can face it this way, it becomes less scary and in a way, more recognized. Instead of running, I see it right in front of me, and I can say "you are not me."
Hah you have to listen to music to stop running away what a sissy imagine a world without this music you would be running away forever like the coward you are
Dreamcore is usually seen as a 'childish' genre / category but it's honestly super comforting. It's like creating memories of times that never existed, filling in the void of reality with false nostalgia of better times.
Sometimes I wonder why I love Weirdcore, Dreamcore, Technocore, Kidcore, and so on and so forth. Then I see videos likes these when I'm sick or anxious about something and it lets me shut my brain off and relax, it's literally like a safe space for me
Ugghhh. This is so addicting. I hope you continue to make these playlist cause they actually help me. I have serious social anxiety, insomnia and i have alot of break downs and these playlist help me sleep and get through it all. Thanks alot and stay safe♡
Man... In a world where chaos often seems to reign supreme, there is a beautiful reminder that music can bring us together in the most blissful way. It's like a warm embrace that envelopes us, connecting us in a way that is both familiar and comforting. The beauty of it all is so breathtaking that it can bring tears to our eyes, and we're left feeling grateful for this moment of pure and unbridled happiness.
Apparently, when someone gets dementia or a similar disease, music is one of the few things the person will remember later. It's just in there. Deep in our brain, somewhere. It's important to us, I guess.
POV: You are floating along the galaxy, with no real destination in mind, no company around except you and the bright stars. As you float along you pass by different worlds, which call out to you to explore. You ignore the call for now and continue on your way as a pastime you start counting the stars but lose track after 1000, you don't mind though. It wasn't a test, no one is around watching you, pressuring you to keep counting, just you, the worlds, and the stars. You have a feeling of safety wash over you as if the stars were keeping you safe from spaces unknown 'terrors' but right now, you don't have a care in the world or any world for that matter. Just you, the worlds, the stars, and the galaxy keeping you company on this nowhere adventure Edit: thank you all for the likes and positive feedback! This is actually the first POV I've written ((all though I do write storys)). I'm glad I can make you all smile/feel safe. Have a wonderful day/night/afternoon wherever you are!

