My dad was a lifelong biker and had one very similar to this that he carried every day. His was about 2/3rds that size. You don't see these very often.
Nah, its child's toy. I won 2 of these and they look great and that sound of opening is cool, but in a fight I wouldnt trust them due to breakable blade. You all want good and relatively cheap street knife , get Cold Steel Ti Lite 6. It is about 50 bucks and it is solid, thick blade, good lock, and absolute stabber. Stiletto is cool as for collection purpose and only for this. You won't baton with it, you wont fight with it with a guy in thick leather jacket even. Still cool looking knife, but as they say in other films on YT "stiletto is more bark, less bite". Cya.
I like it! Knock off (yes I think so) or not, I still like it. The vintage ones are most desirable and expensive..a lot of knives are still being handmade in Maniago Italy and are of good quality. As for use full.. stabbing, light cutting but not for prying or batoning etc.. I use a crowbar or fixed blade for that..... . Some makers like Burn knives make really good and strong switchblades, just to name one. Anyway this particular one you've shower is a nice one in my opinion. Thanks and peace ❤
It is a very cool and fun knife. For me the part that makes it absurd is how unpractical it is for me. It is so large and cumbersome I would never carry it...... if I had a smaller one I sure would! Cheers, thanks for the comment!
@@silveronthesage I have had one since I was 14 years old by a maker in Italy. It has a 5" blade, and it is beautiful. The steel on it is very strong and stays sharp. The point is really strong, and like needle. It has horn handles, and solid bolsters. I check now for the price and they are very expensive! I would never part with mine! I carried it in the Army. And all my mates who felt how harp the point was, got bit! Thanks for showing!
I bought one of these in Spain decades ago as a memento thing. Got it back through the airport checks…which was risky. Never used it of course. It is really meant as a thug tool for stabbing people…which I have never condoned, but I just like to have things!!!
They were art pieces from Italian craftsmen. Not “thug tools.” Not a single one of them were made with good quality steel. Some weren’t even sharpened. Yeah, nice weapon and “thug tool” lol
It is a counterfeit, not a clone, It has a fake AKC Italy logo, the bolsters are low contour, the kickspring looks wrong. The cutting edge blade grind looks uneven. The handle pins are not hand fitted. The locktab is too big and square. The horn handle slab has a square chunky look. . . It's definitely Asian Made. . .it's a fun toy, but if you stress it, it will fail, like sawing a rope, your backspring will bend out and fail. I've been collecting since 1965. . .Asian Tilt Locks are better than Rizzuto's (for some reasons) . . But if you buy a new Latama LLC made in 2020, a 5mm thick blade, You'll be shocked at how solid, sharp, well put together a "Real" stiletto can be. . .Jerryk25 . .SharperDeal.
It's a Chinese copy of an akc. Frank beltrame is not the only maker of stilettos ya know. They don't even use that stamp anymore and it's wrong even so! This is the stuff that comes from aliexpress n wish etc from like 10 years ago. Please explain how a factory reproduction from China with no copyright laws is not a knock off?!
It's worse than a clone . . .it's a counterfeit with a fake logo. . . would have been a nice clone, or asian stiletto, if they had not faked a tang stamp.
These where popular with the shin heads, mods, and other unsavoury folks in the 50s and 60s. Nice knife.
Yeah, they definitely have a history to them. Fun to play with. Thanks for the support!
Nah not really. Hollywood made you think so.
I don't think there were skinheads or mods in the 50s or 60s. I dont know what a Shin Head is either
It's awesome. Cold Steel Ti-Lite 6 is based on this one. I like stilettos, there is something classic about them.
Agreed!
My dad was a lifelong biker and had one very similar to this that he carried every day. His was about 2/3rds that size. You don't see these very often.
It's definitely one of the most unique knifes I have! Thanks for the support!
These are my favorite. I love the 13 inch stilettos. They're the only size I want to buy.

yeah smart idea, sharpen the blade on both sides!!! :'') please record and show us how to close it.
Haha yeah! You just leave a small section of blade unsharpened or use another object to close it. Thanks for the view!
Have one myself . They are really fun to have around . A little big yo be a fidget toy but still . Thanks for the video
Haha yeah it is a little big!
Take a good picture of the tang stamp. That’s how you determine if it is a real AKC.😊
Yeah, that's kind of why I think it's a knock off. Still fun though and seems decently made!
I'm surprised the Italians didn't give those a pocket clip.
Haha yup.... I guess I could add one myself lol
Unless they had an extra hidden pocket. You know Italian fashion !
I wish these were easier to find. I have around 50 collected so far from 3 inches to 18 inches. They are too hard to find and get so pricey

Yeah, this knife will stay at home in the collection. It is too big a bulky to carry in my opinion. Thanks for the support!
Gentlemens utensil opening mail in European homes.
Longer utilities need counterweights (9''+) to damp kick upon blade release..smoooth..
Yes it is a great tool! It does have a little kick!
I like the ones with finger guards that deploy when the blade opens
I love these things they are a very sustainable choice
"Knifes" 😂

I used to have one of those I used it as letter opener. It's seemed so old.
Don't bring a knife to a gunfight.
Looking for one with a 10inch blade but in a fight I would use my fixed blade
Current production swivel bolster.
The original 50's Latama imported picklock and flat bolster are the collectible ones 🗡
No it's a fake
Thanks for the comment and support!
@@gurkanakbal It's not fake... it's a real current production Italian stiletto. It's just not a vintage collectible.
@@scottdunn2178 no it's fake
@@scottdunn2178 certain from the logo
I have one just like it and two smaller 9 inch ones. As you say they are all stamped Made in Italy but I think they are Chinese made replicas.
Yup, thanks for the comment!
It is a weapon. Just like all automatic knives. So are they absurd? What is the problem? Yet it is cool. It is real! It is a killing blade. Stiletto!

What the hell do you mean absurd? It's awesome, not absurd. I've owned stilettos since I was a kid.
There are videos of how to tell the fake akc knives on youtube...
Sweet, I'll have to take a look
I have one i bought in 1980…its the same knife
That is soo cool! Where did you get yours from?
Yep it's a knockoff it's got a swivel bolster to close the originals were pick locks much more difficult to close
440 or 420 steel?
I am not sure, the blade is marked stainless steel. I have suspicions it is a knock off though. Thanks for the comment!
This dude doesn't even know what a bolster is.....
To nie je nôž , ale bodák.....úplne neupotrebiteľný !
Yeah, it is kind of unpractical. But cool to have in the collection!
That's not a knock off.. You're a knock off.
Looks Made in China
bayonet
It is sharp and pointy for sure!
Dagger
Yeah, knock off. I'll give $50 for your knock off. Deal?
wonderful
Thanks!

Yep indeed!
You actually have a collection lol
Lol, it may be a small collection but yes..... this is the only stiletto I own. Thanks for the view and comment!
Not a knock off its a factory reproduction of a Frank beltrame
Good to know, thanks!
What is a reproduction, Isn't it the same as imitation?
@@gurkanakbal It just means it's current production. Beltrame, Campolin, AKC, etc. are still being made.
