Thanks for the follow up video. Just took delivery on mine, and am waiting for the new rudder. Yesterday was the maiden voyage. As you mentioned, the stock rudder is disappointing. I was surprised at the effort needed to turn the prop. Have you noticed if it loosens up with use? I also need to rethink what I carry with me and how it is organized, since the pedal mechanism sits right where I used to keep my rods, and small tackle boxes.

Great glad you got one it’s a nice boat once you get the new rudder. There is adequate space under the seat for tackle boxes and tools as you probably found out. I purchased a pack of lanyards for my fishing tools just incase I flip the thing. There are some neat fishing pole options mounting to a milk crate that I’ve been thinking about. You are correct have the pedal drive is something to get used to after having a paddle kayak.

@@j44881 I have a milk crate with rod holders, which I keep prepacked, but I need to put some sort of padded support under it to keep it from interferring with the rudder disc. Thanks again.

Unfortunately I don’t have the link, it’s not available on Amazon. It’s has been available on the Brooklyn kayak website however currently they do not list it on there accessory products page. I have an email out to there customer service I’ll let you know what I find out.

Yours is the second video I've seen with the fit issue for the peddle cover. Other than that, what is your opinion of the BKC? I am in the market for a new kayak and I am reviewing this company. Thanks!

Hi John, great question and my quick answer is, it’s a good Kayak, especially for the price. It kind of depends on where you will be using it. I’m on the Gulf and on rivers/streams in the Everglades and the BKC has a good haul design for that combination. If I were just on rivers and small lakes I’d get a kayak with a seat that was more elevated and more stable haul for flat water, there are some good choices out there for that. A down side of the BKC is the rudder that comes with the boat is to small. You have to buy the larger one that BKC sells which I think is around $120. Here is the link explaining talking about that. ruclips.net/video/MYj9SsyTdDA/видео.htmlsi=5DyJbFcTa_oIEGPu
With the enlarged rudder I don’t think you will be disappointed. The peddle system is good and the seat is very comfortable. Let me know if you have any other specific questions, I’ll be happy to tell you what I can.

@@j44881 Thank you. I am in SC and kayak in similar place. Travel from lakes to the coast, including the Gulf Coast. Not Rivers & Streams. Usually bigger water.