My old elementary school was torn down two years ago and these pictures with the music evoke fond memories of my time there. The early/mid 2000s were a different time indeed.
I don’t know about you but these type of videos give me overloads of nostalgia. The video feels “enclosed” and safe for me. I don’t know how to describe it but it’s a weird feeling
I understand you. It hurts so much, thinking about people you’ll never see again, places that you may visit, but won’t be recognized as the place you visited in childhood.
Okay yall might not believe me but that pool image is literally like 20mins away from me. I had a birthday party there as a kid 😭 It's kinda creepy that somehow the algorithm just coincidentally showed me this.. Teaches me for binging backrooms videos. Now i find out i had a birthday party in a liminal space 💀
Im in Ireland and been to a place identical to this and it's probably a universal 90s indoor pool design that everyone adopted while creating them. But seeing the picture alone gave me a kick in my stomach with nostalgia
Oh man. I’m currently going through some shit. But man this piece of art. It feels so confortable. We often see someone saying that « vaporwave is a vision of a past that didn’t exist ». But this man, it hit me right in my childhood.
no one makes playlists like yours! they often lump dreamcore in with weirdcore when I find dreamcore soft and comforting while wierdcore is harsh and strange. So you nailed the feeling I was wanting soft but slightly off but not in a bad way.
If you are reading this, let me give you a tip through dreams. When lucid dreaming, it is always a thing to know within ones mind, certain thoughts can provoke awakening. When thinking that you cannot have a long lucid dream without waking up the moment you know you're in a dream, then you will have that self-thought in your dreams as well. Do know that thinking that you are in a dream too much as a way to lucid dream, will more often than not leads your mind to take you back into reality. If you do know that you're in a dream, put that beside your head, use your lucidness as a way to journey your dream; as a part of the dream itself. It will lengthen the dream more than to halt it the moment it feels everything is done, due to in some cases, knowing that you already have all of the control. In all to be known, areas are endless, possibilities are far, yet all can end so quickly, in the depths of Dreamland.
I’ll also say that if you realize being in a dream, Just focus on what you are seeing, Keep your brain focused on the things around you. When lucid dreaming I often feel like I’m under water. I mean, that sensation that you feel when you try to Stay in the deep, but your body wants to go to the surface.. the same goes for the dream: you want to Stay in the dream, your body is trying to awake you. So just keep governate and chilling insidie it: dont be scared. Its all in your head.
When I'm awake in a dream, my mind try to make me feels so sleepy that I can't keep my eyes open. Kinda funny to want me to sleep in order to be awake for real
The first song is nostalgic beyond comprehension. The frequencies bring our minds back to a state of naive bliss, sleeping in the early hours of the morning as a child. We wake up, look outside, and see a cloud casting a shadow on infinite, peaceful, green rolling hills. While this image may look strange now, long ago it was a beautiful and interesting sight to a very small child. Remember how the mountains seemed to stretch all the way up to the top of the sky? Remember how the highways looked like they went on forever? Everything seemed so large, so fascinating, so mysterious. As a small child, music really did sound like this. Our minds were trying to make sense of the sounds we were hearing. Often times, we’d even hear this kind of music in our deepest dreams. These songs bring me back to my earliest childhood memories. It hurts to think about how long ago many of them were collected. Once you pass a certain age, it all goes by too quickly. When you’re little, you’re blind to this naive beauty. But my, when you revisit it, it’s unfathomable.
gorgeously written, friend. may your melancholic dreams soothe your wandering mind through this unreal reality we find ourselves in-side out, in the outer inner world of consciousness, peaceful escapes to you...
@@kyberkreeper it’s called ‘memory image’ by claude larsen! the actual song in this playlist, ‘nevermind, everything’s ok’ by dreamcorp uses it as a sample.
At 20:18 it reminds me of my childhood. I'm in my room and it's a stormy night (I always loved storms) and I'm waiting to fall asleep but I cant and every 30 minutes I can hear a police car go past my window but I still cant fall asleep.
The original song is “the fashion show” by Alicks. This is a slowed version. I love his music, he goes by another name: A L E X. You can find all of his music on the “Alex Lasater Archive” RUclips channel. As I said before, I’m a huge fan of his music, and I love it all.
I love indoor waterparks. They are just so nostalgic. Just, indoor pools in general. The water's clear with a tiny tint of blue, the tiles have cement in between them, I'm not scared of water or anything but it feels safe to just float on the water and close your eyes.
stranger who made this playlist, I don't know who you are or where you are now, but thank you. this playlist has been my comfort place for a year and a half now and it always calms me down and allows me to look at the world from a completely different perspective. it's the perfect combination of tracks and images
The clouds where too low to the ground. They were big. The grass was short. The sky was a perfect blue. He heard a ringing in his ears, but it felt soft, and comforting. He wanted to stay here. He closed his eyes. “Sleep well.” william heard a voice. He didnt know where it came from, who said it, or how, and frankly, he didnt care. He kept his eyes closed, soaking in every bit of peace he found in this state. Without a care in the world, he stopped thinking about the heavy bags under his eyes, or the unpaid bills at home. William forgot about home. He was glad he did. Nothing there could compare to the peace he felt right here. At that final thought, william never remembered his home again. He never felt again, or heard the world. William was able to rest now. In the empty parking lot, a single dim light flickered. Inside williams car. He had breathed his last, and the pill jar fell to the cold floor.
the first image and song seem comforting to me when i was a kid i thought clouds were not that high, like you could reach them if you built something tall every time i was in a car i thought of clouds and how weird they are, they're little puffs of water floating above us giving us shade from the sun and watering the plants they look beautiful, sometimes i can't stop staring at them my favourite ones were those feathery ones, they made the sky look like a farm field there were ones far away that made the horizon look like huge mountains there were those cylinder ones that you usually saw before a storm, those ones were so cool, i liked going out on my balcony and watching them roll before i had to go inside due to the storm i feel like so many things are under appreciated nowadays, if you're in a car now you just turn on your phone and wait out till you arrive, the best experience ever is just watching the clouds and landscape outside of the window, especially on rainy days clouds make funny shapes, my imagination run so wild, i just pointed out different shapes that look like things; "that looks like a whale!, oh, and that one like a dragon! that one is longggg, that's a snake!" clouds are so funny
I find Dream-Core so facinating and not one bit disturbing everything has its place and it’s so vast and open welcoming you in. It’s almost like a dream or a life we lived giving some kind of dejavu.
Whenever I need to take a power nap sitting up in my chair, I put this on. It makes it feel like I've reached some sort of save point or safe zone. Thanks for this playlist, resting my eyes for 30 minutes has never been easier.
Indoor pools/water parks always felt different in many ways. One specific way was how calm the atmosphere yet almost forgiving. Made me feel at peace even when I had a fear of being left behind. It almost was too cozy but still peaceful.
At around 15:24 in the video that background, the school, I’ve had a dream of it, and this is basically kinda what dreamcore is, and it’s comforting but strange, and I love it.
It's not that I want to go back, I just want to be surprised and excited again* Things changed recently and I feel those too again, I thank it from a real human connection
I was listening to this while emptying out my dresser to make room for clothes. I had to throw out a bunch of my old clothes and this playlist made me look at them and remember each and every single memory i had with them. My middle school years, my first time in a new school, my summers, my winters, parties i went to, people I knew, and so on. It was really nostalgic going through everything and just reliving my childhood. To be fair im still here n high school so its not over but to see how far back those things were really got me. Thank you

