Sic! Thanks for all the replies here too Adam Super helpful with adapting to the F one kit and components I’ve been lucky enough to test here in WA. So much easier paddling in & riding this stuff , particularly when it’s sizey. Great footage and tunes !!!
What an awesome YT page with really great videos. I wish I had one of these foils down here, but they are way too expensive. I'll just stick to my SUP. Greetings from Arraial do Cabo, Brazil.
Love the music to go with the foilin! Your next level compared to all the others out there . Really good. Is it hard to control the pitch of the board when you level out as you come down the face of those steeper waves. You make it look easy but I notice in other peoples videos as they come down the face and through the trough they seem to almost get bucked off
Thanks man, appreciate the kind words. Yeh so long fuses help so much with pitch control. Most people are stuck in this short fuse vortex because they want to be able to flick their foils around. I personally like longer fuses to get distance out of my turns. Feels way more like surfing!
I quarantee that the boards on those things will be made longer soon. Looks like you would be able to manage balance better if you had more to work with. There is just a little equilibrium line to work with with the board being short. I've never tried them so I could be wrong . It's like air surfing. I get to try it. Surfing for fourth years and skate and snowboard , it's just another baord sport with a side stance to learn.
What are you doing when you rail grab again, are you pushing down the bosrd instead of pulling it towards you? Ive been towing alot on the 650 in fiji, and im starting to do harder carves, and there are times when i could touch my rail, but i havent figured out the functional reason to do the grab. Thx in advance for explaining
Greetings from Norway... I have to say, you have completely, changed my view on foiling... Having surfed for 15 years on the west coast of Stavanger, Norway I've always thought it was'nt for me. After watching your videos for about a week... I'm getting one. Your stylish carves is very inspiring. But buing a foil is kind of a headache... I'm looking at the Gravity fct 1800 for starting out, but I'm not sure if it has the speed to be able to connect waves. Maybe the Phantom is a better option. I'm 75kg and the waves in Norway is weak often onshore. 10 second period is good... above 12 is rear...Any thoughts?
Hey there @Andreas Herigstad, I am a long time foiler with similar waves to you, I would recommend only buying foils from 3 brands: F-one , Armstrong, Lift. And 75kg you would be suited to learning on a armstrong HS1250 front wing as you have surfing background.
@@kenz659 Thanks for your reply... very helpful getting advice from someone with experience. So, I'm looking to buy a second hand f-one Gravity fct 1800... how do you reckon that compare to the Armstrong HS1250?
Hi mate, stoked I could inspire you. Thanks for the kind words. I agree with Andreas about F-one and lift, but I wouldn’t recommend Armstrong. I would recommend F-one over any brand as they are way ahead of anything on the market. Their quality and production of their gear is second to none. They’ve been in the industry for over 30 years so they know what’s up. I’d recommend a 1080 phantom with a 75cm high modulus mast to start on. That will be super stable and a good one to learn on. Then you can build out your quiver as you progress as they have at ton of options. 🤙🏼
@@misterbennettshey matee. Just curious as I've seen you ripping in videos on Armstrong gear as well as to why you wouldn't recommend them. Love ya work. Cheers
just amazing , you save us time to see what is possible in surfoil waitting for next one! , I'm trying the 360 carving on the same wave, did you do one on a video?
Hi ! Great foiling as always 🥵🥵 Do you think the shape of the hull (with the rails ending in some kind of a pin tail) helps you paddle in faster in waves compared to a traditional tail ? Do you think it could be beneficial for small weak waves ? Thank you for your answer !
100% it does. Everyone who rides my signature board always says how it paddles 2-3L more than what it actually is. It also has a really straight rail outline (instead of an egg shape like most foil boards) and this helps with paddling also. 🤙🏼
Must be on a small wing to make these takeoffs. I find it incredibly hard to take off on waves this size / power at the moment but i think its a gear thing. If your happy to share, whats the wing, stab and fuse you riding here and what’s your kg weight at the moment?
awesome and crazy the kinds of waves youre taking off on! though, almost miss seeing the figure 8 wraparound cutbacks.. what mast length are you using for these bigger waves and what do you use for those smaller byron swells?
@@misterbennetts Whats the best F1 stock mast for surfing? I saw they've got new 80cm ones, Hm for downwind and non Hm for surfing, do you reckon one of them or the 85hm? Cheers 🤙

Facinating from the First second with this amazing take off. Unfair for all of us, paving the path of what is possible on a foil…🔥🔥🔥

Wow. Those camera angles are great. And how much of those wing tip can you breach?
Yeh Seano nailed the camera work. You can breach almost the whole half of a wing on these F-One foils. They are amazing!
Pretty cool to see the wing tip emerge from the wave face.
Yeh they are fun those turns!

It’s actually the complete opposite of what you are saying. That’s why I’ve landed on this size board. 🤙🏼

Sorry I meant I agree with Ken. You could also go a 1280 phantom or one of the seven seas in a similar size if your waves are super weak.
