My landlord owns and lives there. You walked past the part he lives in down stairs near the toilets. Its also near the kitchen you said is from the 1950's👍💚💛❤️ I've been wanting to go and ghost hunt there for years ever since I experienced some paranormal activity down near the toilets which used to be the dungeon when my brother was doing a rave. Its hard to imagine hundreds of people raving in there and all around but there used to be load's about 20 years ago.
Went to the castle on a school trip from London in the late 70s. Great place. Remember they told us the tales before going to our dorms to sleep. Made it very scary to sleep in.
Can someone explain to me how an app on a phone could possibly detect ghosts? It just seems to me that this necromancer thing just says random words with a built in echo effect and Alan tries to fit them in with whatever narrative he’s trying to tell.
That's exactly what it is. I've been on 1 ghost investigation where he used this and I lost all respect for him the second he started using it. Unfortunate to see Alan using it all the time as I used to have nothing but respect for him.
ALAN MAKES IT SOUND AS THOUGH IT'S ALLWAYS GHOSTS SPEAKING WHEN IT'S NOT. ANY SOUND HE HEARS IT'S A GHOST ANY SHADOWS HE SEE IT'S A GHOST... THAT'S POOR GHOST HUNTING LMFAO
Some people who believe in ghosts think they are detectable over Radio Frequency. A possibility is that Android and iOS can see received signal strength (RSSI) of Bluetooth, WiFi and cellular signals and the app could be looking at variations in RSSI and sounding words based on that. How you determine that the variations are not due to people moving (water and fat are excellent absorbers of RF), transmissions from the webcam broadcasts used, multi-path or even Cosmic Background Radiation is beyond me. I bet the app writers didn't even go to that trouble and if someone were to decompile the app you would see a bunch of sound files and use of a random number generator - something that could be put together in a weekend. I don't know which app Alan is using, but I imagine the app writers are making a nice sum. I guess its harmless daftness, but like other commenters I have a lot of respect for what Alan has done over the years and this kind of thing tarnishes it.
I Traced my family on Ancestry back to Alexander Fetherstonhaugh 1468-1544 my 13th great-grandfather. Albany Percy Featherstonehaugh 1515-1569 My 12th great-grandfather. The slaying of Sir Albany Featherstonehaugh in 1530 by a party of Ridleys, a result, it is believed, of a prevailing deadly feud. The location of this incident is still named as Deadman's Haugh, about a mile from the castle, across the river. Sir Albany Featherstonehaugh was high sheriff of Northumberland, but while carrying out his duties he was murdered by Nicholas and Hugh Ridley, wanted for questioning they fled to Tarset castle where the Charltons (who no doubt had something to do with the murder) prevented their capture. As a 13th + great-granddaughter. I think this is awesome. Fun fact: I hate attending weddings. I feel anxious like something bad is going to happen. When I was married I wanted only immediate family there(approx 10people).

At 9:22 there's a woman's voice an EVP! Sounds like " Oh God" or similar!
You can hear it 👍🏻

What did you think about the knocking on the door bit? Oh and when he was using the dowsing rods?
POOR GHOST HUNTERS.. EVERYTHING THEY SEE OR HEAR IS PARANORMAL. WIND SHADOWS NOISES ANYTHING LOL
I'm an ancestor of the Featherstones 🇺🇲 this is disgraceful.