Woke up suddenly today from one of the most pleasant dreams I've ever had, and one of the first things I thought of, apart from writing it down, was dreamcore.
I just left my first job and I'm kind of going through a quarter-life (fifth-of-life?) crisis where I'm realizing I'm not who I thought I was, everything feels surreal and things like this help ground my feelings
I really like the idea of sitting in a dark room, big enough for two people but small enough so that I feel squished. And then just listening to this on repeat. The thing is, I have a fear of the dark so it’s comforting yet unsettling.
Dreamcore and weirdcore to me take me back to my younger self, when I wasn’t being made fun of my autism, when I actually ate alot without feeling self conscious about it, when I finally felt like I didn’t have to be a fake person I had to be and to be myself without feeling self conscious, it takes me back when I had to struggle in school cause teacher didn’t understand me and I was known as a bad kid. I miss being younger but at the same time I don’t miss who I use to be. Dreamcore makes me feel safe and comfortable while being disturbing to others
Every time I listen or look at dreamcore stuff, I get this mixed feeling of some comfort but, a lot of dread and sadness. And I keep finding myself coming back to these time to time.
Dreamcore always makes me either scared or sad, but that's why I love it so much. This is what art is all about; expressing inexpressible emotions and memories.
Playing this through my mom's phone, eating in a driveway parking lot, blasting the living shit out of this song was a very subtle yet blissfully beautiful for me. I contemplated and imagined my average, unhappily yet joyfilled mashed up life, thinking, as i eat with my small toy poodle by my side waiting for me to share a piece. I was glad, to hear this masterpiece while chomping bits of my kfc🍗 meal.
This is probably my favorite dreamcore playlist right now, i've been listening to it the past few days. Many dreamcore playlists that are just music (no lyrics) can feel pretty depressing and/or creepy. Not that it's bad for them to, but I look for stuff that's like this! This one feels very chill and dreamy, it relaxes me
I can't tell why, but this music and specially the images of pools make me feel a strange but pleaseant void on my chest, like I just losed something, but wasn't needed it. Thank u. Edit: I am reading "The other", a story written by Jorge Luis Borges and this playlist makes it just perfect.
Makes me feel like I’m calmly sinking to the bottom. The pool is empty. The water is blue with a white light from the underwater lights. I let myself sink. I’m tired and now I am at peace.

Hello! I just want everyone reading this to know that your amazing. You’re so strong for making it this far and I know you will make it even farther. So take a moment to rest and take a deep breath. I’m proud of you, and I’m sure I won’t be the only one to think that. Make time for yourself and know that your not alone. ❤️❤️
I really love this playlist. The only thing I would change (and this is just my personal opinion) is avoid songs with the lofi-beat vibe. Please keep making these though
Stuff like this always make me cry without fail. I want to feel safe again, to have that air of magic and wonder, yet I know I can't have it again even if I were to go back, knowing the things I know now that went on behind the curtains of that ignorant world. Little me would always be happy in my memories, I rather remember them laughing than let them end up like me sobbing over a rainbow colored tarp.
It's...spooky in a tiny way like...you've been here before kind of way...but it's also beautiful, reminds me of when I was a kid again, it retains those fears and memories and clashes them into something wonderful
That first song just hits. Something about it and the picture make me feel like im on a life changing adventure, but im alone and that is ok. Its just me and the hills and clouds.
Bro... that thumbnail looks exactly like the public swimming pool where I live. Are all indoor swimming pools structured the same!? Actually made me feel safe.
I was having another panic attack from shark week, and this title came up. In desperation, picking it to put on, i grounded my thoughts straining to see if I recognized the notes, sounds, if it would come quickly. Instead, I further calmed realizing the sounds were far slower than my thoughts. Thank you for this. I am desperately trying to keep calm as a gay woman who regularly received unwanted advances in Ohio. This week has been... Challenging. For so many cascades of a reason. Thank you for making this. The choice and follow through act as mercy for those looking for a sign.
Thanks so much for another great playlist! I like listening to it while doing school work cuz it is very relaxing. Have a nice day and keep up the good work!
I dont find this genre unsettling at all. Dreamcore/Weirdcore fully reminds me of the unsureness of childhood. Being completely unaware of how the world truly works and the sense of nervousness, but also wonder that comes from it. Everything feels so new and distant, but you know you'll gradually learn more and more. It's a bittersweet feeling because it reflects on that wonder and fun of discovering, but eventually, its that discovery and increased knowledge of the world that will eventually be the undoing of your innocence. This genre/aesthetic captures that feeling perfectly.
For some reason indoor water parks always felt safe to me. Maybe the chlorine, the color of the water,or maybe that I could touch the ground. It was like I have complete control of whatever I do in the water. The sounds, the smell, the feel, and the warmth of the water made me feel at peace.

