    I've bought several of these too. I use them at work. I really like them. Compact, inexpensive, easy to carry in the shirt pocket and they throw a good usable beam of light. Evidently they changed the name now, they are Braun now. I haven't bought one of the new name lights but did intend to get one at the local stores sidewalk sale.

    I had a 400 latch arm fail after two years, and they warrantied it and replaced the whole headlamp with a 450. The latch arm on that one lasted less than a year and I just got the same replacement part as you but they didn't include instructions on how to replace. This video was helpful and made it an easy repair, so thanks! I'm still skeptical about the design. That latch arm seems like such an obvious failure point that it shouldn't be made from plastic.

    I just ordered one of these in all-black for my Kimber R7 Mako (wonderful pistol). Odd though, it's only available for the Mako on Kimber's website. When I was 6'1" and 280lbs I hated IWB carry. I've since lost 45lbs and although I can now carry IWB more comfortably, guess what?........I STILL hate IWB carry!😂 OWB for me with this one. Thanks! Nice video.

    Been a Black Diamond user since 2019 and have owned 4 BD headlamps but this model is the only one that the latch got broken in half today. I have no idea where to order it in my country since the only store that used to carry BD headlamps has not been carrying the brand since post pandemic. It sucks that it happened to me today and I have a fieldwork next week so I had to order a Petzl with the same lumens as the Storm 450 as an emergency measure. I feel bad for BD since my old Storm model still works like clockwork.

    Had my Coyote one for about 2 years… looks more beat up than yours. (Took some aluminum black and coated it yesterday to get rid of most of the bare aluminum. Worked.. but looks a little wonky now lol. Ordered a back up battery yesterday for a “just in case” scenario. Love these lights… just have to make sure to go to an authorized dealer to make sure it’s not a counterfeit. Ordered one from Amazon and it came in a plain white box. Obviously not a real Streamlight. Went to Bass Pro and picked it up cheaper than Amazon. They wanted 38 on Amazon. Got it at Bass Pro (and peace of mind it’s real) and got it for 27 out the door for Memorial Day sale. (Originally $31.99)

  • @Johnsormani
    @Johnsormani 4 месяца назад

    There’s a few things to consider with this method: you are assuming that the reticle of the scope is exactly perpendicular to the scope base, which isn’t always the case. Also when torquing the rings down you might introduce tension which might end up with the scope not being level. So you will still need to check with spirit levels after mounting the scope. It’s all not that critical if you shout out to 100 or 200 yards but 1 or 2 degrees cant will result in a miss at 100 yards.( up to almost 25 “ )

    Well mine has no problems, I found center on my front sight , punched it with a cenerr punch and drilled into it about a 1/32 of an inch in with a very fine bit! Next l put bright orange nail polish in the hole. Mine is the original LCP and I have had no problems with it ! This is not a 25 yard gun but I would shoot at about 7 yards and most confrontations happen with in that range. If you get a chance to get an original and it function flawlessly, Remember what I did .Then get a big piece of cardboard at 7 yards on a range .Draw a 4 inch circle with a black magic marker in the center of the card board and color in the circle. Next ,try to shoot THE CENTER OF THE CIRCLE! This will show you where your pistol is hitting! MINE HITS A little high so I shoot a little lower, Range time on these little guns is very important!!! I don't mind the trigger, It's that way for Safety Purposes ! I REMOVED THE SLIDE AND TOOK A PIECE OF LEATHER , PLACED IT AROUND THE SLIDE WHERE IT MADE CONTACT IN MY VICE ,TIGHTENED IT SNUG WITHOUT Over Tighten and BENDING IT !!! Then MEASHURED, PINGED ,DRILLED AND PAINTED IT, Remember to always check your firearm before doing anything ! Especially your E.D.C, Treat All Firearms as if they were loaded! And any Altrications made BY YOU to your Firearms is YOUR decision and YOU RESUME FULL RESPONSIBILITY!

    You and I have the same problem, we like to "fix it". I have a similar model and it had the same issue. I sent it back to Ruger. They said it was fixed, it wasn't. I sent it back again and it turned out they needed to replace the slide. It works. Lesson, always and frequently test your carry option, let the manufacturer "fix it".

    Get yourself a bottle of original Tetra Gun Lubricant with synthetic fluoropolymers and a half ounce plastic applicator bottle with a needle dispenser. Fill the applicator bottle with the Tetra lubricant. Apply a couple of drops of Tetra in the hole behind the extractor every couple of weeks and your rusting issue will disappear. You can apply a light cost of Tetra on the slide and wipe the excess off with a clean cloth. You can actually see the Tetra being absorbed into the metal of the slide. There now may be better lubricants on the market. I've alawys had great results with the original Tetra Gun Lubricant so that what I use.

    You should have immediately sent it back to Ruger for repair. You should always fire a minimum of 200 rounds through the pistol you are going to carry to protect your life. Some guns just need to be returned to the manufacturer and your pistol is one of them.

I just kept the plastic pin for a spare. I did have a failure to feed when it was new. Put 200 rounds through mine and no problems after that. I use mine for a backup now. I just wanted a more powerful pistol for concealed carry.

    I couldn't find the "LCP Pro" being sold anywhere and was confused about that... but then later (by accident) I ended up finding that they sold a model called the "LCP Custom" and that's the one that came out with the aluminum red trigger. I'm not sure about the slide serrations though. I've seen both "custom" versions and regular versions that have the same zig zag cut serrations. I'm not sure what they call it, but I think it looks better. Hope I can find one myself, but I might just have one cut since they always have to be Cerakoted anyways (because their bluing is about as effective as bare steel).

      Polish the feed ramp on the barrel or have it done , I do this with all my auto pistols , This is to make shure that the tip of the bullet that makes contact with the ramp don't hang up and jam the slide and helps chamber the round correctly! When cleaning the barrel , examine the ramp to FOR SCRATCHES OR NICKS ! SOME AMMO IS VERY FINICKY FOR CERTAIN BARRELS, JUST STICK WITH WHAT CHAMBERS WELL! CHECK THE SPRING TO MAKE SHURE IT DONT NEED REPLACING AND SLIDE FOR WARE ALONG WITH THE EXTRACTTOR AND SPRING.
