    Good variation. One small tip. If you a making this for kids, do not mix heavily after adding the thalippu/ thadka with the chillies. The whole rice will become spicy.

    Adding onions/shallots to curd rice adds an extra flavour and a special taste and would not b as a regular curd rice tempered with juz ginger n urad dal with a splutter of some curry leaves ..I tried it and it was delicious.. thanks for the recipe 👍🏻

    👌...New twist of making curd rice. I'm gonna try this. Instead of curd I add thick buttermilk.
    I usually cook the rice this way(milk and water) for rice sweet recipes.

    cooking rice with milk is the secret, btw shallots are also not so usual in the process that I know. Hmm will need to try this method and see.

    To my knowledge never serve curd rice...lemon rice n tamarind rice in brass vessels....sour n brass reacts and it spoils the taste...food turns bluish grey ....just a suggestion...i m sorry if i m wrong 😍

    Instead of காய்ந்த மிளகாய் (Dried chillies) try with மோர் மிளகாய். Onion 😂😂... Cashew, Pomegranate, Grapes , Kismis kuda serthu irukalam...Any way nice try...Kudos....