It's like the cold embrace of the warm backrooms. On the negative side, nobody is able to reach you - but on the positive side nobody is able to reach you.
I honestly don't even find it eerie anymore. I let myself drift away in the sounds and visuals.
My comment isnt unique but I'm in a rough spot in my life and these playlist are helping me make it through. Its very meditative and in a way creatively uplifting. Thank you and everyone who puts these types of playlist together. Its truly wonderful

There's something about sleeping to your dreamcore playlists, it's such a fun experience though

It’s good to hear that you are finding solutions to help with your problem, especially with these tracks. Keep vibing and peace be with you
Now this, has got to be one of the most beautifully written comments on RUclips.
Apparently, when someone gets dementia or a similar disease, music is one of the few things the person will remember later. It's just in there. Deep in our brain, somewhere. It's important to us, I guess.
POV:
You are floating along the galaxy, with no real destination in mind, no company around except you and the bright stars. Just you, the worlds, the stars, and the galaxy keeping you company on this nowhere adventure
Edit: thank you all for the likes and positive feedback! This is actually the first POV I've written ((all though I do write storys)). I'm glad I can make you all smile/feel safe. Have a wonderful day/night/afternoon wherever you are!

no one makes playlists like yours! they often lump dreamcore in with weirdcore when I find dreamcore soft and comforting while wierdcore is harsh and strange.
Reading this felt like reading dialogue from a very weird RPG and I love it.
When I'm awake in a dream, my mind try to make me feels so sleepy that I can't keep my eyes open. Kinda funny to want me to sleep in order to be awake for real
I only had a lucid dream one and it was a friend being at my grandparents house but my friend never met them. Idk why tho
I see it as an opportunity to have a conversation with my unconcious self. I don’t try to take control. I just see what it has to offer.
I love listening to compilations like these whilst drawing monster/enemy/creature ideas in my sketchbook.
That's cool!!

POV : You visit places from your childhood, left alone in this world, wondering if your memories were real

@@mozzeralleh Alright, edited the list, thank you!
the first image and song seem comforting to me
when i was a kid i thought clouds were not that high, like you could reach them if you built something tall
every time i was in a car i thought of clouds and how weird they are, they're little puffs of water floating above us giving us shade from the sun and watering the plants
they look beautiful, sometimes i can't stop staring at them
my favourite ones were those feathery ones, they made the sky look like a farm field
there were ones far away that made the horizon look like huge mountains
there were those cylinder ones that you usually saw before a storm, those ones were so cool, i liked going out on my balcony and watching them roll before i had to go inside due to the storm
i feel like so many things are under appreciated nowadays, if you're in a car now you just turn on your phone and wait out till you arrive, the best experience ever is just watching the clouds and landscape outside of the window, especially on rainy days
clouds make funny shapes, my imagination run so wild, i just pointed out different shapes that look like things;
"that looks like a whale!, oh, and that one like a dragon! that one is longggg, that's a snake!"
clouds are so funny

Woke up suddenly today from one of the most pleasant dreams I've ever had, and one of the first things I thought of, apart from writing it down, was dreamcore.
Finally a good playlist to listen to while I lay down in bed and forget how to move my limbs
The thing is, I have a fear of the dark so it’s comforting yet unsettling.
thank you for this. it's really helping with my anxiety crisis.
i love ur acount, is so comforting and listen in the night is amazing, u only posted 3videos and they r my fav now, keep going, i love ur work

I can't tell why, but this music and specially the images of pools make me feel a strange but pleaseant void on my chest, like I just losed something, but wasn't needed it. Thank u.

I would have loved so many of those bedrooms when I was a kid. Heck, I'd probably still love them now!
